[03 Tib GT SE] My clutch/tranny is fucked. My half shafts/control arms are fucked. My front bumper is fucked. It's fast as fuck. My interior is almost perfect, and it sounds good as fuck. But I'm a Junior in high school. So basically I'm fucked as fuck.

To take care of the confusion, Tiburons 97-99 were called Tiburons here in the states and in Korea, Tiburons late 99-01 were called Turbulences in Korea, still a Tiburon here State side, There was no 02 Tiburon so in 03-06 the next state side Tiburon was built and in Korea was called a Tuscani!

Nothing to do with Australia, Or a specail model, simple state side we dont call them by there Korean designator, here in the same order there the RD Model RD2, and the GK, also the newest the FL's.

Stock is 172, with my mods, I'm probably sitting somewhere around 200 or so.

@IronEddie042 It's prob more like 190, if you get some headers you may be looking at 200 give or take 5 hp. To the wheels im guessing your putting down 160.

Well, unfortunately, you're wrong - I imported the Australian T badges that say Tiburon, not Tuscani - that's why I still have all of the Tiburon badges still on there.

I think you need to hit Dyno I know for fact you will lose power/TQ with an aftermarket exhaust. You would need AM camshafts in order to benefit from an exhaust upgrade I know this because of dyno results.

I 100% agree with you it should increase HP although the car is tuned perfectly with the manufactures exhaust It will sound much better but if you were to Dyno your car(which you should) you would be surprised to find the car has lost HP/TQ (not much) but still apparently the Hyundai guy I talked to said you would need to upgrade your cams to see a real benefit from exhaust I also do not understand why to be honest. I own a 03 Tib GT my 300zx incresed a huge 50HP the tib is a strange car .

wtf, he probably just wanted you to buy another oem exhaust so he could get a commission off it. i find that hard to believe too, stock exhaust on the tib is horrible.

@ae92rolla If he had put on and exhaust ONLY than you are right, he would lose the back pressure his car needs and would lose hp. but since it was coupled with an intake, the extra air let into the chamber off-sets the larger exhaust. keeping the back pressure where it needs to be while giving the engine a better cool air intake and getting better combustion.

Also, my car sounds a lot like that. It was more high pitched (like a chain saw) when I just got it. kind of missed that. Made it unique.

My tibby does not go up to 130 though. (not quite certain.) The highest is like 110 then the rev limiter kicks in.

Yeah - I've got an AEM CAI in mine and the exhaust system ... the borla's pretty nice, a little too quiet if you ask me though.

Mine has 133,000 on it right now - still going strong. So far I've only had a clutch replacement and suspension work done.

Our stock clutch and flywheel suck, but I wouldn't like to be you if you raced my Tib. I have injen intake/exhaust and DC Sports headers, stg 4 clutchmasters Clutch with fidanza FW and after my motor mounts I'm putting an MP62 blower in. I'd like to see you talk smack about a 12 second FWD car, not to mention our 11 second guys and soon to be 10 seconds. Just because you smoked some ricer kid in a 4 cyl don't talk smack.

I imported it from Australia, it says "Tiburon" around the bottom of it - there are ones you can get off of ebay or newtiburon(dot)com or kdmstuff(dot)com for pretty cheap, but they say "Tuscani" around the bottom (that's what the Tiburons are called in the Korean market).

Are they fast? They are fast enough - there's plenty of other cars that are faster though - it's pretty good on gas, I'd guess I get about 25 mpg when I'm not driving aggressively.

Thanks - I'm quite happy with the sound, and the sound improves as you put more miles on it ... I didn't have the shop install it, did it myself - it's very easy, basically unbolt the stock exhaust and put this one in it's place.

This is a GReddy Evo2 cat-back exhaust ... the GReddy part # is 10106601 ... you'll also want to pick up some sort of aftermarket air intake that goes in your engine bay - I have an AEM, but Injen are just as popular.
