If your referng to RB1 and RB2 drum sets, they arent the same.

The RB1 are dimpled, while RB2 is raised.

The pedal in RB1 is plastic, and in RB2 is metal.

Its a stupid oversight by Harmonix. Real drumkits and Digital drumkits have each pad supported, Harmonix simped by just sticking them on a silly plastic side support.

My advice to anyone unfortunate enough to have bought one (myself included) buy some thick wood and reinforce those silly plastic side supports asap.

Um, I really feel that the 300$ Ion set is a better choice, but only for people that really need that perfection of an electric set....

For anyone else though, and including myself... I would suggest Goodwoods, they are half the price of the irons at 150$ and I have had several people tell me that they are just as good as the Ion set...

Most of the people that play rock band think the same though, and that is that the equipment is shitty..... And we do play light, very light and they still fall apart, it is simply a design flaw... If the outside pads have constant pressure being placed on them without support, they will give out... And light enough to make this not a factor would pretty much equal not playing on expert...

EA and Harmonix have done NOTHING for the future of gaming... Their makeup is a copy of Konami, if anyone deserves credit it would be them.... And if you look the RB2 drums are the same design as the first ones just made the pads better but not the support.... If they listened why would they leave out support for the outer pads, instead they will just restrict RMA and tell everyone to go fuck themselves when their shit breaks...

The cymbals are entirely optional.... The pads were expected and the pedal had to be done... But the underlying problem is sensitivity and the outer pads..... Where the hell did you get that percentage (92%) just pull that from somewhere?
