You see, jy9626, there is a tool in mathematics known as "simplification." It's not too hard of a concept to grasp (I hope). If you have 4 apples and you take away 2 apples, you lost half your apples, or 1 / 2. However, the ratio is still the same. You lost 1/2 of your apples, meaning::

1 / 2 = 2 / 4.

Do you know what equality means? Left side has to be the same as the right side (Remember this stuff)?

Why would an audience question the mathematics involved? Will, the person Matt Damon plays, is undeniably exceptional in mathematics. He didn't make a mistake with his calculations.
