  • The Nine Tailors is wonderful, my edition has some of the changes printed out, and I've played them on my electronic keyboard to get a sense of what Ms. Sayers was writing about

  • Grabbed these yesterday

  • nice peal of bells. sound like ours.

  • it's actually Lincoln College Library and was the former church of All Saints.

  • I rang here today! the 4 heaviest bells were cast in 1622.

  • It is a very light ring of 8 - about 7cwt. It's Lincoln College.

  • It certainly Kent Treble Bob- the 3 Home touch of 96 Changes. Although nice on Kent, this touch sounds even better on Bristol Surprise.

  • or belfast

  • Nice video! They sound a light ring. Do you know how many bells there are and the weight of the tenor?

  • No -- I just happened to be walking by and had recently read "The Nine Tailors" by Dorothy Sayers, otherwise I probably wouldn't have stopped to take the video.

  • i'm not enough of a good ringer to actually know what theyre ringing, but i can hear that the treble is treble bobbing, so they are ringing a method similar to Kent Treble Bob Major. The heaviest of the bells here is 6 times lighter than the heaviest bell in the 41cwt ring in the book

  • look on the online doves guide.
