Yes. There definitely was a short skit before the movie starts. The crazy cat lady picks up a VHS (or Betamax) tape and says something like "Ooooh, Percy! This looks like an interesting movie!" and pops it in the player, while petting her dead cat. Classic! Would love to have a decent quality version of it...and some sexi satin against my flesh...
it should not be missing anything. This is exactly as it was presented on the old vhs/beta tapes (which you can see as the film credits play on the left side). Can you give more info
I believe chilla is referring to the bit before Hellraiser even starts with the crazy old lady and her cat. She's seen putting the videotape into her VCR and I believe she tells you to stay tuned after the movie for this offer.
@willerror I picked up the vhs version of that first release but have been lazy as hell in actually checking that out. I am about to convert something else and since the vcr will be hooked up, will fish out the hellraiser tape. If it is there, will up the intro part here--

Well this the infomercial that begins at the end of the film but there is another clip of this old lady before the film starts.
