Been a fan of Marc Bolan since 1971 - I think I'm more a fan now - I continue to buy music of all kinds but Marc was way ahead - his songs are brilliant on so many levels - thanks for posting this
Holy shit, this is the first I've come across this tune, and it is so badass, but so unlike the T.Rex I'm used to. Really great, though. And I've never heard him sing so low, he doesn't even use his trademark vibrato at all, which must have been a first for him.
So sad that he died like six months after the album came out. The man was chock-full of talent, and people were finally sitting up and taking notice of him again. Even sadder that he is practically unknown to most people.
@IAmPlaysWithSquirrel Yeah, I've only heard this track about twice before. It's different, but still T.Rex, and I love it! It really makes me sad about Marc's death and people not knowing who he is these days. If they do know who he is, they only know Get It On and I Love To Boogie. I like you, you have excellent things to say.
Just started exploring Marc's stuff... The music just won't let go. It's drug-like. Yet at the same time, some of his tracks sound almost embarassingly cheesy. Like, really bad. While others (this one for example) are effing brilliant. Can't believe how overlooked this guy was in the States... And how many bands he obviously influenced. Am I a T-Rex junkie in the making? :-)
i Soooooooooo think Marc was touching upon Goth when he left this world... dandy in the underworld is slightly dark along with his style and imagery... I love it ..totally ripped off by bands like Bauhaus (who covered telegram sam)and Siouxsie and the Banshees... Marc you will forever live on !
Marc Bolan was nearly all dreadful at this point in his career.

Yes. You probably are, and even the "cheesy" sounding songs are going to grow on you. There is no escaping now, and that is a good thing ;)
