  • this is definitely the best version

  • >MFW

    ;~;

  • go to 2:41 to see Chopin's hand cast

  • rubestein + chopin = omg

  • To all you ass faggots that say "OH THIS IS NOT A SONG THIS IS A PIECE"

lemme remind you what a song actually is in the world of science:

A combination of sound frequencies that sound pleasant to the ear in harmony. So get your egos out of your asses...

  • Hats off to Arturo for not falling into the trap so many do and playing it too fast - as if somehow more music can be squeezed from this piece by sheer velocity.

  • This is what helps me get back on my piano for another hours practice. (:

    Chopin and

    Rubinstein.

  • "hi, i'm chopin!" ^^

  • @missmdr1000 Chopin would said: "Witam, jestem Szopen" ^^

  • @vteeck yes, that's true sorry ^^''''

  • @vteeck yes, that's true sorry ^^''''

  • @vteeck yes, that's true sorry ^^""

  • Damn it!

    It is not a song!

  • where can I download this?

  • what the hell is it? i mean the dots

  • 03:25 Severus Snape?

  • @kghj1991 LOL....>___<, anyway, it's a beautiful piece. I do like Rubinstein's interpretation the best.

  • @kghj1991 No, that's the only known photograph of Chopin

  • @josetejeroruiz you mean "no one" instead of "anyone" (that means "cualquiera")

  • how can anybody not like rubinstein (and this piece in preticular)

  • i am crying like a babe, i wish i had the time and the tool to learn it

to play it myself at least once. I really found f Chopin and Rubinstein and had the honor to meet him too long ago.

    Master thanks for your love

  • beautiful piece of music played beautifully...

so soft and sweet that almost swallows the sadness behind the melodies.

  • this piece sounds really nice on classical guitar as well. liona boyd does a great interpretation of it.

  • Dots made me laugh xD

    This interpretation is amazing :)

  • Question: Is this piece, both the composition and pianist, flawless? I can't find an error.

  • you know im 14 years old and i barely started this song three weeks ago, its a very delicate song and requires lots of practice and concentration; the interpretation and the speed in which the melody was played makes me think: '' How can composers play that fast and not get a single mistake?'' really nice and smooth Thumbs up for whoever plays this song and thank you Chopin for giving your knowledge to the world. Any people who say this is dumb or gay has no musical soul. thanks and see you soon

  • did i see a random shot of rachmaninov??

  • @pinkfloyddwc As did I.

  • @pinkfloyddwc Is it me, or does Sergei bear a strong resemblence to Arthur (almost like fraternal twins)?

  • Rubinstein plays this waltz very well, in my opinion. I was not too fond of other people's versions of this song. Some too fast, some too slow, some with strange pacing and rhythm. This is just right.

  • yaay.. i knew he wouldn't disappoint..

people tend to forget this is a waltz and blast through it at lightning speed.. not dancing speed

  • i finished this waltz :) its so funny to play it!

  • Rubinstein is the king in this waltz. So beautiful!!

  • Splendide ! ! !

  • I've heard various versions of this over the past 50 years but I'm not sure I'd heard Rubinstein play it before. When I heard this recording a little while ago, I decided I just HAD to learn it. (I guess for some reason I hadn't realized just how much feeling could be put into it.) It'll take a while to get it smoothed out, but I just played it through for the first time. Even in practice, it's a great piece.

  • This ... is so beautiful.

  • The song of my life !

  • GRAZIE.

  • hello chopin.

    its a very nice song.

Merci.

  • Although Rubinstein and Chopin are gone their music lives on ringing in the modern concert halls, filling the practice rooms of our schools, and even as these romantic composers intended in our homes. Being taught to our children, to be taught to our children's children. You want to change this cancer that is growing in our art? Then learn this music, for God's sake teach it. Pass it on so this beautiful piece of art continues to live on. In our generation. In the future generations.

  • Rubinstein truly loved this waltz. How wonderful it is to make music. As musicians we give the world a gift. Just to express our own inhibitions through beautifully composed pieces like this one. It is a honor to be in the presence of such intimacy and talent. Hear this music in a live setting people!

  • meravigliosa...uno dei pianisti più bravi del mondo.....

  • I love the colors I see when I close my eyes and listen to this piece.

  • Love the ending with the Chopin "Hi!" And the music ain't too bad, either! It is beautiful and makes me weep b/c peeps are capable of such beautiful creations.

  • I was born in the wrong century.

  • @lovellespice Me too x_x

Great thing though is that we can still play this wonderful music.

  • One of my favorite piano waltzes & quite hard to learn with all the staccatto & piano "runs" :-)

But I've been playing this now since I was @ age 7

    Thanks 4 the upload!

  • Des montagnes de maitrise pour un resultat aussi limpide!

  • Bullet for my valentine owns this piece of wank

  • This is a piece that you enjoy, while the hard and tough times in life gradually became easier.

    I love it

  • Rachmaninoff is not bad either...

  • It is just magnificent

  • mmm

  • Rap lasted for 10-20 years before changing to hip hop?

classical music on the other hand will never change and will never die.

  • wow to the people who said this piece is "garbage" and dared to compare chopin with lil wayne: you just totally embarrased yourselves by publicizing your ignorance and low standard in music to the youtube world. I am embarrassed for you of your stupidity. I am not hating on hip hop: it is one of my favorite genre of music. However, I believe that this type of "boring" music is the most sophisticated. Disrespecting classical shows how much class you have.

  • @luvinariza

it takes years of skills to master a piece like this. some people will never understand how sophisticated classical music really is.

Nowadays people can make a beat in a day. But before it took skills and great virtuosic men like Chopin to make such great music.

Only time will tell who's greater. So far classical music is far far ahead.

  • @luvinariza You are a true sophest, thank you for your intelegent insights.......

  • @luvinariza i'd say some of Eminem's lyrics is more sophisticated, but i agree with everything u just said. If a wayne fan came on here it was obviously to trash it. i must say to that person they're at a lost.

  • rubinstein the best ,,,e' un suono allucinabte bello bello ...nn ci saranno mai piu ...cosi come in italia nn avremo mai piu attori come toto',fabrizi ,e defilippi

  • Superb interpretation...

  • for such pieces ( Waltz ) , i was really expecting that Rubinstein was the one to play it , the way i should !

  • best

  • im in love with this one :) make me feel much better :) thank u Shopin :P

  • written wrongly, CHOPIN,, and when pronounced: shop'a' n = )

  • eat this all U "music makers" of today..

    X Factor,Idols creeps!!!

THIS IS THE REAL STUFF MOFUCKS!

  • This is my favorite piece

    thanks alot (dunnededunnedunne)

    long name

    long life :)

  • I think this is a subliminal video

  • I love this song

  • it is not a song, it's a piece! =)

  • @ReginaFarfalla By technical terms, yes if you want to think of it that way. But by the terms of people who play music and like listening to music it's a song. I realize that a song is "a short poem or other set of words set to music or meant to be sung" but if you heard a bird chirping a tune or a melody and a friend said "Oh, that bird is singing" or "what a lovely bird song" (which they probably wouldn't) you wouldn't correct them and say "No it's a piece" would you? (I'mnottryingtofight!)

  • ive been putting off learning this piece for a while now but not anymore. i must make this piece my own. its too beautiful not too

  • ขำนะ..ตาdot

  • best interpretation i've ever heard

  • Wonderful recording! Thank you for sharing this! And I love how the pictures go with the music! Very nice , shows people do care and take time on what they post to make it as elegant as possible! Amazing!

  • Im learning this now :) Love the interpretation, I will use it as an inspiration when I create my own interpretation :)

  • Questa versione,a parer mio, rispecchia maggiormente rispetto alle altre lo stile romantico, a cui chopin apparteneva

  • one of the best interpretations of this piece, in my opinion.

  • i love playing this piece.

  • This waltz is very beautiful and makes me feel nostalgic. ;) I would love to learn how to play this in the near future.

  • @Pixylchaz , it's not difficult at all, therefore I am sure that a person who enjoys listening to this piece will learn to play it in no time :)

  • =} Aw, such kind words. Thank you.

  • thank you!

  • one of my friends played this song at a concert and i loved it from the start!

  • Comment removed

  • strong energy felt ...its beautiful

  • There you go,, the story of the dots..

  • Really "TRBWS"? How can you say that? It makes you sound SO intelligent, among those listening to classical, you suggest "real music" like lil wayne? Find a rap video to leave your comments on. This music is written and performed by geniuses.

  • @doctordrums8 Eh, more or less. I only find a few classical songs superb. I just stumbled on this one after listening to AC/DC all day haha. Relaxing. Now back to Bon Scott and my game of solitaire.
