this is the highest road ever passed during the tour de france. it has been used twice. robert miller was the first to go over it the last time it was used. Supposedly on a clear day you can see the sea from the top of it. It is not often used in the TDF because of its remote location in the southern alps. great video
sorry i just found out that the last time it was used was in 1964 when Frederico Bahamontes reached the top first.
