This fight was a real fight between Donnie Yen and and Wu Jing. I saw in an interview of Wu Jing that the director told them to fight it out for real since Donnie Yen has practiced wushu for 30 years and Wu Jing has practiced for 20 years.

I'm sure there's bits and pieces of choreography near the end but it doesn't get much more real than this!!!

Wow donnie yen is fearless!!!!! He took a nice slice from jing wu after he had him pinned with the baton, and he didn't even take a step back or put his hand on the wound. Now that's what i call dedication!

I cannot understand how this movie slipped through the cracks!!!??? It was fantastic from beginning to end. The plot; the acting and the combat were incredible. Especially the fight between Jing Wu with the knife against Danny Yen with the ASP Stainless Expandible baton! Fast, fluid, furious!

This guy's knife fighting skills are unprecedented . How many of you even caught that over-hand grip to under-hand grip transition he does @ 2:14 - 2:17

@monkofunk212 Jing Wu was world Kung Fu Champion for a while. His skills in edged weapons were excellent. Having had some training in Kali; I was able to catch that transition. Also, notice the type of blade he is using? He flashes it in the face of Donnie Yen before killing his partner in another part of the film. The blade "style" is pure "Indo-Chinese".

@monkofunk212 How many caught his over-under hand transitions several times duiring the fight; not to mention when he drops it from his right to his left hand, after the part he tosses it from one hand to another when being pinned by the expandible baton? Jing Wu is amazing with edged weapons. Donnie Yen has excellent hand skills and a good knowledge of mixed tactics.
