  • Sollution: Competant leadership umongst the workers to start a underground labor union. Orgenized strikes and every possible way to cause employers not to pay "job Agencies", etc. Regardless of the conciquences it may cause an international outcry. A good willed lawyer should also be representing the workers intrests.

  • @RanaRajpootana Kenyans?....who is a kenyan?

Yr God has 8 hands(bagwanji). Is he an octopus or god? May you rot in hell after yr death. How i would be aroused to hear yr regrets and torture on the barbequed stove of the hell fire.

  • @RanaRajpootana GO DRINK SOME COW PISS AND GO TO THAT MONKEY AND ASK FOR FORGIVENSS

    MAD MAN

AND IF HE DOES NOT FORGIVE TRY THE

    RATS

    WHAT A RELIGION

    HA HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHHA AHBAHAHAHA HAHAHAH

  • @RanaRajpootana ....aah what a waste of emotion if i would cling on replying to your low class comment. R u a toilet cleaner in Dubai who is underpayed AND NOW expressing yr anger here on youtube? Get a life faggot

  • Mutherfucker junas125 nobody forces ur hindu ass to go there go beg ur fucking rats and drink so cow piss bitch

  • @nice0071 First of all I am not a Hindu, I am a Muslim, and even if I was a Hindu it wouldn't change the fact that in these countries workers are terribly abused and have no rights whatsoever. My point was simple. There is great emphasis in our religion on treating workers right, go through the Hadiths of the prophet Muhammad(p.b.u.h) yet there is huge emphasis in KSA on forcing people to go for salah etc but no real emphasis on workers rights.I'd like to see a mutawwa actually speak up on this.

  • Very sad how these rich Arabs mistreat their employees. It's better to be a prisoner in White man's country than a labourer in the middle East. I am muslim and live in Canada, the goverment here treat us all equal irrespective of yr colour, nationality or creed. No wonder Dubai has become a ghost town now. All their buildings are empty and the spirits of the oppressed are lingering in the corridors.

  • This is really sad and shameful. How can these muslim countries let such poor people suffer like this !I am a Muslim myself ,but I really disappointed, such treatments are unaccepted(UNISLAMIC) and Allah Almighty is watching over those Muslims who are treating these innocent people inhumanly.

  • Bravo to AlJazeera for broadcasting this report for the world to see. I looked at a similair report from ABC news in America on YouTube and it plays like a tourism commerical for Dubai. The first 8 to 9 minutes of the 14 minute ABC video does nothing but show the malls, hotels, water parks and horses of Dubai. They spend a few seconds interviewing actual workers in the labor camps, then rely completely on the Human Rights Watch report to make up the remainder of the report.

  • add to the list of problems, discrimination, corruption, favoritism, bribery, lazy people, mismanagement in everything because nothing matter to them by the end of the day because its the oil revenue that has made them adamant to everything around them irregardless of other's pain and misery

  • omg thank you! you hit the nail on the head of how Khaleejis or gulf arabs think and operate. I lived in UAE since grade 2 and since i was a mixed arab lebanese I was treated less than favourably by gulf arabs, syrians jordanians and lebanese were not mean it was the saudis and emirates who mocked my asian side and I see where they get it from when they mock filipino maids and pakistani workers and service men in restaurants and hotels and groceries we need equality for them.

  • @SayocKali1 lol you wonder how can they mock philippinoes when they are raised by them xD every local household has a servant of some kind, a cook, a driver, a nanny, a gardener ... there was this local guy at the gym he used to bring his philippino maid with him as a spotter, i swear she used to lift most of the weight, after 2 months i think she grew more muscles than him xDa

  • what the fucks the point of your story? How your so freakin lazy? Your entire manual labor sector is built on the backs of wage slaves. Exploiting poor people by giving them the bare minimum, not for themselves but to support their families back home tsk tsk the more things change the more they stay the same, I guess allah has forsaken the arabs because he replaced integrity and character for fuckin black jizz.. XD

  • @SayocKali1 you talking to me? i think you meant to reply to someone else?

  • never forget one thing my friends, Allah Almighty is an observer to all this, and He is the one who decides who to punish, we as humans need to endure whatever pains we suffer with the belief that is He who makes us go through them and wants us to prove our belief and obedience towards Him by not even muttering a word

And yes, this video is so true....like i live in the UAE although im a student here and recently came here, but man, these things are so true in addition to many more things

  • yes but god want us to take care of eachother to how you feel about your palestian people.

  • this is bull shit

they have pools swing sets capachino machines and night clubs and free hookers for all to enjoy

  • who is the hookers Arab girls! shut-up u camel f*cker!!

  • I was in the gulf. This is a sad situation w/2edged sword. Workers have no rights. Yet, they compete for these conditions. Its a Corporations paradise. And I wish more Americans would see this video. This is what America is heading for w/deregulations&trusting corps. to maintain the middle-class. All they care about is profits. I applaud Jazeera a gulf based agency;for airing this. Unite&work only for decent wages&conditions. U hurt only yourself when U accept these conditions.

    peace.

  • i really hate arabs

  • ahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. this was the first thing i saw wwhen i opened this thing up on accident.

  • The name of the camp is like Arbeit macht frei from the consentration camps.

Its the same idea when you look at it all.

The only diffrents is they dont kill people but exploit them and they surely suffer (and people still die), wich is just as bad.

  • Thats the worst part of all of this.

Their home countries dont care about it either, so they only have themself and are left without any "real" human rights.

  • Fucking middle easterners i hate the way treat these poor hard working ppl.. if they are going to the work pay them you bastards.. by the way am Muslim and somali... I hate these arabs with everything i got...

  • U know we must appreciate what we have, a good life, family and loved ones who are not starving, look at these poor guys who have to work and earn their keep and survival, by being exploited.

  • good news for you! most are leaving and going back home to better jobs and leaving your country in deep trouble.

good luck, you are going to need it to stay alive.

  • You stupid pig! Shut your stinky mouth. Do you think all muslims like arabs or all arabs are muslims? Or you think its better pray to cow instead of one Creator? You should eat cows, not kiss their assess.

  • brother please dont insult muslims, its riched spoiled brats doing this ,nothing has to do with religion may god protect the weak.

  • Patriot

the treatment of those Indian laborers is disgusting, and all humans are responsible for this as they allow it to happen

for them to get a call center job in india, they have to be educated, and well spoken, well most of them are illiterate

your hate 4 Islam might have come from history of politics that you absorbed throughout your life. so for you to call "F* Muslims" would be highly regarded as an act of abuse, which only lowers your dignity

    peace

    A Christian Indian

  • my people are being treated like dogs in these countries that claim to be Islamic and they do not uphold their religious values of equity and human rights!

  • The workers are not allowed to go on strike. Trade Unions are banned in most of the Gulf countries. They're incredibly oppressive regimes, unless you're a white westerner or an Arab.

  • I can't believe the Arab guy at 06:20 has the nerve to say that Dubai's housing for migrant workers is "a model for labour housing in the region"... I'd like to see him live there.

  • fucking thieves! as usual making money off the backs of the laborers. Alls that i can say is BUILDING BY ABUSE I hapoe that the IRAQ gov will not be like the United States Gov and Do something about companies abusing the workers remember without the laborer you have not a fucking brick laid a trashcan emptied a road paved god bless the laborer

  • well you can't do anything about it, the indian people are paying to go there and meet the danger

  • This is what " Dubai Cares " for !!!!!

Its all about MONEY, MONEY, MONEY.

The only thing that people over there do not pay money is for the Oxygen that they breathe !! Very soon they will invent a meter and charge you accordingly, for the air that you breathe over there !!!

Humans are just cannon fodder over there. And specially if you are a common worker, no one cares for you.

  • Salve labor is everywhere, such as Migrants working in the US for few dollars. It's wrong and it's caused by greed of the rich.

  • God will punish us for our complicity

  • dam wahabi's

  • And these countries call themselves Muslim countries. They spend considerable time screaming salah salah on the streets (referring to Saudi Arabia) and forcing women to wear the burkah, but they do nothing to implement the true essence of the religion they claim to preserve. Hypocrites!

  • @junas125 Shut up, I am an Emirati (please excuse my youtube name) and the agent's job's are to look after thier citizens not immigrants they have come here by thier own free will to work to get money and I will not see people like you argue when it is not even your right to speak agianst my countries goverment! Are you suggesting we should give up our policy to suite immigrants and give away the benifits my countries goverments gives to thier locals like myself to suit forigner's?

  • @Britishguy18 please excuse me if I am sounding racist but no one other than locals should have any say in the country. If they are immigrants they have to respect the law's of that country and not try to change it to suit them, BECUASE IT IS NOT THIER RIGHT TO CHANGE IT I wish people would understand the goal of the gulf Arabs countries. To look after thier own people and that is what they should be doing and will continue to do and no one outside the countries can say otherwise.

  • @Britishguy18 cant anyone other than the Local's agree with this?

  • @Britishguy18 immigrants dont have to respect the law if the natives themselves dont respect it,ever heard of "lead by example"?the law it self isn't worthy of respect.Iam an arab, muslim, born in dubai, and I have direct local relatives,i call my self a local too,so there's credibility when i say the law is not worthy of respect.taking high pride and preserving your heritage and culture is whats holding you back, backward and primitive people never move forward because they taken things for granted

  • @Britishguy18 Why can't anyone outside evaluate the treatment of laborers in your country. If there are excessive and abusive use of power and authority, people all over the world speak up. We live in a globalised, information obsessive world now, get used to it.

  • @junas125 Because my friend the labourers are not treated as bad as this video proclaims, this is far to extreme! The UAE are good enough to give any sort of accomidation they wouldnt have better back in their own countries or some of the other arabic countries! Now thats actually incorrect they speak up but wont do much about it as their governments know its none of their damn business, we dont intrude in your countries affairs(Emirati's) so dont intrude with ours.

  • @Britishguy18 Oh please, I have lived in the Gulf, I have seen first hand exactly how they are treated. The fact that they come from poor countries with appalling conditions is no excuse for the companies in the UAE to mistreat them. Their passports are taken from them quite often and they can't return even if they want to.

  • @Britishguy18 That's the part I found interesting. The UAE is rolling in money.

  • Good report Aljazeera. Too bad only 9,000 people have seen this.

  • sih sih sih, this is shameful, the sweat LIFE and Tears of migarant workers responsibility lies in the hands of the Goverments of the countries

Im afraid, if the head of states turn a blind eye to their domestic affairs, and their downtrodden international workers. then I dont believe their Selffish prayers will be Accepted by Allah, and He is well aware of what they Do..

  • Oh please. Even the worst off workers there are still getting a better end of the stick than how their own people treat them. When I left Dubai last year and the Ministry of Labor announced a crackdown on the real thieves- the guys that hire them and don't pay ANYTHING.

  • I never heard this before! I feel like an ass! Great report!

  • Good work.

  • Thanks, Al Jazeera, for addressing issues such as this rather than feeding us infotainment like Fox "News", or propaganda like the BBC. Keep up the good work, and good luck!

  • This practice will just go on and on as long as there is poverty. This exploitation of labourers has been a very old issue here in Dubai and their response is the same: "if you dont like it here then leave!", knowing the fact that these people are desparate and there will be no shortage of poor people to exploit, they can arrogantly say so. The rich know how to play the poor- they exploit them out of their desperation.

  • Kewlios

  • These illegals in USA are SLAVE workers---bosses have them by short hair===outlaw LOBBYISTS--make crooks out of CONGRESSMEN & WOMEN---cocophal

  • remember what Lenin wrote about capitalist imperialism, powerful countries exploit LDC's in order to make life better for their own citizens. That's exactly what is going on in the gulf region, on the other hand, let's see where those gulf countries are in 20 years.

  • believe it or not, that is a small thing from what is happening in the gulf.

    see this for more

    uaeprison. com

  • This is exactly where we were before unions and exactly where we are going to end right back up if we don't do something to get a handle on worker's rights again quick. Even in Unions, they are backsliding, insurance gets crappier every year, pay doesn't keep up with inflation

  • Why doesn't Al Jazeera Arabic run this story, or something like it? It's the Arabic-speakers who are the citizens in the Gulf; they should see this as well!

  • Its only b/c of oil that these lazy Arab countries are so rich. And they exploit Indian, Filipino workers. It wont be long before hydrogen fuel economy will be possible and Arabs will go back riding camels.

  • Hell why go back ride camels, while I can still ride someone like u...!

get ready to roll...u gonna be my b*tch..!

    Saalam,

What kind of jahil human being are you? You put all these islamic stuff on your webpage. And you leave comments like these. Every person will be accountable for his actions on the Day of Judgement. For the maltreatment of workers in arab states, the governments of the those countries will be accountable.

    saalam

  • Ya Hisham, before you retort to such things and classifying me as Jahil, though I know what you mean by the "word Jahil" the comment was a sarcastic reply to Sonalirmr...!

know don't be so judgemental before you understand what has been said and why..?

    Saalam...? do you mean Salaam?

    Wasalaam.

  • Hehe u r really stupid , ur comment indicate that u r a worker on a trash company , coz if the oil finished , at that time Gulf is really good place to vacate at , but why telling u ? u r just a worker

  • We here in America, would never, ever see on our local news about middle east slave labor.I heard Dubia, was also the same. With people making two dollars a day.

  • baffeling that no news of this has filtered back to the villagers & they continue to want to go seek work. How do they prevent this news from getting back to friends, family, village?

  • And this ist Dubai?! The rich land! Of what? Of incompetence!!!

  • What ariakokoschka said is the truth: "What do you think Americans are doing in Iraq..." May I add to these accounts of modern absolute slavery, the disgusting happening of the planeload of Filipino workers who were kidnapped... they were told they were going to Saudi Arabia, and in mid-flight discovered that they were shanghai'd by Cheney's minions to Iraq to build that God-damned American Embassy in a country where these thieves of Iraq oil have absolutely no business to be in.

  • Terrible situaton. I wish just the Anti Arabic vioces stop only blaming Arabs for the bad treatments of these workers and take blames for this.

  • As gulf residence . i can say from knowledge. this workers stats is widely knowen thing . but when it come to companys . it all about money

  • their are legal COYOTES supported by the government and the big companies ,lord have mercy on them

  • MODERN AGE SLAVERY

  • yes! and those who enjoy all the wealth and opulance built through the humiliation of these slaves, deserves

God's Anger !!! will get it and feel it if human enough

  • What do you think Americans are doing in Iraq; bringing workers from East Asia to do the job that Iraqis should do and work them to death. On top of that they are using these workers to build mega-bases for permanent military presence in the region.

  • This is not right, there should be some sort agency that will help or at least investigate the problems and follow up on the companies. It starts from the people at the top. So what if housing conditions are not perfect for some of these men back in their home countries. treat the workers right and they will irrespectively work better for you.

  • it's a eye opening report, they treated less than humen

  • SLAVE STILL CONTINUE IN THE 21 CENTRURY>> The richer get richer the poorer.. sweat for them to live happyly> What a shame!!is all about gridy! discusting..
