Well Soccer players arent pussies, because the level that they play at is just as serious business as any other professional sport. The reason why many people say this is because they are the best actors out of all the sports and their players.

They play towards the Refs to get as many calls they can, so pretending to be in pain and crying happens alot. Some people see this and frown and honestly it takes away from the sport for me, just man up, fuck winning the calls and play like a champ.
