Ok, really? They changed the names to their english meanings, so when the game was transfered to the U.S., we could properly say and understand their names. For instance, Devil King is Oda Nobunaga. We CAN pronounce that, but others we cant. Such as Scorpio's Japanese name

@pplz223 That's not the reason at all xD. They attempted to remove all elements relating to the Sengoku Period of history, as well as change the storyline up a little bit a make it darker. They did this because they believed the Sengoku Period of history wouldn't be popular or understood here, which they were wrong about, this game was a critical failure here in the US, and no more Sengoku Basara games were released in english until this year's Sengoku Basara 3 Samurai Heroes

You mean Sengoku BASARA? No, unless you have a Japanese PS3. PS3 games are region free, but not PS2 games. So Japanese PS2 games only work on a Japanese PS3 and same for the others.

You can play PS3 games but only PS3 games are region free. The PS2 games aren't, so an NTSC PS3 can play NTSC PS2 games but not PAL or JPN PS2 games.

If you had a Japanese PS3, you could play Sengoku BASARA games because they are JPN games, but you couldn't play any NTSC or PAL games. The same goes for PAL.
