It's really easy. PS3 is cheaper in online shit. But XBOX has a much easier gameplay. And most xbox games are, in fact, more professional. PS3 games are nicer, it's a fact. BUT they match up well.

As far as hardware goes, Xbox is a piece of shit. Console-wise, they're pretty square. Developers that take the time to whore-out everything the ps3 can offer make games with quality that make GoW3

Reason why ALEX infected HELLER:

Alex, noticing that the virus has NOT stopped evolving within his body, and that he is still changing(INTO THATGIANT MONSTER) infects James with the virus so that there will continue to be a "RUNNER" in NYZ. He also overwrites James' mind with parts of his own so that after his former body turns into that monster he can still continue normally as himself. He also imprints the need to destroy his formerself (the monster). Which is why James wants to kill him.
