Industry leaders have realized that people need immediate income potential and have designed a new wave of compensation plans that put more focus on immediate weekly income. For example, my current company pays $300 for recruiting and getting a new agent off the ground while offering the best pricing available for a true necessity based product. MLM is very effective when structured right.

Some industry leaders have finally realized that people need IMMEDIATE income for their efforts. Most people are reasonable and patient, but they do need to make reasonable profits for their time and work. The other reality is that a company has to have a product or service (and effective pricing) that can stand on it's own without the opportunity. My current company accomplished that.

I agree that there are a lot of disadvantages associated with MLM.

I believe nowadays Internet Marketing is the way to go rather than MLM, no more selling to your family and friends or huge downline/uplines etc etc.

Instead reaching far more people effectively with the use of attraction marketing, here you give people a product that will actually benefit someone, not just an "opportunity".

That was cool. I really like how this story was handled.  If we have alot of inexperienced people try something difficult then the 98% failure rate makes sense. No one questions this with a traditional business. Including myself, we don't exercise logic and critical thinking. There is a lot of emotional hype and desperation that permeates these cheerleader rallies called meetings. The good news is that people are learning strategies that overcome these difficulties. Find a mentor.

The MLM has only 1 % from trading even in the economicaly strong counties such USA. It is about 10-15 % of the members, who stay active after one year from their first presentation meeting.
