Despite what Ali dishes up Noam is completely present. His answers are as big as the or in this case as small as the questions asked of him. I guess in the dedication to truth an knowledge seeking that define Chomsky he may have missed out on popular culture which in any case he says is superficial and of little interest to him. What are the cosequences of not knowing Ali G or the very new and popular prank techniques that ten years ago were unthinkable... I dare say none.

@StGremlin you're absolutley right. many people cohen interviewed as ali g., thought they were talking to an idiot (which would be obvious), without knowing, that he (cohen) is actually pretty smart. so, in a way, chomsky didn't dumb down his ways, nut rather kept explaining his work, as he would with anyone else.

@VNSki I could listen to Chomsky speak all day, but it's purely out of interest in what it is he's saying and in his perspectives and opinions - it's not out of any measure of excitement generated by his manner of speech. You have to admit that Chomsky is far, far, far away from being the most dynamic of speakers.
