That's the problem with no grain/low carb diets. Carbs don't make you fat. Too much food makes you fat. I tried out Paleo and Berardi. Not because I was overweight but to see what the fuss is about. I never felt as drained and low on energy as on those diets and my body composition didn't change.. I feel best on a good diet with a lot of fruit and veggies, plus whole grains. I ate this diet most of my life with a weight of about 150-155. Whole grains and legumes keep me full a long time.
I wanted to add to my previous post that I do competitive swimming, a lot of bodyweight exercising and was a bike messenger. Try cycling ten hours a day with heavy weight on your back on a low carb diet. Those diets a just a money making scheme. Eat healthy nutrient dense food, including whole grains and legumes and you will NOT gain weight. I've had these discussions in many forums. Most people just try to sell their BS diets but, oh well, each to their own.
Stay positive man! A couple of more months and you'll probably be right as rain and glad that you pushed through it. Stay motivated and shift the perspective!
