this girl is a psycopath! seriously: first she stalks a guy she knows nothing about, even though he is ENGAGED, memorizes his work schedule and spies on him with binoculars. she's crazy!!

and then she dates him, knowing that he is engaged!!

and the guy is an idiot. a random woman comes up to him and knows alot of details about his life and he doesn´t suspect anything?

that being said this movie is hilarious xD but the characters are really unlikable.

This is a most delightful and fun movie. Ricki Lake had a nice face and a big heart to match. This movie teaches a lesson about how anybody can find love, no matter the size of the person. The size of the heart matters the most!

@mybabies20091 She was really brave, because she obviously had low self esteem and what she did was out of her comfort zone. Give yourself a break. I'm guessing that you'll get braver when you get a little older. I mean, I don't know how old you are, but you sound young. Rejection is hard to face at any age, but first of all you have to figure out a way to realize that you are a worthwhile person, regardless of how you might look. You have a lot to offer.

love this movie and how the man found love in her eyes and soul. not just her weight. he did wrong cheating on the other girl. he should of said i am leaving you. i guess it does happen mostly. but he seemed mostly like a dog on a leash with the other girl. the sales lady needed a slap in the face. its still hard to find the right clothes even today. you either to tall, to short, or anything between.

I worked as an extra on this film, in the Toronto scenes (skating, subway, and restaurant scenes). Thanks, it's a walk down memory lane for me.

I'd like to say that both Lake and Sheffer were very nice people, they even sat with extras the day of the skating scene for dinner, to chat (Sheffer was at my table, oh my!) :) I think this was what prompted Ms Lake to lose weight; she seemed sad through filming.). Mail me for more anectodes.
