wait so how are you going to drive it without a clutch? direct drive seems like a pretty scary idea... especially with a wankel thats got the torque of a car engine lol.

you may get more power but it dogs like all hell when you hit the gas, so why take it off.......

this video was taken before the motor was pulled apart. if you pause it at the 13 second mark, you see the black vacuum line running from the top of the motor to the carb? well compression pulses from the rotor actually go through there, & down into the carb to pulse the diaphram inside, thus acting as a fuel pump. the metal pipe leading to the rotor housing in this motor was clogged, & so it wasnt geting any pulse. i have fixed it now, & it no longer bogs when you flip the throttle open :-)

the pipe takes away power. on any peripheral ported rotary, any form of exhaust takes away power. colin340 is not a moron.

uhh you could of put it on a bigger gokart, that kart looks like it used to be a pedal kart,

kennedy engineered products has a adaptor to put a rotary in a vw transaxle, so buy a vw rail or make a vw trans based go kart and bolt it up with the adaptor, basically a sandrail is a go kart lol

and a bug would be one if they werent so slow (in stock form)

hey guys i have a rotary motor that came off a 83 rx7 its a 12a 2 rotor w/a 5 spd tranny. i am thinkig about putting it n a gokart or a small sand rail any tips that might help are welcome..will post pics of the engine tommorow.

the engine is from a german bike: hercules w 2000.

it was build in the mid 70´s.

edit: the w 2000 had a KC27 294 ccm engine.

bought it off ebay, search "wankel".  so far i've had it up to about 60 -65 mph in a neighborhood, but i think it has some speed left. keep an eye out for a new vid here very soon
