@SamWazamTV Treat it nice and it will reward you with many kills. Misuse it and it will be a piece of junk in no time. Beginner gun... I don't know. If you're after reliability out of the box, one of CYMA's new AKs will probably outlast it no matter what you do to it. But if you want a full metal M4 with trades and upgrade potential that comes at a low price, you can't beat Dboy's offer with this replica.
.25 for woddland (or areas where wind is an issue) and .23 for indoor. My personal preference is the JBU brand, they seem to be well enough polished and good quality, as well as cheap. But you can use whatever brand is available as long as it's polished.
Yup, still kicking strong. Hop-up rubber needs a replacement tho, it shot through more than 30.000 bbs since it was installed. Air group and gearbox is fine.
No internal upgrades since purchase. Only one 9.6 battery and several externals added.
@bogdan192 Good to know thanks. I have the CQB-R version without the silencer and i wanted to make sure I made a good investment and what i needed to do to maintain it.
i bought this gun and used it twice before i sold it. i really dont care what people who are biased towards crap guns say, but from an honest perspective these guns are bad. there are so many parts that are bad out of the box, the finish isn't nice, and it fires like shit. really just save like $20 more and by the same m4 variant made by g&g and if possible save til you can afford a G&P, KWA, or VFC and then you will really get a great value
@k1ng92 A Dboy is a cheap STARTER gun ASSHOLE okay, of course VFC or KWA evern G&P are good but there expensive. You won't save "20 dollars" you'll save 250 dollars. G&G is also a good gun to buy but it doesn't come with a battery or charger
@dragonfire77721 i consider a starter gun a good gun, and no airsoft site advises its buyers to use the battery and charger that comes with a chinese gun, so most players buy a battery and charger regardless of if it has one. and if you think your saving money then consider that the G&G m4 is $40 less than this gun, meaning for the same price you could get a better gun with a better battery and a better charger.....and you lose money with dboys compared to high end guns with repairs
remove the suppressor and ris rail and there should be 2 washer where the delta ring would be.... that should take the place and same amount of space as the 2nd washer but hold it in place
@petranigtarm14 You need to use silicon spray in the mag well (on the feed tube), in the mags (spray in a few times and fill the loading tube with bbs), on the inner barrel and hop-up. Doing this will cause the hop-up to be ineffective for the first hundred or so bbs you will shoot (untill the silicone oil is spat out). Lubing the gearbox every 10k bbs is also a good idea but I myself have never done it.
I have the same AEG. I use to have the same problem with the front part unsrcewing. What I did was remove it, place a couple rubber rings before the screw and screw it in tighly again. It has not moved ever since!!!
Your problem is that the front assembely isn't tight you will have to twist the connecter part that connects the front assembely to the back assembley after that it shouldn't give you much problem I had the same happen to me when I had a m16a3
@xcr1msonx: It's as reliable as you make it. Same goes for any airsoft replica (maybe except Tokio Marui). Shoots around 120m/s in stock form. That's ~360FPS.
The VN-Style mag is from a SPR Mod0. It wasn't in the CQBR package. YOu can buy them separately. I tend to like them more then normal STANAG type mags because the toy is more maneuverable.
@hezabimu The collapsible part of the stock is ABS plastic. It's quite sturdy and has taken it's fair share of abuse over time. No problems with it so far. The buffer tube is metal.
@hezabimu Just so you know abs plastic is used in most real guns now days your glocks and xd's have abs plastic frames but the abs plastic does crack on these guns cause of the way you use
Older versions yes. Metal 7mm bushings now come as standard on newer versions.
Mine came with nylon bushings but it's still as good as it was when it first arrived. It's been through more than 20000 bbs and now it's running on a 9.6 battery, no gearbox issues so far.
You can get the D Boy Full Metal RASII CQB (the non-silenced version) off airsoftgi for $190. For the silenced version check out evike (they only have the version without trades).
nice review... great gun.. i just ordered this gun with a normal m4 front assembly, upgraded internals, a marui hop up and a acog red/green scope.... i'll be posting a review of it soon after it arrives
It only comes with a rear iron sight. You need to add an aftermarket front sight if you want to use iron sights. I just took off the rear sight and mounted a riser and a holosight.
Well you can either use a battery discharger (search for them on any airsoft online store) or you can improvise something with a CPU source fan and some wires to discharge a normal Ni-Mh or Ni-Cd battery. Basically all you need is two wires and a device to turn electrical current into movement or heat. Never try to discharge a Li-Poly battery (they will stop working if they discharge below a certain voltage).
Markings are laser engraved. After a yer or so of monthly use they haven't faded. Only thing that happened is that they got a yellowish tint (prolly due to dust and dirt).
Tighten screws, clean the inner barrel, don't mess with the internals (unless they break), use quality bbs, store it away from dust and dirt, don't drop it, throw it or kick it, charge the battery before every game then discharge it after the game, lube the hop-up and inner barrel monthly with silicon oil, clean the mags so they won't missfeed.
I hav a solution for your problem, It works for me. Put a rail cover going from the top front RIS to the main top rail on the upper reciever. Send me a message if this helps. Regards
The silencer is detachable but it acts as an outer barrel. If you take it off you will expose the inner barrel. It will look like half of an M4 with a brass tube sticking out.
The silencer can be removed by unscrewing clockwise as you are looking at the barrel I believe. Be advised that the silencer is made up of 3 parts: the part that fillets and covers the inner barrel, some foam and a metal part that covers it. This last part can be unscrewed by turning in the opposite direction (anti-clockwise I think).
Do they glue the silencer in? I tried simply unscrewing mine and it doesn't work.
Part of the problem is that the RIS blocks access to the part of the silencer that screws in, while the silencer locks the RIS in place. I tried taking the front off the gun, but apparently i cant take the RIS off from the back either.
@LUCANATE I did actually get it off. It requires removing the upper receiver and then taking the rails off. Once you get the rails off w/ upper receiver, just diesel the thing. Heat gun might help. I ended up putting in a outer barrel extension and sawing the rest of the inner barrel off. Sand it down etc, TM tracer.
Put a H nub it in at a lipo and its good to go. It was a bunch of work but its worth it. Look to add a lipo and an eotech replica.
Yo Nice gun, looks good :) Where you get it from also... i was thinking about getting a Boyi Dboy *Full Metal* M4 CQB-R from land warrior for 149 pound, any other suggestions or?
I bought it from crw-airsoft. 149 pounds sounds like a decent sum. Especially if it comes with a warranty and cheap shipping. For me, the shipping was about 80% of how much the toy costed.
Seriously, this is definitely not a toy in the sense that it can hurt you and not intended for children. "Technically" these guns are not even for those under 18 years of age. Toys are those clear POS plastic guns they sell at Walmart.
i had the same problem with my D-boys SPR!!.. butt i didnt just go around.. butt up and down aswel.. i tok the whole gun into pises and found out there was a bad weld... so i traded the gun to a AK my friend builded for me... that sure help my problem... but... nice gun =) i hope you can fixe it ^^
G&P are more expensive and are pre-upgraded to perform better, but in my humble oppinion, the difference in price does not justify the extra quality. I've seen G&Ps strip gears and motor teeth because of mad ROF (as they come stock form with better ROF).
Holosight = holographic sight. The one attached to the M4 in the video works exactly like EOTech similar products (by using a diode to project a hologram on a dichroic mirror). The device is made out of metal, therefore you can call it a "metal holosight"
Ducktape or teflon tape around the fillet. It's been explained before in the comments. Or you can try a Mad Bull RAS Fix device (you can find them on airsoftgi(dot)com)
It's a common behavior that 4 or 5 bbs still remain in the hop-up feed tube and will not be fired unless you turn the replica upside down. Sometimes, one bb will still be present in the hop-up and will be fired but the rest will remain in the tube.
The silencer is removable but it acts as a outer barrel so if you take it off, the inner barrel will be exposed. The silencer is 14mm ccw and can be attached to any barred with a compatible thread. I've tried it on my Galaxy G5 and on a TM AK-47.
Hey bogdan i have one question. I have the same gun as u and i mounted red dot on it, but i was thinking about the laser to. Is the laser usefull only a night or in day to?
Lasers are useful in confined spaces where reaction time is key. I found that it gives you an advantage when firing at short notice without having the time to properly aim. Other then that, it's a very good intimidation factor when having to hold dark areas. Enemies will be less likely to storm when they see a green beam sweeping the entrance.
One problem with laser in airsoft is their straight trajectory (usually bbs follow a curved trajectory) so they will only be accurate to about 20 meters.
I would suggest this only to an experienced airsofter, one who's not afraid to do some tinkering before taking it to a skirmish. If that's not your thing, then go for one of those new full-metal Jing Gong. I hear they are awsome and from my experience, they are rugged and reliable.
Would this guns gearbox blow up stock if you tried to run a 11.1 1300 battery?
NorStarReviews 2 months ago
@NorStarReviews
Mist likely yes. Well not blow up per se, but the trigger contacts will probably be burned. 11.1 Lipo + MOSFET = LOVE tho.

Yo Nice gun, looks good :) Where you get it from also... i was thinking about getting a Boyi Dboy *Full Metal* M4 CQB-R from land warrior for 149 pound, any other suggestions or?
ZachiD14 3 years ago
I bought it from crw-airsoft. 149 pounds sounds like a decent sum. Especially if it comes with a warranty and cheap shipping. For me, the shipping was about 80% of how much the toy costed.

STOP CALLING IT A TOY DAMMIT!!!!!
lockpicker2k 3 years ago 7
Seriously, this is definitely not a toy in the sense that it can hurt you and not intended for children. "Technically" these guns are not even for those under 18 years of age. Toys are those clear POS plastic guns they sell at Walmart.
MischievousIQ 3 years ago 2
It is a replica. A toy for airsoft games. It's not a "gun" or "carabine".

g&p are better right?
pregnantnproud 3 years ago
G&P are more expensive and are pre-upgraded to perform better, but in my humble oppinion, the difference in price does not justify the extra quality. I've seen G&Ps strip gears and motor teeth because of mad ROF (as they come stock form with better ROF).

what kind of battery do you use and how long do you charge it?
thehill2240 3 years ago
Wait... did you say METAL HOLOSIGHT?!?!?!
Boy, you need to check google at once.
TheStol 3 years ago
Holosight = holographic sight. The one attached to the M4 in the video works exactly like EOTech similar products (by using a diode to project a hologram on a dichroic mirror). The device is made out of metal, therefore you can call it a "metal holosight"
bogdan192 3 years ago
holosight =/= reflex sight
What you have on your m4 is reflex sight. Holosight is much more expensive and better.

i have the same gun and i have the same barrel issue as you. if u know of any to fix this please tell me
demtherenonames 3 years ago
Ducktape or teflon tape around the fillet. It's been explained before in the comments. Or you can try a Mad Bull RAS Fix device (you can find them on airsoftgi(dot)com)

u said u didnt have any bbs and yet when u toook the clip some fellout?
pain0frain 3 years ago
It's a common behavior that 4 or 5 bbs still remain in the hop-up feed tube and will not be fired unless you turn the replica upside down. Sometimes, one bb will still be present in the hop-up and will be fired but the rest will remain in the tube.

the silencer on this is detachable? i don't think so.
geecuey2k 3 years ago
The silencer is removable but it acts as a outer barrel so if you take it off, the inner barrel will be exposed. The silencer is 14mm ccw and can be attached to any barred with a compatible thread. I've tried it on my Galaxy G5 and on a TM AK-47.

rubber strap wrench will do the trick.

Does it take a Large or small type battery?
AirsoftingBeast 3 years ago
It takes an 8.4 crane stock type battery. It has a small Tamya connector.

Hey bogdan i have one question. I have the same gun as u and i mounted red dot on it, but i was thinking about the laser to. Is the laser usefull only a night or in day to?
Thank u!
KvasoooO 3 years ago
Lasers are useful in confined spaces where reaction time is key. I found that it gives you an advantage when firing at short notice without having the time to properly aim. Other then that, it's a very good intimidation factor when having to hold dark areas. Enemies will be less likely to storm when they see a green beam sweeping the entrance.
One problem with laser in airsoft is their straight trajectory (usually bbs follow a curved trajectory) so they will only be accurate to about 20 meters.

hey bogdan would you suggest getting this gun?
halohaulic111 3 years ago
I would suggest this only to an experienced airsofter, one who's not afraid to do some tinkering before taking it to a skirmish. If that's not your thing, then go for one of those new full-metal Jing Gong. I hear they are awsome and from my experience, they are rugged and reliable.

My parents lived in ramstien for 12 years
halohaulic111 3 years ago
a few bbs fell out
halohaulic111 3 years ago
Usually there are 4 to 5 bbs still left in the hop-up feeding tube. These won't be fired unless you turn the entire unit upside down.
bogdan192 3 years ago
I got mine yesterday and it did the same thing
halohaulic111 3 years ago
do u know how 2 take the inner barrel out? There's a plastic thing on the end so u can't take it out off the gun. do u know how to get it off?
iplayairsoft1 3 years ago
Just pull it off. It should come off easily. make sure you don't lose it. You can re-attach it after you insert the inner barrel.
bogdan192 3 years ago
where did u get it?

crw-airsoft.
