  • ok ive got a high end pc everything maxed out on market right now

when i press ultra high settings on oblivion it lower my resolution y??

  • Are you using Qarl's Texture Pack? ;)

  • whats the difference between this laptop and the Gateway® P-7815u FX Edition?

  • Will this run oblivion max graphics

    AMD 630 Quad Core Processor

    4GB Premium Branded DDR2 Memory

ATI Radeon HD 5450 1024MB Performance Graphics

    windows 7

also could some one explain how the RAM,The processor and the graphic card inderpendertly affect my games graphics and gameplay (I am new to pc gaming

consoles suck now no old skool games) thanks in advance

  • @parabilly definitely will. The processor processes the physics (sometimes graphics card can too with physx), ai, etc. The graphics card processes the textures, polygons, lighting, etc. anything you see basically. The ram is there to store the information, just like a hard drive. It stores sounds, textures, images, whatever.

    Hope that helped.

  • @mroam88 thanks your awsome :)

  • it looks really good, but you should have picked a better spot in the forests or something that had more detail and less fog :/ i can tell you have good specs though

  • can i play tes4 oblivion with this card and 2gb of ddr2 800mhz, and a amd athlon x2 240 regor 2.8 ghz (stock)? If so at what settings. Also i would be playing this on an old dell 19" crt. plz let me know what you think. I am asking everyone. Thks.

  • @lolpankake Probably, also keep in mind that the size of the screen won't affect how well the game runs, but the resolution will! If it runs like shit, lower the resolution. Also shadows tend to eat up the framerate on lower-end systems

  • Can i run this game on maximum with all the AA and everything?

    Spec:

    Nvidia GTS 240

    Core i7-860

    4 GB Ram

    At 1600x900

  • You probably showed the ugliest part of Oblivion while trying to show off the graphics. What the hell is wrong with you?

  • STOP YOU CRIMINAL SCUM!YOU VIOLATED THE LAW

    LoL ,epic

  • @JUAN32445337 chyea

  • I not sure what you mean about 360's performance. You can't compare the PC to a console when it comes to games. PCs games are a whole different story when it comes to graphics.

If you're in need of a "gaming" laptop, You can't go wrong with the FX P-7915u. At $1100 it's a great price. Since you don't know much about computers I guess I could add that if you're into gaming a desktop worth $800 (including LCD screen) will net you better performance than a $1100+ laptop.

  • I don't know much about computers, but I just got a DX 4822-01. I'm wondering if I should return it for an FX. If I play the game, I want it to match or better the 360's performance.

  • @CARFANATIC552 Eh, I would get an FX. It by far surpasses the 360's performance. There's a BIG difference between playing oblivion on the 360 and playing it on a 7805u (or newer) laptops

  • You can overclock the Gateway's laptops?

  • @inyue69 You can OC the GPU but you will need to get one of those extreme processors from intel to OC the CPU

  • This is it... the video that convinced me to buy this laptop :D Now I just need some monies...

  • Awesome dude! It's really a great laptop, even with the 1440x900 screen. Worth every penny.

You should look into the core 2 quad version with the new nvidia card.

  • Runs great and look awsome there dude 5/5. Im runnin q9550 and 2x 9800 gtx and 8gb ram ddr2 1066mhz. I use to suffer fps drops to 30, which piss me off, and shadows look shit. KNow how can i fix them? i feel like oblivion ran better with my old nvidia 6800 ultra sli system :/

  • @furbyunicejafisher Does oblivion support SLI? All I can say is to get all the patches and look into editing the .ini

  • @mroam88 I enabled the sli bar, n looks like it's been used. But it runs the same, and with sli on there are like grahpical glitches, like u see squared or pixeled water... etc. But dunno now, last time i pld oblivion was long time ago, new drivers could've fix it.

  • STOP YOU VIOLATED THE LAW!!!!

  • Nice I hope U enjoyed oblivon well ;)

  • This don't seems running in max settings, the draw distance is too low... humn...

  • You're an idiot. Did you watch the video past 54 seconds? I show you the settings I'm running, the draw distance is on it's MAX setting. It's called a foggy day dude. :P

  • Impressive !! Although some reviews stated that Gateway FX 7805u have problems in running 32bit games, and one stated was Oblivion. Hmmm getting bit confused....

  • Nope, not any problems with 32bit applications. None at all.

  • are you playing on windows vista?

  • Yep, Vista 64bit with sp2.

  • i never want to play oblivion again, it was a good game at first but when you play it for sooooooo many hours on end....then you fuckin hate it. :)

  • not if you get lots of good mods : )

  • I second that. It's terrible after like 100 hours of playing it. You get to the point where you're playing the background music in your head before it plays in the game. And you know what every NPC is going to say before they say it!

  • I'm basically addicted to it, I know what you mean. After about 6 months of playing it, I memorized nearly all the quest dialogue, and I've gotten to the point where whenever I start a new game, I cannot make a new one unless I completely max the stats and do the faction quests. It's like a drug :x.

  • check out Oblivion running on my p7805u @ 1920x1200 maxed settings with extra texture detail mods! It looks almost like in real life.

  • Meh, I've got about 1400 hours on my saves, combined.

  • get mods

  • i have this laptop 2. any reason why my dead space lags a lot? is there any settings i should change in nvidia control panel?

  • I don't know.. I haven't tried it yet. Do you have your nvidia settings set to "application preference"?

  • hmmmm ill try

  • It might just be the game, try reinstalling it. Maybe you need updated drivers for your graphics card. One of those.

  • check vsync.

  • vsync is to lock the fps to the monitors refresh rate. So all that will accomplish is eliminating screen tearing.

  • i meant check it off but oh well, just a suggestion.

  • @blacksword223 Turn off vsync and force it on the nvidia control panel. I think that's what I did.

  • @blacksword223 I did nothing and it runs at constant 30fps... so good luck with that

  • im about to get this game and laptop its realy nice and i got a gamepad for it so im set hope this game doesnt have alot of buttons

  • Man I stopped playing this game when my old laptop died... If I can recover my saved (number 1300 was the latest I believe XD) I'll start again and finish the expansion :)

  • I've played this on the 360 and beat it. I need to play through it again and go through all of the expansions.

  • I have this game for the 360, i havent played the game in about a month though. I may start playing the game again soon.

  • hehe I am a proud owner of a gateway p7805u with 14x9 screen

  • hehe I am a proud owner of a gateway p7805u with the WUXGA res at 1920x1200. It rocks hard check out my videos on my channel :)

  • nice.... glad to see that oblivion is easily playable on max settings on max resolution...
