  • This one will hurt forever as a PSU fan, if not for that FG the Nittany Lions go to the national championship game that year. Sigh

  • Jerry Sandusky

  • great video. too bad there wasn't hte actual play-by-play versus shitty music.

also echo: can't beat NW to save our ass, but OWN PSU? now if we would just STOP letting OSU win by letting their backs off the mat! but as long as we have KF...we'll never win a NC!

  • amazing that we own Penn State yet we can never been Northwestern!!! Arrrg

  • thank god linkinpark isnt on here, they are horrible!

  • I remember watching this. I didnt care for either team as I live in Missouri but I love upsets (as long as its not my team) and it was awesome watching the final quarter. Great game

  • This was a backbreaker...ruined a perfect season...Fuck Iowa...and everyone there...Hawkeye bitches...WE ARE!!

  • uhh...in the caption....i think that's more than one person xD

  • 1:38 lol what the hell was stanzi thinking??

  • It's bullshit they took off Linkin Park's What I've Done. LP is the best.

  • I don't understand why you would be watching this video if your opinion is that Iowa sucks. Obviously this season was our worst in a while. And correct me if I am wrong, but you just wasted 5 minutes of your life watching something that you knew you wouldn't enjoy.

  • iowa would like creed... makes sense.

  • wow creed is terrible

  • yeah not the best 2010 season but we still got a "W" against a 10th ranked team with a few critical players out due to injuries and drug related charges :)

  • @VikingsOwn18 You suck

  • @MrAdamPacha NO IOWA SUCKS

  • @555mrbucky how'd that work out for ya?

  • Comment removed

  • It all began right here. Iowa vs Penn State. They get ranked after the win, and never look back. The next year, Orange Bowl Victory. This year, looking to do it again!

    GO HAWKS!

  • @warpig362 Actually, Iowa was still (unfairly) unranked after the upset due to only being 6-4 at the time and a loss to Illinois, but the 55-0 slamming of a then 7-4 Minnesota team put Iowa in the top 25. What did Iowa finish that year? Something like 16 or 17? 2009 was a great year for Iowa, I just wish they'd have been able to clean Florida's clocks instead of having to beat up on Georgia Tech. I'm glad Iowa got the program righting win, I just wish it hadn't been at the expense of my Lions.

  • @MVillani1985 Really? Wow o.O Lol well at least they slammed those stupid Gophers lol

  • @warpig362 If I remember right Iowa scored 25 quick points in the first quarter partly from turnovers (safety, field goal, and three touchdowns with one having a missed PAT), then 10 points every quarter after that since Ferentz didn't want to run up the score. Did Minnesota even have a first down in that game? I remember it was Minnie Mouse's last game in the Metrodome. That game was even more impressive than the 47-17 win over a Purdue team in 2006 that finished #5 in conference.

  • @MVillani1985 I think they got one or two. At this point, Iowa has their work cut out for them. When the rest of their games and they go to the Rose Bowl..lol

  • @warpig362 Or, with the way this season is going, possibly even win a national title.

  • In the description "there is ONE person in the way, Ricky Stanzi, Shonn Greene and the Iowa Hawkeyes." That is more than one person...

  • anyway, il miss this game the most i think. il miss playing wisconsin alot too but penn state was always a great game.

  • hey spider. no need to guess anymore you little troll. when iowa kicks nebraska around next year during iowas rebuilding year youl finally know wont ya?

  • Game prediction: PSU will take an early lead just like last year with a quick 7-0 lead, then unlike last year, Iowa ties it up, first quarter all knotted up 7-7, then PSU kicks a FG to take the lead again 10-7. Then it's all Iowa. The Hawkeyes take a 14-10 lead midway through the second. Then the rest of the first half is a turnover-fest. Then Iowa scores two third quarter TDs to make it 28-10 then Iowa backups put it away 35-10. PSU has a chance for a garbage time TD then our QB throws a pick.

  • To the comment below:

    Winners take it in stride.

    Losers make excuses.

Better luck this year when you play us at Kinnick.

Damn, it feels good to be a Hawkeye.

  • @sweetpeagirl1990 I've seen winners make excuses too saying "oh we should have shut them out". And to say that PSU overlooked Iowa in 2008 and paid for it is not an excuse, it's a fact. However, I saw that one coming from a mile a way. Now the 2009 game, you were the better team that night last year. I'd say I take the loss in stride better than some who say "Penn State is the most worthless team in the world". Only thing worse than sore losers are sore winners. Not saying you are but still.

  • @MVillani1985 Now this year's going to be a painful one for PSU, as a Penn State fan I know that. This year's not going to be a good one in any situation, and not only does Iowa find a way to beat PSU, but you'll also be the more talented team, which makes for a double whammy for PSU. I think this year, Iowa beats PSU 35-10. 2010 will certainly be a great year for the Hawkeyes, I expect you guys to contend for the Big Ten title and even the national title. If you beat OSU in Kinnick, it's yours.

  • @sweetpeagirl1990 Wait who won this year? oh yeah penn st

  • this is just another streak like michigan. penn state has been the better team the last 2 seasons that they lost they have just found a way to dominate the whole game and then lose at the end like they have the past 2 seasons. it had been ONE mistake that has broke penn st in the last to seasons. geez i will have a mental breakdown if we dont beat iowa AND michigan this year

  • i was there

  • I was doing cart wheels in my living room when I saw this kick. God I love me some damn hawks ball

  • just like nebraska hire a coach and if they dont will right way can them and look again. You husker fans can talk about playing for a national championship all you want it was almost ten years ago your program is nothing like it use to be. So you can keep singing that tune if you want all you d-bags sound like broken records anyway. You people aint worth fighting with. Good day what ever you are.

  • I hate Nebraska more then i hate ISU. Nebraska fans are the biggest babies in the history of college football they just cant stand that Nebraska is not a top program like they were in the late 90's and early 2000's. And the way they deal is trying to degrade Iowa and ISU when they have no room to talk. GET OF YOUR HIGH HORSES YOU CORN HUSKER FAGGOTS.

  • @00005426895 If Iowa is so good and Nebraska so bad how do you explain the fact that Nebraska has a better win-loss record over the last 11 years than Iowa? That same eleven year period in which Ferentz has been coaching Iowa, the Huskers have gone through three different coaches yet they still won more games than Iowa and lost less games than Iowa! And Nebraska has actually played for a national championship during that period, something Iowa has NEVER done!!! Care to respond? Good luck trying!

  • @spiderdragon1969 Iowa had a rebuilding period with the loss of Hayden Fry. Two really bad season are within that time frame you speak of. You on the other hand have been rebuilding since you got your asses handed to you by Miami. How many BCS bowls has the Mighty Nebraska been to since Miamis bitch slapping of you?

  • @EllaChase The Fuskers also fail to mention that they got stomped by Texas Tech last year, and the previous year(2008) their defense was less than stellar. They'll see just how much of a loss Suh really was. No one is afraid of the Big Rundown Machine anymore, their fans need to understand that.

  • @EllaChase You just proved your ignorance. I saw the stats of the Nebraska-Texas Tech game. Nebraska totally outplayed Texas Tech. The reason Texas Tech won was because of turnovers and penalties on Nebraska's part. Nebraska fumbles and penalties which pinned them back in the shadow of their own end zone gave Texas Tech the ball with a short field to score. Nebraska actually dominated that game but still lost. Next time, read the sports page.

  • @EllaChase Nebraska has had a rebuilding time period following the Bill Callahan debacle but still wins. By the way, in the 11 years that Ferentz has been at Iowa, Nebraska has gone through three coaching changes but has won more games than Iowa and lost less game than Iowa during that period! Shows you what a great football program is all about. Even the bad Nebraska teams have won more games than Iowa's so-called good teams!

  • lol, Murray looks so terrified before the kick. he must wake up every day thinking "thank god i made that damn kick"

  • Now that was a great day. Good to have something to watch during the too long no football time. Kirk just has JoPas number.

  • your actually trying to make an arguement that your team is better, despite never beating any really good teams, losing ot a team that iowa destroyed, and the fact that iowa went to a BCS bowl and not just won, but actually DID dominate an offense everyone knows was great.

i mean, your best win was ARIZONA. and thats not even in Iowa's top three wins of the year. you literally have no arguement. not one. "we played texas really hard" earns you a special ribbon for those super special teams.

  • God dam i love iowa

  • Comment removed

  • To my Hawkeye bretheren, please excuse spidey for his lack of knowledge and his biased views of Neb. football in comparrison to the Hawkeyes. Just another Husker fan who still has the blinders on and will not accept the fact that this isn't the 90's anymore. No matter how much information and statistics you try to prove to him, in his eyes nobody and especially Iowa is as good as Neb. Kinda like talking to Gopher fans who think the 55-0 ass whipping never happened in 08'.

  • Iowa was a very good team that got a lot of lucky breaks, (2 blocked field goals vs UNI, a fifth try at the end zone vs Mich. St, blocked punt against Penn St), whereas Nebraska was a very good team that got a lot of bad breaks, (8 turnovers vs ISU, last second td vs VT, special team meltdown vs Texas). I think Iowa was not as good as their ranking but Nebraska was actually better than their ranking. Nebraska was only 4 points from being 13-1. Iowa can't make that claim.

  • @spiderdragon1969 OK, we can say we were 10 points away from being undefeated. Nebraska can't make that claim. Iowa was a very good team that found a way to win EVEN if they had to block 2 field goals, EVEN if we scored a last play TD AT MSU, EVEN if we had to block a punt AT PSU. EVEN if we had to come from behind to beat Indiana. You see spidey, GOOD teams find ways of winning NO MATTER what. Nebraska couldn't and didn't. Example, VT-Should have but DIDN'T! Y

  • @spiderdragon1969 If you watched the Penn St. game which I can probably suspect you didn't, you would have seen that it wasn't JUST a blocked punt that won the game for us. We pressured the hell out of Darryl Clark after his first and only TD of the game. After that he was running for his life! Coughed up a fumble in the end zone for a safety and threw at least 2 picks. Royster fumbled the ball and we recovered. We recovered from a 1st quarter meltdown to dominating the rest of the game.

  • @pookers2000 exactly

  • @spiderdragon1969 and Iowa was only 12 points away from being 13-0, but we got over it and accepted our losses. now us Iowa fans are waiting for another great season next year

  • @spiderdragon1969 i meant 10 points away from being undefeated

  • you are ignorant...there were no "bad breaks" during the loss to ISU, just TERRIBLE PLAYS...NO TEAM losses to iowa state and then claims they deserve a better rank. NICE TRY THO

P.S...that iowa team worked iowa state with no problems

  • @tpier596 I totally agree!

  • That Iowa team never gave ISU eight extra possessions. I never said Nebraska deserved a higher ranking after the loss to ISU. I said ISU won that game because of the 8 Nebraska turnovers. The Huskers totally dominated that game but because they gave the ball away 8 times, the Cyclones won. Sometimes a shitty team can get just enough breaks via turnovers or penalties to pull off an upset. All of college football knows the ISU win was lucky and a total fluke.

  • @spiderdragon1969 Try telling ISU it was a fluke! This is the most accurate post yet spidey that you have posted! Anything can be written on paper on "who" is better or "who" should win, but that is why they play the game. I must say that 8 turnovers in a game is very rare and Neb. was lucky to have only lost by 3 points. Sometimes you can overcome turnovers like Iowa did when Stanzi threw 5 picks against Indiana and pull off the win. Not pretty but a win is a win!

  • Actually, Nebraska only lost by two points and that's why watching that game was so frustrating because a field goal for Nebraska wins the game. And four times in the red zone, Nebraska fumbled the ball away. Two times on the goal line. But paybacks are hell. Nebraska rolls into Ames this fall and this time the outcome will be totally different!

  • @spiderdragon1969 HA i hate ISU but i bet ISU beats Nebraska again. Talk about struggling with UNI they are a hell of a football team. They could beat Nebraska and didnt your mighty defense give up 40 points to ball state. Talk about a joke Nebraska is going down the tubes and you husker fans are just mad that Iowa is much better then the Huskers.

  • @00005426895 They never played Ball State, moron! Shows how ignorant you are!! Didn't Iowa get beat by Northwestern? What's up with that? And din't they almost lose to Minnesota, Indiana, Arizona and UNI? Can you say OVERRATED? By the way, if you wanna see an all out ass whuppin, sit back and watch what Nebraska does to Iowa State this coming season!!

  • @00005426895 I don't know about Ball State, but Texas Tech dropped 70-plus points on them and Missouri took them to the wood shed in their own house and put 50 plus on them. No one's put that many points on Iowa in their own place. You cant talk sensibly to spidey. He is the stereo-typical Neb. fan that wev'e all learn to hate for so long!

  • @pookers2000 Ya he claims that the huskers never played ball state. Do you really think that he is a closet hawkeye fan. I have watched tons of hawkeye videos on you tube and he always comments about us. what an idiot

  • @00005426895 Geez, I haven't heard anything from spidey for awhile, but just remember that he is like a Jehova Witness and no matter what you try to tell him, he just won't rationalize and he lives in the past. Best thing to do, is to remind him of the Callahan-Peterson days and he pretty much has little to say. He thinks that Tom Osborne and the glory days of the Hickhuskers are back. He's burned too much wacky-tobbacky!

  • this is easily the best game ive ever watched in person! i only went to 2 games that year! looks like i picked the right ones! the other one was VS. Purdue which also came down to a last sec play by purdue but failed! lol

  • Spidey- Talking about statistics, I don't care if Neb. was ranked 1st in every defensive statistical category, apparently your number 3 defense didn't stop you from losing the games that you did lose! It all equates to wins vs. losses! Yeah, we lost to Ohio St. and Northwestern, but we still ended up in a BCS bowl and WON. You played in a low tier bowl and overachieved! Geez, your "throttling" defense really shut down Texas Tech and Iowa St didn't it? Again, where was Iowa ranked at the end?

  • Nebraska finished second in the Big 12. Just like Iowa finished second in it's conference. Difference is that the Big 12 has a contract with the Holiday Bowl where that bowl gets the second place team. Iowa went to a BCS bowl game because they had 10 wins, didn't have to play in a conference championship game and two higher ranked teams all lost in their conference title games at the end of the year while Iowa sat at home which allowed the last BCS at large bid to fall into Iowa's lap.

  • I'm not talking about ancient history here dude, I'm talking about the last 5 or six years when the great Callahan ran the program. It was my favorite era of Neb. football! You guys were wrong to fire your AD Peterson! He tried to change the culture around there to modernize things but you guys had to screw it up and fire him! Thanks Alot!

  • i wouldnt call iowa the top dog, they werent top of there conference even, top three for sure, top two is arguable but ohio state owned the big ten this decade.

but iowa was head and shoulders above nebraska.

but hey, nebraska has a chance to come to the big ten and put up or shut up. if real schools like notre dame or texas say no we will be glad to settle for nebraska, we may even take you ahead of missouri or pitt if your really nice.

  • i basically meant Iowa was top dog over nebraska cuz Iowa is just better

  • When has Iowa EVER been better than Nebraska? That can only be determined by playing each other. Iowa beat Nebraska in 1981 but we're not supposed to bring up the past, remember? Only the last few years because Iowa has been very good the last few years. Going back 10 or 20 years isn't allowed, according to Iowa fans, because it will show how weak Iowa was and how great Nebraska was. But Iowa fans only want the last few years debated so they look good.

  • @spiderdragon1969 no we don't wanna talk about the past cuz its VERY old news. We wanna talk about the present times

  • Spider u lost to a lousy ISU team. A team Iowa crushed@ isu. Guess what? U dont have Suh next year. Guess what? Iowa beat Arizona. Guess what? You didnt play in a January bowl. Guess what? You play in weak conference with only 1 good team. Guess what? Iowa played with many injuries including a QB, THREE RBs, A WR

So live in the past cause thats all u have.

  • yup u pretty much told that cornsuckin hick from nebraska whats up haha. Spiderdragon is pretty much an idiot. Nebraska sucks. GO HAWKS!!!!

  • Suh wasn't the whole defense. Nebraska dominated Arizona. Iowa did not. Nebraska dominated Arkansas State. Iowa did not. Nebraska lost their starting running back for the entire season and twice started a true freshman at qb and WON both games. Vandenberg choked and lost 2 games. The Big 12's second place team automatically gets the Holiday Bowl. Iowa also finished second. So what's your point? ISU got 8 turnovers. They didn't beat Nebraska. Nebraska beat themselves. Next caller.

  • @spiderdragon1969 Iowa State and Texas Tech! I don't recall ANYONE putting up 70+ points on Iowa and I think Missouri put at least 55 on them. Like I said before, since you have trouble comprehending anything me or any other logical Hawk fan tries to point out to you, you can scrutinize us and talk about the past. Point is, BCS victory, and a number 7 ranking! Where did Neb. end up again...?

  • Under Callahan teams put up a lot of points. I can't debate that. His defenses sucked. But we're not supposed to bring up the past, remember? Only the here and now. That means we should mention that Nebraska was in the top 3 in nearly every defensive category this past season.. Where was Iowa? Nebraska throttled high powered offenses all year. How did Iowa's defense do against Ohio State and lowly Northwestern? Only the here and now. No more ancient history, remember?

  • @spiderdragon1969 Iowa was right behind Nebraska with the defensive standings, big deal

  • @spiderdragon, okay u played in the HOLLIDAY BOWL. No one gave these "plowboys" a chance to stop GTs speed. With the exception of 1 drive, Iowa dominated GT. A team that didnt punt in the ACC championship.

  • Oh let us guess here spidey, Georgia Tech's triple option offense is inferior to Hickhusker offenses of the 90's right? Quit living in the past dude. You keep bringing up shit we already know about. Nebraska was good in the 90's and they AREN'T NOW! You need to provide "evidence" that Neb. tried to get a home and home series with Iowa. I never recall this happening I think your'e full of it! Like I said before, go back and look at old school Neb. videos and go pat yourself on the back!

  • all the damn nebraska fans are always like that. It is sooo retarded. Nebraska is not back. Iowa is the more dominant team. Go suck some corn back in Nebraska with your little hick buddies spiderdragon.

  • @HawkeyeNation1 -Dude- I live in Sioux City where there's an overabundance of Neb. fans who are just like spider so the crazy stuff he's been spewing out is nothing new. Believe it or not, there are some open minded Neb. fans who are realists and know that this isn't 90's Husker football anymore and realize that they aren't what they once were. Hell, some were rooting crazy for us during the Orange bowl over in South Sioux City, Ne. bars. They aren't all bad, but trolls still exist!

  • yeah that is true man. i know alot of cool husker fans, but damn when i encounter those dumbass hick huskers it pisses me off cuz they aint living in reality haha

  • Spiderdragon gives Husker fans a bad rep. Why in the world would he come on this year when Iowa wins a BCS game and talk smack? haha

  • that pass interferance at the end of the game against scirotto was some bull and that bad call lost the game for penn state

  • Bad call? Man you have a career as a comedian alas we laugh AT YOU, not with you. Ol Scrotum cannot run THROUGH a receiver and practically mug him to try to catch a ball.

  • You know the defender has a right to go for the ball but he cant go through the wide out to get it......douche bag

  • Join the Big Ten and we would play every year i would love that. You won't have to worry about playing Iowa State

  • Bring on the Huskers better yet join the Big Ten. I would love to play Nebraska every year

  • maybe ur team should play easier schools then u would make it to the bcs games

  • Spider holliday bowl isnt good.....

  • Iowa is in the orange bowl baby i think they could have beat ohio if they didnt go into fucking over time they showed what they can do in the last minute of a game why not do it again?

  • 24NKinnick and hwkwrestler know wats going on... this spider guy is a fag... he keeps dissin a 10-2 team.... that made it to the Orange Bowl!!!.. Luck or skill?.. SKILL!

  • haha i know, leave it to a husker fan to lack in the department of knowledge

  • damn straight. I don't know why, but just about every husker fan says, "OH YEAH BIG RED IS BACK" or some stupid shit like that. Now they are braggin about their 33-0 win against Arizona in the Toilet Bowl. Nebraska ain't got shit against Iowa. They have been suckin on corn too long over there in Nebraska haha

  • By the way, the last two times Nebraska played Iowa, the Huskers kicked Iowa's ass!! 42-7 and 42-13! How ya' like that?! If Iowa is so good why won't they schedule Nebraska? Pelini called Iowa's athletic director a year ago to try to set up a home and home series. Iowa won't return the call!!! I guess Iowa wants to play 1AA Northern Iowa!

  • uhh thats the whole point i was putting down. Nebraska beat Iowa like 11 years ago BIG DEAL!!!. its in the past. And actually its kinda the other way around. Every single year The University of Iowa comes to Nebraska and asks the there athletic director to play Iowa in a non conference football game, but every time Nebraska refuses. I don't know why Nebraska says no, but just about every Iowa and Nebraska fan wants a matchup between the teams

  • Iowa does NOT ask Nebraska to schedule a home and home. I am a member of just about every Nebraska football web site and I can tell you that Pelini and Osborne have called Iowa to schedule a home and home and Iowa will not return the call. Nice try. Next caller.

  • Your a member of almost every husker web site. All I gotta say is YOU ARE REALLY LAME. but then i don't blame you for that cuz there probably isn't much else to do in Nebraska except brag about a team that has lost all of its talent.

  • @spiderdragon1969 yeah but look at tcu boise st and cincinnati, and your the one who said that iowa would be shredded by georgia techs triple option

  • @janitorsdisease Yeah dude, we were supposed to be beaten at Penn St. too with the white-out crowd and they were a top-ten team but we still won on the road. Spidey can't tell you the last time when Neb. actually beat a top-ten team. Oh yeah cuz THEY HAVEN'T!! Just mention to him their home game with the Cyclowns and watch the BS he starts whining about! Didn't you know that they BEAT Texas no matter what the scoreboard showed?

  • @pookers2000 yeah i mean we could whine about losing to northwestern and ohio state, i mean we could say that that, but we lost no matter whats on paper, exactly how nebraska lost to iowa st. he also said we would be embarrassed by the triple option of georgia tech and now hes saying they were the worst bcs team!

  • @spiderdragon1969 And your point is.....? This is 2010 spidey and yes we all know that Iowa lost to the HickHuskers during Kirk Ferentz first two seasons. But hear this... You went to WHAT bowl THIS past season? Which team played in a BCS bowl and won and WHO went to a non-relevant bowl? Who finished number 7 in the final polls and where did Neb. finish? This is TODAY buddy! Live in today!

  • Point well made however, let's look at Ferentz vs Pelini. Ferentz has had 11 years to recruit and build his program. Pelini has had 2. Pelini is still stuck with Callahan's players who were recruited to run the west coast offense yet he's won 19 games his first 2 years and both bowl games. Give the guy a few years to get HIS recruits in HIS system. What did Ferentz accomplish his first 2 years? NOTHING! Iowa fans were ready to run Ferentz out of town.

  • Both Nebraska and Iowa finished second in their conferences. But Nebraska had to play an extra game against a team that played for the National Championship. Iowa sat at home and watched 3 highly ranked teams lose and as a result received a BCS at large bid. Had any one of those 3 teams won, Iowa doesn't go to the Orange Bowl. Two of the 3 lost while playing an extra game. The Holiday Bowl invite goes to the #2 team in the Big 12. Nebraska had no control over that.

  • Iowa 35

    Iowa St. 3

    *game played at Iowa State

    Iowa St. 9

    Nebraska 7

    *game played at Nebraska

    ...ouch

    Enjoy the Holiday Bowl.

  • 8 turnovers! That explains the Nebraska loss. But try explaining just why Iowa had to come from behind in 9 out 12 games this year against the likes of Indiana, Michigan, Wisconsin, Michigan St. and 1AA UNI!! Good luck trying to stop Goergia Tech's spread option. The last time you saw an option team it was Nebraska several years ago and the Huskers shredded the Hawkeyes in back to back years, 42-7 and 42-13!!

  • So what? You make excuses for a loss? Man up. Nebraska lost period. You don't see Iowa fans making excuses for losing, yet you howl like a stuck pig "oh, we had eight turnovers!" wah!

  • That's where you are wrong. Iowa fans have been whining about Stanzi's injury costing them an undefeated season!! Injuries and turnovers can cost a team a game. Nebraska totally dominated Iowa State yet lost due to 8 turnovers. Iowa lost to Northwestern due to Stanzi's injury. The difference is that Nebraska dominated Iowa State, whereas Iowa struggled with Northwestern. Iowa struggled all year long with lesser competition. Iowa is a ten win mediocre team that will get destroyed by Georgia Tech!

  • The difference is that Iowa won against the Cyclones and Nebraska LOST. I don't give a flying fluck if there eight turnovers or zero. Nebraska still lost to a mediocre team. Yet you still howl like a stuck pig about it. Deal with it. You'll sleep better.

  • Ya' wanna' know how many points Iowa State got out of 8 extra possessions? Three! That's how dominated they were. Yet, Nebraska's pathetic offense couldn't generate anything. You are right. A loss is a loss. But just like Iowa fans say that Iowa would have beaten Northwestern and Ohio State had Stanzi not gotten hurt, us Nebraska fans say we would have destroyed Iowa State if only half of those turnovers had not happened. Some losses are misleading.

  • That may be, but even without Stanzi the Hawks SHOULD have beat Ohio State. For that loss I truly lay the blame on Kirk's shoulders. He played it too conservatively and should have opened it up on Ohio State in that last posession.

  • Oh yeah we totally got destroyed by Georgia Tech and the number one rushing offense in the nation. We pretty much dominated them buddy.

    Iowa 24 GT 14.

  • Winning by ten points on a late fourth quarter touchdown is not "dominating them!"

  • Iowa held GT to 0 passing yards the whole 1st half. And Iowa also held GT to less than 50 rushing yards in the first half. Did I mention that GT has the #2 rushing offense in the nation. By the end of the game Iowa had a total 403 yards and GT had 155, which is the lowest yards in a game GT has been held in their whole season.

  • Iowa was up 14 to 0 in the first quarter. Every time GT tried to run their very unstoppable triple option, Iowa's defense shut them down.

Iowa's first downs 21- GT first downs 9

Iowa total yards 403- GT total yards 155

Iowa passing yards 231- GT passing yards 12

Iowa rushing yards 172- GT rushing yards 143

Iowa forced turnovers 2- GT forced turnovers 1

    Iowa kinda dominated them dude

  • Final score:

    Iowa 24

    Georgia Tech 14

That was only because Iowa scored a late fourth quarter touchdown to win by a whopping ten points. NOT DOMINATING! When Iowa actually gets around to dominating a team other than a pre conference patsy, let me know!

  • @spiderdragon1969 Oh I would definitely say holding the second ranked offensive team in the country to nearly under half their offensive yardage they averaged is pretty dominating! Shit we even spotted them a touchdown and they couldn't put more points up. Hell spidey, I'll even say with the utmost assurance since you love to live in the past, that our D this year would have shut down the great Neb. offenses of the 90's which included Tommie Frazier and Eric Crouch!

  • Now you're just being stupid!! If Florida's quick and talented defense couldn't contain Nebraska's offense then I'm pretty confident that Iowa's big, slow plowboys wouldn't stand a chance. I mean...Tommy Frazier, Ahman Green, Lawrence Phillips, Eric Crouch. Come on, man. Give me a break!

  • now once again you are talking about the 90's. All of those guys are long gone from Nebraska. Its 2010 now not 1999. Nebraska was good bad in the 90's and I will give you that, but now Iowa is the top dog

  • Iowa is the top dog where? They couldn't even win their conference! They ended up in second, just like Nebraska did in the Big 12! But Nebraska lost to a team that played for the national championship. Iowa didn't. Nice try. Next caller.

  • dude the big 12 sucked dick this year. good job for nebraska getting 2nd place in their sucky conference. and stop sayin that next caller shit, its pretty gay

  • Once again the Big 12 had a team in the national championship game. Where was the Big Ten's team? And you say the Big 12 sucked. Top to bottom I'd say the Big 12 had better teams than the Big 10. The Big Ten had 3 very good teams. The Big 12 had 2. But it's the rest of the Big 12 conference that would dismantle the Big 10. Oklahoma, Oky State, Mizzou, Texas Tech would all beat Purdue, Indiana, Northwestern, Illinois.

  • @spiderdragon1969 Well I can tell you right now, your'e never gonna know who's gonna beat who unless the teams play conf. vs. conf. NEVER gonna happen! Of course your'e gonna think the Big 12 is better. But it doesn't matter what the rest of the conference does, it's what YOUR team does! I don't recall, 2 Big 12 teams in the BCS posting victories, do you?

  • @spiderdragon1969 dude every single team in the Big 12 pretty much sucked including Nebraska. except Texas which was pretty overrated. Yes Nebraska finished the season well but they played pretty shitty Big 12 north teams. Iowa on the other hand had one of the toughest schedules in the country as said on ESPN and they finished 11-2 and #7 in the nation

  • @spiderdragon1969 Eric Crouch was NOT a legitimate Heisman Representative! Tommy Frazier had a wonderful QB career in the NFL. WOW! Isn't Lawrence Phillips a poster face for Batterers Anonymous? Point being, our vaunted D would have neutralized the boring triple option of 90's Nebraska football just as we did with GT and just as they found out, you stop the run, you stop the option. Point said, now go home!

  • Well I guess you are one of a very few who think Crouch wasn't the Heisman winner. The majority of voters thought he was. Phillips was a jerk. I'll admit that. A total ass of a human being. If Florida, Miami, Florida State and Oklahoma all lost to Nebraska over the years, what makes you think Iowa could magically stop the option of the '94-'95and '97 National Champs? Nobody could stop it. Iowa would have gotten their doors blown off. Georgia Tech aint no '94-'95-'97 Husker team!! Far from it!

  • @spiderdragon1969 I would say that GT is far more superior than those overhyped non-deserving Huskers of the 90's! Nesbitt was better than Frazier and there wasn't a Neb. reciever who was a talented than GT's Thomas. You can keep thinking what-if Spidey, but Neb. played in an inferior bowl this year, over achieved against a Texas team that would have gotten spanked by GT!

  • STOP talkin bout the 90's man. That is old ass news man

  • You are quite possible the biggest dumbshit in the world spiderfaggot. I wouldn't say you dominated a game if you had 8 turnovers in it. I'd say you suck and blew it. Just like you blew it against texas. And who cares if Iowa had to come from behind to win? They still won didn't they? I wish Iowa played nebraska every year. So you can all kiss our cornfed ass. By the way, what happened in the orange bowl? Did Iowa domiante what was supposed to be a superior ACC team? Yes. Yes they did.

  • Go back and look at the tape of the game between Iowa State and Nebraska. The Huskers pushed the Cyclones all over the field. The Cyclones won because they were given eight extra possessions, which they turned into one lousy field goal. Nebraska did dominate that game. The turnovers cost them that game. Now do you understand?

  • @spiderdragon1969 I understand that whatever Nebraska did that day on their home field ended up as a Nebraska loss! Statistics aren't pretty unless your team wins and the END result was a loss! Pushing those hapless Cyclones "all over the field" was meaningless. Plain and simple, the Cyclones won because they capitalized on Cornhusker mistakes and the one "lousy' field was enough for them to win. "Moral" victories don't count! Now do YOU understand?

  • dude yeah we had to come back in a lot of our games. but WE WON. unlike you in the ISU vs Nebraska game. Hell we even came back from having 5 turnovers against Indiana and still won 42-24. And why don't you stop talking about your little wins way back in the 90's. Its the year 2010 now stop making excuses and get with the times.

  • Three national championships in the '90's are not "little wins!" When's the last time Iowa won a national championship? Have they ever played for one? At least us Husker fans have a past to brag about! The only thing Iowa fans can look back on are Hayden Fry's years when HE NEVER WON A NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP! And neither has Ferentz!!

  • Iowa won 3 national championships in 1921, 1922, and with 1939 "Ironmen" back when they voted who was the best team in the nation and didn't play a title game. In 1959 Iowa won the Rose Bowl and the National Championship. So technically Iowa has won 4 National Championships

  • Now we're bringing up 1921? Give me a break! I get chewed out for bringing up the 1990's and you're bringing up 1921, a year when the players wore leather helmets! Ha What a joke!

  • well you did ask when we won national championships so I told you. but you on the other hand keep bringing up the huskers in the 90's which nobody cares about anymore cuz its in the past.

  • If you want to compare common opponents. Let's see, Nebraska destroyed Arkansas State 55-0 while Iowa struggled against them. Want to explain that? Iowa had to come from behind to beat Arizona. Watch the Holiday Bowl and see the Huskers piss pound Arizona!!

  • Well actually It was 38-9. NU over ARKST.

Iowa still won...thats one game that was not pretty..

  • We have compared common opponents. Iowa dominated Iowa State and WON. Nebraska (as you say) dominated Iowa State and lost. Period. Who cares that Iowa struggled against Arkansas State, they STILL WON and isn't that the name of the game? Your logic is flawed and your head's in the sand.

  • But our two teams are not equal. Iowa has an established coach with an established program who has brought in eleven recruiting classes. Nebraska has a 2 year coach who has brought in one recruiting class and is stuck starting Callahn's players. Yet Pelini won 9 last year and already has won 9 this year. What did Ferentz accomplish his first 2 years? Iowa wanted to run Ferentz out of town! Give Pelini some time to establish his program. Comparing Nebraska to Iowa is an apples and oranges deal.

  • Spider, who's asking to run Pelini out of town? I'm not. And I wasn't one who was on Captain Kirk's back either. I knew he would continue the winning tradition that Coach Fry established.

  • I never said anyone is asking Pelini to leave. I said Iowa wanted to run Ferentz out of town his first two years. I was trying to make the point that people need to give Pelini time to get his recruits into the system. He's actually accomplished a lot with the previous coach's players. More than what Ferentz accomplished in his first two years. Give Pelini eleven years like Ferentz and see how many wins he has! Maybe a national title or two.

  • @spiderdragon1969 FUCK YOU FERENTZ IS GOD

  • A god that makes 3.5 million a year for 11 years and has never even played for a national title. Check out Ferentz's win-loss record. You'll notice his teams are only as good as his recruits. That tells you he's not a great coach. A great coach will win no matter what the talent level. Google Tom Osborne for an example!! Eleven years and never even played for a title. That's a god? You Iowa fans must have very low expectations. Ferentz. What a joke!!

  • @partyano2111 Jesus is lord and he conquered the grave. Maybe you should get your priorities in order. Oh maybe you also think Barack Hussein Obama is the annointed one. Maybe you should wake up.

  • @partyano2111 Jesus is lord and he conquered the grave. Maybe you should get your priorities in order. Oh maybe you also think Barack Hussein Obama is the annointed one. Maybe you should wake up.

  • Ok.. we will just see how Iowa does against GA Tech..

  • hey spiderdragon u actually think they are lucky.... hows going into ohio and almost beating them with a freshman qb.. and beating penn state for the second straight year.. they will put up a fight against any SEC team

  • Iowa beat a pathetic Minnesota team by only scoring 12 points, AT HOME! Iowa punted the ball 9 times and only had 12 first downs. And Iowa fans think the Hawks are a BCS team? What a fucking joke! I hope Iowa does make it to a BCS bowl game so a team like Alabama or Florida or Georgia Tech can totally destroy them on national television. Iowa is the luckiest team in the nation and they think they're better than what they really are. NOT!

  • lol you fkin moron they ran a very basic vanilla offense in that game because the coaches were smart and they didnt put their young inexperienced qb in a position to make a ton of mistakes that would cost them the game. they put the game in the hands of their all everything defense and they took care of business as usual. why dont you go listen to your shitty hair metal bands if you hate iowa so much. i dont get why you feel the need to continue this you obviously have an inferiority complex

  • Bottom line-Iowa's backup qb didn't deliver. Iowa lost two games. Too bad. So sad. Here's hoping the BCS still thinks Iowa is a top ten team and they put Iowa in a BCS bowl game against Florida or Cincinnati or Georgia Tech where Iowa will get totally embarrassed. The rest of the country doesn't play the "3 yards and a cloud of dust' style of football that the Big 10 plays. Iowa is in for a rude awakening!!

  • you obviously dont know much about football so its no point continuing this charade. go listen to your cinderella or whatever other kind of androgynous music that you dress up to.

  • go get a life and quit commenting on all of iowas videos...are you jealous that iowa made a BCS bowl? Jealous that Iowa beat Iowa State? lets talk it out sunshine

  • Iowa received a BCS bowl invite because of 3 things. 1-They have 10 wins. But 3 of those came in their pre conference, including 1AA UNI. Only one quality win, Penn St. 2-Iowa doesn't play a conference championship game while other do. That's one less chance to lose the final game. 3- Three higher ranked teams, Pitt, Georgia Tech and Oky St. lost, thus ensuring Iowa a BCS at large bid. Iowa is clearly the weakest of all the BCS teams. And Georgia Tech will prove that!

  • Because of 3 things? ok i listen

"1-They hve 10 wins." Yes you're actually right for once there. Who cares that 3 wins came pre conference. Iowa played UNI, Arizona (Bowl Bound vs NEB.) ISU. (BOWL BOUND) Nebraskas first 4 Games: Florida Atlantic, Ark St. Virginia Tech (they lost obviously) and Louisiana Lafayette.

  • All big time schools play a cup cake pre conference schedule. The difference between Iowa and Nebraska is that Nebraska went on the road to Virginia Tech. They've played USC and have Washington, UCLA and Miami of Florida coming up. Iowa stayed home and didn't leave the state of Iowa until the 6th game of the year. And Nebraska doesn't play any 1AA schools!!

  • Not All. Iowa's wasnt a CUPCAKE. but it wasnt brutal. 2 teams that are in bowls. (Arizona who is in the same bowl as NEB, and ISU who beat NEB) and 2 bad teams.

Nebraska on the other had played a very tough VT team. They lost. Lets look harder at there wins. Florida Atlantic, Ark. St. Louisiana Lafayette. Thats the most pathetic Non-Conference Schedule ive ever seen. Fuck UNI could beat Louisiana Laffayette. Idc that NEB Playstell me who they beat.

  • Idc that NEB Played USC. They lost. NEB never wins any big non-confernce games. NEB will lose to Washington Jake Locker will smack The Suh-less Defence. The U, Will smack NEB also.

Do you see what im getting at? idc who you play, tell me who you beat.

  • Let's see how next year plays out! By the way, even though Nebraska hasn't had a signature win against a highly ranked team in years, they play in either THE toughest conference or the 2nd toughest conference every year. The Big 12 and the SEC are either #1 or #2 each year. The Big Ten? Not even close. Nebraska is getting close to upsetting someone. Remember, Pelini is still starting Callahan's players. He's only been there 2 years. His recruits are mostly red shirted.

  • Nebraska Didnt even play Texas this year, for starters. Wisconsin Beat the U, PSU BEAT the 'amazing' LSU tigers. As of this second. Ohio state is beating Oregon. If iowa wins, that will be 3 wins vs the top 10 for the big 10.

  • Apparently you don't follow college football very close Mr. Hawkeye fan. There was a game on national television three weeks ago where Texas kicked a last second field goal to beat Nebraska, 13-12 in the Big 12 Championship game. You just lost all credibility by not even knowing that that game was played.

  • HAH. I ment in the regular season. I know they played idiot. I say Nebraska Choke. Nebraska hasnt beaten anyone GOOD in along while. I give facts. You live a dream world, you're the one that lacks credibility.

    IOWA>NEBRASKA. Plain and simple.

  • Nebraska hasn't beaten a top ten ranked team in a long time. This is true. I admit that it's very frustrating to watch my Huskers outplay highly ranked teams only to see them do something stupid in the fourth quarter and lose. But the future looks great for the Huskers. We have a tremendous young coach. We have 10 starters returning on offense, six on defense and loads of red shirted recruits that will bring Nebraska many wins over highly ranked teams the next few years. THE HUSKERS ARE BACK!

  • Exactly. NEB dosent beat anyone. The year in review for NEB. Good Wins...OU, and Arizona? No one cares that NEB outplays teams. Its all about them W's.

BTW I wouldnt want anyone on NEBs offence to be back, they were number 97 this year. They suck. The SUHless Huskers will still be CLUEless against top 10 teams.

Next Year Iowa will beat a top 10 team for the 3rd year in a row against Ohio State.

THE BIG10 IS BACK OHIO STATE, PENN STATE, AND IOWA.

  • By the way, Coach Bo Pelini and Athletic Director Tom Osborne called Iowa last year to see if they'd like to start up a home and home series, possibly longer than just two games, and Ferentz has not returned the calls. Looks like your Hawkeyes see that a sleeping giant called Nebraska Football has awoken and Iowa has chickened out and doesn't want to play them. So much for Iowa being better than Nebraska. I guess Iowa would rather play 1AA Northern Iowa. Tell your Hawks to man up and play us!!

  • You are so right. I must be afraid. No no no wait a second. Iowa already has alot of teams to play in the future. They have future dates with Florida International. Pitt. Arizona, And of course Iowa State. They already have a line of teams that would love to play Iowa. As much as i would love to play NEB. I would rather play such teams such as BOSIE, TCU, or an SEC team. Iowa already piss pounds a Big12 team they dont need to do it twice.
