Great playing! For the riff at 0:21, you could play the same notes starting at the 7th fret of the low E, which would be basically an extended minor pentatonic box shape. Anyways, keep up the great work!

Yaaay, my favourite Friedman solo ! A little hard to hear your guitar but it's easy to notice that you're really good. Nice vibrato and a generally pleasant feel and timing. Learning stuff by ear is also the right way to go. I think you're great.

i noticed that dave plays it that 1st part higher up on the neck.

i learned to play it by copying him but i just learned your way too and its a little more fun your way.

sounds heavier too.

if you play it as fast as you can and go back and forth between the hi and lo positions it is a crazy warm up exercise.

very good playing. nice left hand technique. Not many whove been playing for such a short time have that nice of a vibrato. Definitely stick with it! I do recommend you check out something less heavy and more melodic to jam to as well. Will help you to become more versitile. Anyway, again... great job!
