@jdog6 This song is on the soundtrack for The Cowboy Way and the Change single (often referred to the Country Jellyfish version) . Made the soundtrack but not the movie. To my knowledge these are the only official recordings.

Velvet Underground is one of my favorite bands as well. Shannon does it justice, well frankly Shannon does things justice no matter what It is. True talent.. :) & Look at that goddamn smile! Makes your heart melt, huh? Mine too ;)

@allwillsuffer I love Velvet Underground as much as I love Blind Melon. I always think the originator deserves all the credit in the world, but what Shannon did with the line "if I could walk away from meeeeeeeeeeeee-hehehe" adds his own stamp onto the song. This guy was a musical genius, and I personally enjoy this version of Candy Says more than the original.

I've loved this version for years and years. If it wasn't for this I'd never have checked out Velvet Underground.....to actually see the video of them recording the version I know so well, however, is just amazing. Thanks so much for putting this online!!!
