just keep ur hand guard up on your chin, and you'd be fine if kicks were flying inside the ring.5/5 for power and stance.3/5 for ur defensive stance.overall 4/5 for the vid.nice combos.
@sdeforest1 Not necessarily, in muay thai you drop the hand that is on the same side that you are kicking with, meanwhile the opposite hand stays up to protect the other side. Dropping the one hand helps create momentum and more power into the kick. It also helps with balance and the rotation of the hip during the kick.
he switches his legs because it's a switch kick, it's the type of kick he's throwing. If he didn't switch, he would be throwing a front leg round house, which is a much weaker kick. The switch kick is to quickly move your lead leg, for an orthodox fighter like him that's his left leg, quickly to the back, switching him into a south paw stance, and allowing him to fire off his left leg like he would fire off a regular round house with his right, thus with a lot more power.
If you watch it is not a switch like you would think. Left foot comes back first and then the right. Its studdered. It builds momentum up and gives kicks above the waist more power. It is actually a harder kick with the skip then without. Try it. Takes awhile but worth it when you get it down.
on 31 seconds, with the left leg kick, i noticed the guy switched so his left leg was behind and kicked from the back leg.
i am curious as to why in MMA you never see kicks flying off the front leg? granted, there may be more power developed from kicking off the back leg but from my experience i have found kicks from the back leg to give you a lot more time to block and counter, while snapping roundhouse and front kicks off the front leg are hard to stop

I might be wrong, but it looks like he's dropping his guard. Can you throw those kicks while keeping your arms at guard?

Awesome! I dont know what the guy below is talking about w/ had speed. There always has to be one guy who thinks they are better.

I would work on more hand speed.
Other than that pretty darn good.

Nice combos!!
It is amazing to see the difference between the Dutch and the Thai Style Muay Thai.
I have noticed the the Thai style usually starts and ends a combo with a kick . The Dutch style usually starts with a few punches and ends in a kick.
I've trained in both and like to mix it up.Anyway nice vis bro!! It reminds me of the time when I was training Tradional Muay Thai.
