thx for the tips we learned hands down slide a while ago. we are in progress of stand ups. some of us learned 180. i haven't yet. but we all can do speed check now even thou we can only do small/short speed check at lease it helps slow us down a bit going down hill
thx guys 4 the tips XD, yeah we have replaced the wheels to at least 81a now, got some helm and pads too, we pretty much set on hands down slide. right now we r in progress on speed check even thou we havent learn 180 yet
commit to the slide. take all the weight off your back foot and place most of it on your hand thats planted on the ground, also loosen your trucks...it will turn faster sending the wheels into a drift easier

Ever thought of gettin some speed first before going inot the slide? And wirh short boards try gettimg your foot more over the edge to push it better

high side + stinkbug = fail slides.
try grabbing begin your back leg....it will give you more control, less chance to highside as well.
have fun and skate smart, use a helmet
