@indyracer05 Not if you have a 6 cell or 9 cell battery. If you have the crappy standard 3 cell then yes, battery life is poor.

I love my aspire one!! I love it, and I am so glad I took a chance on this little guy. For those just getting it, forget IE and Firefox, without a doubt Google Chrome will be the best browser on the Acer One. It rocks!!

i think the reviewer is going onto much as if the acer aspire is cutting edge it is at the end of the day a basic computer to surf the web with, so anyone buying this don't expect miracles and there will be crashes, lots of them.

I like how you mentioned the fan control, I have had a lot of trouble with overheating laptops. From what I've heard, with the Aspire One using such a small CPU it hardly ever overheats.

you can hit F11 in any of the major browsers (Internet Explorer, FireFox, Opera) to get full screen mode. it's not exclusive to laptops for anything.

Some comments about the testing: you could play dvd on a amd duron 750 with 256mb of ram so I don't think dvd playing can be considered as giving any valid benchmark, HD is 720p to 1080p 480p is standard definition with progressive scan. For games like star craft i have to point out that i was able to run them on a Pentium 1, still I wouldnt want P1 laptop. If you need to have some work done on this machine like on photoshop dreamweaver and flash i suggest to try the machine out beforehand

You're absolutely right, these things can probably handle photoshop, but rendering anything will probably take you ages, best to wait for the dual-core atoms if you plan on doing any of that. lol all the aspire one fan boys are giving you thumbs down.

The video stream on this ACER unless u set Windows XP to "Classic Mode" then ur fine. I got one of these and it can even handle my DJ mixing softwares like Deckadance, Bison, Mixvibes, and Traktor .
