Since when did thoughtful music become pretentious? Perhaps if more artists put this much research and thought into the creation of music, we would be at a better place for people in the arts. Also to those people criticizing her appearance -- how would you fee if someone did the same to you? One day all of us will be older and we'll have to learn to deal with it. You be 48 your way, and Tori will be 48 her way. Her appearance is inconsequential to her music. Don't watch if you don't like.

I think Ms. Amos has created yet another masterful concept album. I understand that is very different from anything she did before and for me that is incredible. It shows how we all change and mature and all we do should reflect that. I take each one of her albums and judge it for what it represents at the moment she created it and I am in awe at the talent and intelligence of this woman (artist). She makes my life more joyful.

I just wanted to comment that I just bought this CD (Night of The Hunter) and i is AMAZING..it is so sad This CD asd gone viually unnoticed by the media in the USA and has so few hits (the songs) on you tube....well tori,..you ARE above the rfest of the pack and only the beautiful souls are left to FIND you )

@username1000times the issue seems to be the CD is a concept LP...with intricate, intelligent, deep, cerebral and demanding. Not pop or Hip Hop top 40...Tori could have "created" a single (and she knows how) but she did what she thought fit the poetry and tone...so she winds up ignored by the media and label..thats hwat happens when you DONT sell your SOUL.....For every thousands beibers, perrys, and jayZ ther is ONE real artist. Tori is music minority. But this is a beautiful piece of work :)

You know... I love the Satie piece so much as it is. Satie intended it as a made-up ancient Greek dance. Tori turns it into a Celtic myth. I'm just not sure if that fits so well. To me, it harms the original a little, even though it's still beautiful. But Tori has enough creativity to compose her own songs, hasn't she?

I still think that they might have added a second disk with good performances of the original classical pieces. There's so much unknown treasures there. But that should have been rather an action for Deutsche Grammophone to undertake than for Tori.

I got into her starting in 2002 with Scarlet's Walk and have yet to be truly disappointed. and yeah, I'd love to have seen another disc of the original pieces--maybe even performed by Tori as they were. that'd have been awesome. the closest we'll get to that though, is the Sin Palabras edition of NoH, which is, quite literally, NoH without the singing.

I know the changes started way before that but on AATS tour it was the worst. I can't understand how people can delude themselves into saying she didn't have any work done.
