Wild Thing put up a good fight there :) Just a shame for them that hypnodisc clipped one of their wheels, that put them in real trouble there. The front wedge seemed pretty hard to damage as it sustained at least a dozen hits and didn't look too bad afterwards considering the force used by hypnodisc.

Hypnodisc, the best robot. Never won the title because it was also vulnerable to attack. In a way I'm glad because it meant they kept a cult following!

No other robot destroyed others in the way they did.

i agree wild thing always put up a good fight but the lack of a discent weapon always let them down the saw in series 5 looked promising but it was terrible, 6000rpm ! more like 10

The driving skill of Wild Thing team is very good. But unluckily they never have any deadly weapons. Though wild thing lost to PA in S3, to HD in S4, to Chaos2 in S5, to Razer in S6, it remains a competitive robot and they never let their opponent win easily (maybe except S6). Look at its fight with Chaos2, which is really among the greatest fights in RW history.

I agree, but I didn't like the robot they entered in series 7. Wild Thing did always put up a good fight though.

Hypno disc was a great robot but I think they should of made it more powerful. Not the weapon put the pushing power. Like it the behemoth match his weapon was useless and he couldn't push behemoth so he lost but I still think hes one of the best bots on robot wars.

You have to remember the roboteers only have 100kg to play with. That might not sound like a lot but obviously the Rose boys used that weight limit mainly for the weapon.

yeah the disk weapon was really weak, the problem is the robots have to be a certain weight, have to meet safety in the workshop and have other requirements to get in

Notice how they changed all the voicing commentary from the old commentators voice back when series 4 was just getting underway? It pisses me off, the deep, raspy voice of the old commentator should be brought back, fuck Pearces voice.

One of my all-time favourite battles. If Wild Thing had lowered the arm when they had Hypno-Disc up against the wall, they might have trapped it and fed it to the house robots. I think Isabelle Adams was just paralyzed with fright there.

Hey, Wild Thing's a great robot, but I agree about Prizephita. Not only that, but you could say it should have lost to it's first round opponent in series 5 (Trouble & Strife, I think.)

On the other hand, had they lost we wouldn't have had one of the best battles of that war, which was Chaos 2 vs Wild Thing.
