great exercise just one thing when at max speed and you start slowing down you slow too much instantly, making the slowing smoother and slower lol helps you get even more accurate :)
Thanks for the comment! As you'll read in the video description, I would normally sustain this into a longer, gradual warm-up & cool-down. The increases/decreases in speed are exaggerated only in order to save time for the purposes of the video.
Thanks for the comment- however, you're mistaken my friend. I'm playing SIXES first of all...never fours at all; six on my hands, then six on my feet back and forth. Secondly, as I speed up, I'm still playing sixes the ENTIRE time. Around 3:38 I accidentally play four notes instead of six on my feet, but that is the only exception. If you don't believe me, you can slow the video/audio down. I'm am NOT decreasing the number of notes as I speed up, either with my hands or feet.
-= nice video!! can you please post a video lesson about triplets in double bass pls? i like your explanations and principles in drumming hope you can post 1 tnx!
thx for you r reply ;) like to play with socks but the only 2 downsides are in the winter cold feet and socks rubbing the plates and beiing destroyed after couple times :) tryed to wear sportshoes but didnt get the loose feeling i usualy have playing without any footwear . sandals you wear are looking pretty comfy , first time i see such model ;)
again kick ass video :) , want to ask you something about the footwear , see you drumming with some flip flop shoes , normally i drum without footwear and on socks , can you tell me if you always drum like this and if my playing on socks is good for my feet ?
It seems that footwear while playing drums in a matter of personal preference. I usually wear sandals in the summer time, tennis shoes in the winter time- but I do know guys that have played in socks and get great results! I'd say if it works for you, use it!
@djfosse I think one of the most important things when it comes to footwear, while playing drums, is to get something that doesnt move from your foot too much (you want your shoe to cradle your foot, and you will also want the sole is either really thin, or worn down, so you can feel exactly what you are doing. One of the worst things you an do is buy a pair of thick bottomed shoes, and start playing, almost blind. think if you could not feel the sticks while playing how much harder it would be
lol flip flops

lol, nice,
just like to point out.. Your Changing to Fivs instead of fours with speed, ending on a right handed/footed note..
