How does the zune pass work? Can you just buy a card, like for iTunes and punch in a code? Or do you have to pay for it by using some other method? Everyone note that this phone is no longer carried by Verizon Wireless. It has been replaced by the KIN™ ONEm, which doesn't have a feed reader (the home screen with facebook, etc.). But it does have a calendar application.

PLEASE reply anyone if you know! Do you have to pay for the music still?...$14.99 a month? Because i wouldn't be able to do that, and i heard all other charges are now gone. Everything is free, including the phone. Is that true? :o

@RaCh3L521 The 14.99 is just the cost for Zune Pass which you can access over wi-fi (just the unlimited music). This is a completely separate cost from the phone and doesn't come with the phone...it's up to you if you want to buy it. You can upload your own music and just play it from the memory of the phone through the Zune player, however. Hope this helps!

For the same price per month you're paying, you may as well get a Droid. Hell, get an Incredible if you want to, they're both leaps and bounds better than this by FAR. That and you're going to be getting a LOT more out of the $30/mo you'll be paying.

Great review, Michael, you went really deep into the device. I see your point and I really agree that it does well enough what it is supposed to do. But I can´t see how it will be successfull with so many things against it. I really liked the UI, some great ideas. But I think it overcrowded such small screen. Maybe it is a better experience with the Kin Two. But I guess the whole point of the device is the same.
