when you paint them do you build the miniatures first and then paint or do you paint the pieces and then glue them together

@TheRealThang88 Usually I put them together first. But before I do so I prime them. It just depends on the accessibility of the miniature. If it's easy to reach all parts I put it together first and then paint it. If otherwise, I'll first paint it then put it together.

@TheRealThang88 It's spraying the model black with a black spraypaint. I find Games Workshop ones work great, I use them because I lack a better alternative. Anyone got a better choice of primer ??

I use to have over 1000 Warhammer 40k and Warhammer figures. I also have Horas Heracy set the original epic box. I also at one time had a emperial Titan . The one that looke dliek a castle.

That's not totally true. It's a fact that if you buy paints it will save you time, for else you would have to mix colours, but then there is the matter of actually painting the model ;). You could give me oil paints and the best canvas on earth, the most "Uber Brushes" and I still wouldn't be able to paint like picasso. You need practise, skill and patience.
