Having seen the movie and read the book, I kept my opinions of each separate. I considered them two different story lines, and was therefore able to enjoy each thoroughly. Robert Ludlum wrote a action packed novel, and with the script given, Matt Damon does a great job portraying Jason Bourne.

So, I'm guessing I need to watch these. I'm an action junkie, but never spent 2 seconds on whether to watch these. Don't know why either. But, people say I've been missing out to not see them. So, I'm going to get the trilogy over the Memorial Day weekend and knock 'em out. I hope they're as good as people say. Trailers look decent. @btrago92 No, unfortunately not. Although I just downloaded (from Amazon) a few of the songs from the trailers. It seems a lot of the trailer music comes from Fluke (the songs 'Absurd' and 'Atom Bomb') and there's one from the band Crystal Method (called Weapons of Mad Distortion). It's too bad "the song at 0:40" is not on the Bourne Supremacy soundtrack... I'm determined to find out and I may end up giving a call to someone at Universal or John Powell himself...lol.

Why I disliked this film

1) The camera is shaking profusely as if the cameraman is a monkey with parkinsons. When done in moderation and with the right skill for effect its ok, but when its used for every action scene, every chase its ridiculous.Its almost become an excuse for lazy camerawork.

2) They kill Franka Potente and Gabriel Mann's character .

3) Chris Cooper is uncredited even with its character being a important piece of the story and he's showed him in some strange images here.

@Pudersepp What Greengrass did in The Bourne Supremacy was annoying many times (the fight scene in the house is a bad example of what not to do, you can barely what Jason is doing with the other guy) . The Ultimatum Bourne was way better, the shaky camera really worked and it was very thrilling. Nowadays directors can't even know how to plan a sequence, it is too much manipulation and that result most of the times a weak and boring film.
