  • A human brain cannot digest all that in 12 years. It's simply too much for our fragile monkey brain.

  • do students usually have this many books on their tables?

  • @cornmealplusmilk I am a chinese. You can't image the life in our high school!!God damn, for examination,we need to do lots of school assignment, that's why we have so many books on our tables~~so envy the school life in America.

  • I don't understand how they can study with so little space on their desks, because of the many books :/

  • wht there is a background music? lol

  • That's why they are much better than us in Brazil. If our government doesn't do anything now, Brazil will never be a prosperous country in the world! Much is said abot the way the Chinese parents do to support their children at school, but things in Brazil are getting worse and worse in the educational area. Brazilian students are not ecouraged to read books, nor to study!

Congratulations on your level of education!

  • all i see are books books and a sleeping student lol'

  • I was wondering if they carry all of those books every day that are for only one day's syllabus, and continuously read along the day or all the books on the tables are for one year so that they leave it for next day and only study them in the class. Is it the break when this video was taken and what about the music while they read books?

  • @aalexxanderr

Maybe this is a 40min-50min long Break for students' dinner.

An evening individual study class will be taken after that.

    %>_<% finished at 21:00 or 22:00

  • @aalexxanderr no.lol. there's space in the desk that u can just leave most of the books there, and carry the ones that u need home.

  • @aalexxanderr we are the slave of the knowledge,we have not option just the remembering and do a superficial comprehension in knowledge created by others and we scare to justify whether is truth.i must confess that young Chinese guy do not like studying by they must do it well .

  • thats weird... They don't have a dress code? a certain uniform that needs to be worn?

  • @Topaz1115

in the school i used to go in china, uniforms are only required to be worn on Mondays.

  • @xingfenzhen i hate our uniforms.they look really ugly.lol

  • WTF? what are studying to be? all obamas? or what? and do they leave the books at school or have to carrying the load of books!?!?!?!

  • @DBZ1980s we leave it at school.if it doesnt have enough space for all the books.we put it on the floor.thats a sweet memory to us.

  • if i didn't have a locker my desk would look the same

  • lol one o them is on their cell phones

  • So how much did you pay her, Pepo Gomes Mendes?

  • Comment removed

  • there's no way there are so many books on the tables LOL

  • look at the shit they make them listen to no wonder, the only reference of america they are given sucks balls

  • its country high school.. you should give a city one

  • haha i dnt give a shit i had a right laugh wen i was at school and wudnt have changed it for anything

  • Its unfair to assume that just because you are studious you are socially inept and emotionally under-developed.

I'm not Chinese but have chinese friends who are high achievers AND very fun to be around (although they aren't the Fobby Chinese type)

But I DO find that Chinese tend to be too marks oriented and judge a person by their Marksheet. I think they'd benefit from valuing creativity and innovativeness more.

Eg: Li Ka shing never went to college.and he wasn't a 90%er.Look where he is now.

  • reminded me my younger life and reinforce my determination to change the education system. I will be back!

  • They are so cute!

  • what are they doing with these so many books

  • @inbora

most of them are workbook, different kinds of textbook.

  • @inbora those are all the classes that they have to take and pass.

  • @inbora for study

  • y is there so much shit on there desk

  • Lol, so quiet, in my school people would be laughing, screaming and playing, and rules are very strict, what do they do to keep them like that? LOL, I wish my school was like that...

  • Even in Australia, the top scorers on exams have Chinese surnames.

  • LOL...thats very strange for me...haven't they a bag where they can carry their books?

  • wow to quiet, i never get that at my school it all loud laughter and screaming

  • NOTICE: there is no texting, chatting, checking facebook, etc. I like this a lot

  • While there is not texting, chatting, etc, there is a roomful of emotionally and mentally underdeveloped and overworked teenagers. They spend so much time studying that they don't know the first thing about life outside of those four walls. Its rather depressing.

  • I know many Chinese students at my school that have been hear for a year or so. Many of them have 4.0s but 90% of them do get out and hang out with others...almost as if the college is too easy for them even though it's all in English. I guess they can be emotionally underdeveloped in these walls, but their brains are developed enough to adapt when subjected to something other than school.

I definitely understand your point though : (

  • The thing about Chinese students who are in America is that they tend to be of the privileged or upper middle class. It isn't easy to secure a visa and money to get there. The students in your school might have been exposed to a lot more than my rural kids were.

  • True

  • @itsanthonyhere alot of chinese students at my university cheat lol

  • thats true, China is developing but the pple r still in the Wang dynasty

  • I cannot agree with you, we just don't have time to do those exciting things, if there is a chance we go to america, which is now quite pobable. we can easily be as"developed" as you guys do. Also, US colledges, except for some top ivy schools, are quite easy to handle, you guys just don't study at all.

  • You know, I have Chinese friends at Peking and Qing Hua University who do poorly, which disproves your prejudice comment hands down.

"You guys just don't study at all."

A significant portion of students in the United States are studious; however, admittedly, most do not put forth the effort to do well or succeed.

You need to remember that this is a common occurrence around the world, and the United States isn't the only nation that experiences this phenomenon.

  • @adoyzie are u retarted?

stop regurgitating the same old shjt every1 says, and it would only take a second to learn the fun/ crazy party life that americans do way to much, but it would be nearly impossible for americans to learn and become as intelligent as these people are

  • I agree, the books were the first things I thought about too :p although I wonder..is it you need that many books for just this lesson(!?) or are they praticly all the books you got? cuz I think most ppl got that many as a total, but usually there are lockers to keep them in :p and if I remember right..you dont have lockers in china

  • Yeah, they live at their desks. They don't move from class to class, the teachers did.

  • There's waaay more than that .. cuz I used to study in a boarding school .the situation is just awful ,locker we have is about 4 times bigger than US one .3 quarters of the locker is full of books ..there's an accident before , books came out from the unlocked locker in a higher position and pour directly down while the student was standing right below.. the poor guy got many bump on his head ~~

  • We do have a locker.

but, the problem is there are different lessons in the morning, so, that's why chinese students rather put all their books on their table than lockers because it's saving a lot of time for going out to carry back those books.

  • Oh my god! The pile of books one everyone's table is scary!

  • 0.0

I was schocked when I saw all the books on every table! I dont think I would like that at school, because I will feel clautraphobic, or sleep behind them. lol.

Their work ethic is really admirable, but it is true that it is very difficult to live in that situation.

  • now, now, the Canadian government has appologized for Bryan Adams on numerous occasions.

  • Oh my gosh.

I feel sorry for all those people there.

    Good job, sleeping guy. Lol.

  • So many Books and papers everywhere!!

LOL at the kid sleeping haha

  • wow, that was interesting XD

I'm visiting Chinese schools in March and hopefully it'll be a pleasant experience XD

  • where is this? i go to chinese school so i know how u guys feel :)

  • well

    i know the feeling

and such many books for a chinese student is too normal

    lol

  • sleepin guy is funny

    i wanna be der!!

  • lol they're like me especially the one thats asleep

  • 刚刚看了段日本学校的视频,我们的学生缺少太多的活力,看样子是要到大学才能爆发了。我想到自己的高中时代

  • hehe that was neat. was this your classroom?

  • sleeping guy funny

  • LOL all those books!! Looks like my room!!! XD I'm a study-only-maniac, too. LOL

  • They're all really well behaved, except for that one kid sleeping haha. So many books! That's a lot of studying.

  • man. that's alotta books. that's crazy. they'd rather study? that makes me feel... inadequately stupid that i'd rather partay outside than study. haha.
