  • Dood, mind=blown

  • i have seen them in the gelredome in the netherlands on 8 juni good band i like this very very much!!

  • something that every metalhead should understand is that metal , as every single thing in the world, is constantly changing, through time. when iron maiden came out everybody said ugh they suck , but they were accepted a few years later, thats life, everything changes, metal changes as well, there is always something new coming out and we have to be open minded about it, its like when thrash came out, some people loved it , some people didnt, but it became more popular , thats the way it goes

  • i am metal fan and this syle has allready ran its course. just my take. kinda stale, every singer in metal does this now, why, is it a way to cover up the fact that they really can t sing? i think avenged sevenfold did this ten years ago!

  • ┌П┐(◉_◉)┌П┐ to the 68 people that disliked! :D

  • I like Iron Maiden and I like Rise To Remain...simples ♥

  • WHY are the rest of Rise to Remain's music videos not available in the US?

  • his face don't looks like Bruce Dickinson..he looks like a young Steve Perry.. lol

  • Rise against + All That Remains?

  • @Haboobity No? Rise To Remain...

  • honestly fuck anyone who talks shit about this band they are sick the vocals are awesome and i think its cool that he continuing his father's legacy. I found this band because i was watching metal evolution they interviewed Dickinson he was wearing a rise to remain shirt i looked into it and see its his sons band.

reminds me of The Human Abstract (Nocturne will always be better than Digital Veil)

  • If the lead guitarist doesnt get nominated or at least win the guitarist of the year award that would be a fucking injustice. People like Syn, Petrucci have won it in the past...this guys technical skills onthe whole album is just beast

  • @A1phawolf Completely agreed, he is amazing.. He's my guitar teacher :D Im a lucky bastard :D

  • Some of the best riffs in metal history are simple as fuck. To me it's all about how good it sounds.

K.I.S.S - Keep it simple stupid.

  • They need more videos available in america!D: They are amazing!!D;

  • 1:38 To the Stage- Asking Alexandria? lol

  • going to see them in glasgow next month..can't wait!! :)

  • @allysimpson15 Me too!!! It'll be AMAZING!!!!

  • @FallingBrides indeed it will be!!

  • Going to see these guys next month :D

  • I wish people would stop comparing this band to Iron Maiden, I happen to love both and sure enough the vocalist happens to be Bruce's offspring and you can occasionally hear his fathers voice in his own(in the melodic parts of course) albeit at a slightly higher pitch but that's it for similarities.

Funnily enough I heard the vocal influences before I even knew who the vocalist was.

but yeah, they are two completely different bands and should be treated as such.

  • @12yearoldNFSMWDK Finally someone who agrees with me!! It doesnt matter who they are as long as the music is awesome

  • Geez almost a year this vid got uploaded already.

  • Finally been tabbed on guitar pro, and it's a toughie!

  • @IWatchedHerDrown I tabbed it ;D

  • @d1am0nd8 Oh snayp!

I wish I played guitar more

I'd actually be good if I did haha

  • my sense of music genre is all out of wack, did you guys say this is metalcore? see I listen to all types of metal, from iced earth to the acacia strain, iwrestledabearonce, wcwbt, cemetery rapist, ect... to me disturbed and slipknot is old slow classical easy listening music, this sounds like alternative to me. I am optimistic and lay back, I listen to everything, but my sense of genre is all outta wack, can't we just all call it metal for once instead of labeling it?

  • Why do so many people hate on this band just because he doesn't use his father's vocal style? I think it sounds pretty cool, the screaming reminds me of Phil Bozeman and the cleans remind me of BFMV and hint of his dad at times. They might be metalcore but they are putting out music of much higher quality in my opinion than the typical bands: Asking Alexandria, Attack Attack!, A Day To Remember...etc.

  • @RyanPlummer14

You're scraping the bottom of the barrel when comparing them to bands like Asking Alexandria.

For a Metalcore band, they're okay, yes. But that really isn't saying much, since Metalcore isn't exactly known for it's high standards and quality musicianship.

  • @WolfieboyMachi

That's because metalcore has ELEMENTS of metal, w/ mathy breakdowns.

And quite a lot of metal just uses power chords.

The most technically proficient aspect of metal is djent, Progressive Metal and Technical Death Metal.

Between the Buried and Me... I'm sure you've heard of them. They got elements of metalcore in their music along with Prog Metal and Heavy Metal. Funny thing is, their levels of musicianship are very high. Their album Colors proves it.

  • @ProgressiveMadness92

There's no type of Metal that use power chords exclusively. Some subgenres use it more than others, but one of the things that makes Metal Metal is the riffing.

Djent in itself is just a guitar tone, not a genre.

BtBaM has, like you say, elements of Metalcore in them. But they also have Prog and Heavy Metal elements. And its those elements that make them musically compelling. Not the core influences.

  • @WolfieboyMachi

    Of course.

    I know.

I know many don't consider "djent" to be a genre, but it did stem from the likes of Meshuggah.

I know. I like BTBAM for their proggie and heavy metal elements.

  • Am I the only one to think that these guys got some potential? I mean, most people didn't know what the fuck maiden was doing when they first came out. Just give RTR some time, they'll probably do well

  • i mean im a huge maiden fan, but maiden is not the only band i listen to. This band is pretty good and better than half of the shit now adays. People need to have an open mind when it comes to metal. There is nothing wrong with liking old school metal, to modern heavy metal, to metalcore, to pop punk, to deathmetal, to grunge, etc... you will have more fun if you keep an open mind.

  • just stfu and enjoy the music, fuckin embaressing generation.

  • People PLEASE. Stop comparing Austin to Bruce and vice versa. These guys and Iron Maiden are two totally different bands. You're basically comparing apples to oranges here. Continue to let Iron Maiden be living legends and let these guys, well, make music... Have I made myself clear?

  • This is basically what Bullet For My Valentine would sound like if they didn't suck. Radio friendly metalcore. Sucks that they have to be connected to Iron Maiden. Old metal nerds always get butt sensitive when somebody throws in a scream.

  • @Metalcortaku I like screams, melo death metal is fucking awesome... but this GARBAGE shames Bruce, I thought he might had the decency to NOT have his son make shitty music.

  • @Zeleii Oh come on, this is basically Melo death with catchy radio-friendly metal parts, breakdowns, and good singing. Catchier than half of the melodeth bands the internet seems to have a boner for. Can't force you to like something you don't, but I suspect this has more to do with some supposed lack of metal "credibility" than anything involving the actual music. They opened for Iron Maiden, so I doubt his father has a problem with his child making current metal.

  • @Metalcortaku THis is not melo death, melo death tends to favor more classical progressions, and this is NOT one of them. This is metalcore, period.

  • @Zeleii Metalcore jocks melodeath riffs all the time. Most metalcore bands sound like bad In Flames+mosh parts. And besides, you say metalcore like it's some sort of bad word and true metal fans would never listen to such an unclean genre. Of course it's metalcore. It's pretty good metalcore, at that. Nothing special, but quality riffage; the melodic parts are interesting and the br00tal parts are heavy.

  • @Metalcortaku And need I remind you, that In Flames sucks now.

  • @Zeleii You don't. Most melodeth bands are boring as fuck.

  • @Metalcortaku

Still more interesting than most metalcore, though.

  • @WolfieboyMachi Truth.

  • @Metalcortaku

    Between the Buried and Me...

    End of story.

  • @ProgressiveMadness92 Alaska=the only thing I listened to my sophomore year of college. The new albums are a tad proggie and boring imo (the ep was killer, though), but still def one of my favorite bands.

  • @Metalcortaku

    Yeah they went proggie.

Colors and The Great Misdirect are great albums, even though they sound dragged out.

Can't fault the technical proficiency though.

You heard of Protest the Hero?

  • @Metalcortaku

I see you seem to like Guthrie Govan.

He's one kick ass guitarist if you ask me.

  • @ProgressiveMadness92 Love Gunthrie Govan. And outside of just being a phenomenal player, he's interesting as fuck when he talks about guitar. He's one of the few fusion-y players I dig.

  • @Metalcortaku

    Oh yeah for sure.

I haven't seen him play live, but I have been quite privileged to see Paul Gilbert play.

  • @Zeleii You're a fucking idiot, shames Bruce? He's doing his own thing.. You think you can do better, then prove it. Twat.

  • @d1am0nd8 I'm sorry, his own thing? I wasn't aware follwing a stupid trend and making generic metalcore that sounds like almost every band out there especially on rise was "Doing his own thing"

  • @Zeleii Dude Idk....this isn't very generic metalcore to me. I mean, I hate most metalcore, being a technical death metal fan primarily, but this bros licks are tight, and I mean tight. Some real good musicianship here. It might just be the guitar that is swaying my opinion, and if so, I'm extremely biased. But I digress, I just don't see the stereotype here. They have a talented lead guitarist. Very uncommon for the genre. Atleast in my personal findings.

  • @TheSqualpat I also feel the vocalist Austin deserves some recognition, his voice endures well live..

  • @Zeleii I'm sorry, but they are different to say BFMV, one of the biggest metalcore bands out there, THEY are generic, you don't know fuck all.

  • @Metalcortaku faggot

  • @s3177000 lulz at ur butthurt, brah.

  • @Metalcortaku Just laughing at how musically inept you are bro, hows it feel to be clinically retarded? umadbro

  • @s3177000 Y U DISRESPECTING ME, BRO?!

  • @Metalcortaku Bullet for my Valentine is awesome, sir.

  • @xEndgameRA They have their fans. I'm certainly not one of them though.

  • @Metalcortaku You should check out Fei comodo and Never Means Maybe, there are other uk bands like this deserve way more exposure too!

  • This is better than just straight on continuous screaming and growling

  • I'm not against this band and its leader, but why his great father didn't teach him how to sing metal.

  • You guys know the entire genre/style is called Heavy Metal right?

  • this doesnt sound like any bands mixed.

It sounds kinda like... Rise to Remain!

  • lol trivium

  • Sweet, kinda like like a mix between August Burns Red and Bullet for My Valentine, just without the broing riffs and at times horrible vocals.

  • @Siimon204 don't forget trivium.

  • BRRA BRAA BRRR BRR RAWRRRRR... BRRRRR RAWRRR ROOOOORRRRR (whiney annoying singing) more BRRRROWWWWW BROOO BRRRRRRRRRRROARRRRR SATAN

  • @Alfonsofro yes. becuase we listen to heavy metal, it means we have anal sex with satan, whilst drowning dead babies. You sir are a cock.

  • @RICKYSMITH96

    WIN.

  • @Alfonsofro inb4 massive douchery

  • @Alfonsofro You are fucking retarded

  • Bruce Dickinson spauned a great vocalist.

  • I know I get kind of boring and comparing it with the father, but at 0:59 it reminds me of a well

  • if u listen closely u can here a little bit of his father voice

  • man stop comparing austin with his father, bruce style is very diferent from austin.

  • He is nothing compared to his father.

  • @PurpleHazePanda well no 1 would call metallica grunge metal but thats what they are yet every1 says they are jus heavy metal. An heavy metal doesnt have a certain sound, it has a varied sound for how diverse the genre is, an wot uv gotta remember is that even though there are loads of sub genres of metal none the less every band assossiated with it is a metal band

  • @SlashMitchell1994 I don't really care for genres but nobody calls Metallica "Grunge metal" you spastic.

  • @123412341234het the only reason no1 calls them grunge metal is because they are more commonly associated with thrash, an half the fans out there hardly know anythin about them. And also for one thing im not a spastic you immature waste of sperm, trying to win an argument by calling sum1 a name doesnt mean ur ryt. now sit back, listen to the band that u came here to listen and enjoy, cos enjoyin metal is all that matters, not the genre and sub genre.

  • @SlashMitchell1994 Whatevs spasmoid.

  • Who gives a shit what the genre it's called =/ It's fucking awesome !

  • Jizzing to the 'rah' at the beginning *.*

  • at last the vocalist will cut his hair just like the others metalcore singer.. :)

  • The thing is... Heavy Metal = Metalcore?

  • @jigetus92 Metalcore, thrash metal, power metal, speed metal, death metal, groove metal, sludge metal, progressive metal... = subgenres of heavy metal

  • Yessa

  • Our Metal is saved by mr. Dickinson Jr. \m/

  • @melizavazquez Correction.... The "New Wave of Metalcore"

  • Rise to remain complete my life.. literally.

  • You mean "traditional heavy metal", but I mean "modern heavy metal"

  • Since when this is heavy metal?

  • @jigetus92 metalcore is a subgenre of heavy metal

  • @cristian17vigo But it's not ''Heavy Metal''. Heavy Metal is Iron Maiden, White Wizzard, Cauldron, Enforcer ETC.

  • @PurpleHazePanda

guy, that is your ideal of heavy metal, and they will always be there. But bands will continue to be inspired by them, creating new "waves"

Music is about passion, keep it alive. that's all that matters.

  • @PurpleHazePanda actually if u checked it out bud they associate themselves in the genres of metalcore AND HEAVY METAL

  • @SlashMitchell1994 They may ASSOCIATE with it, Doesen't mean they are it. HEAVY METAL has a certain sound as does Metalcore and please NEVER call me Bud again. >.>

  • damn...this is good and stuff

  • LOVE THIS BAND, SO MUCH. Can't wait to see them in the US in 2012!

Love how they are melodic metalcore, almost as if they are keeping that melodic vibe from their fathers, Iron Maiden.

  • Comment removed

  • HE HAS DADDYS VOCAL RANGE hahah so fucking sick

  • @MrJami765 he seems like he has the capability of getting to bruce's level. even if he doesnt it wouldnt be fair comparing him, since bruce is one of the best metal singers ever. there's a lot of potential there as a band though

  • Rise to Remain could easily cash in on Iron Maiden's success but they don't. I respect them for that, they're slowly making a name for themselves rather than using Bruce Dickinson's fame to their advantage. Great band.

  • @SquintyEyedBoab yeah, good for them :)

  • I'm puking rainbows for this band. :3

  • sound like another bands emos emos . what happened

  • i don't care if he's the son of Bruce Dickinson, this band is just shitty generic metalcore

  • This is the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal:

    - Bullet For My Valentine

    - Rise To Remain

    - Evile

    - Sylosis

  • @cristian17vigo New Wave Of British Metalcore, you mean.

  • @CaioKNVD BFMV and Rise To Remain are metalcore, but Evile and Sylosis are thrash metal. Both are subgenres of the heavy metal ;)

  • @cristian17vigo haha i didn't know Evile and Sylosis are thrash metal bands

  • @CaioKNVD You should check them out, they are amazing too. Listen to these two songs:

    EVILE - Cult

    SYLOSIS - After Lifeless Year

  • @cristian17vigo for the record dude... BFMV is welsh

  • @McBrainJ and wales is part Britain u dumb fuck

  • @cristian17vigo Correction... the "NEW new Wave of British Heavy Metal"

  • @melizavazquez you're right

  • @cristian17vigo AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA No.

  • @cristian17vigo epic fail I'd say?

Those bands and especially RTR & BFMV are not! I say again, not, heavy metal bands (metalcore!).

And the true NWOBHM band is still Iron Maiden.

  • @666unnamedfreak666 Metalcore and thrash metal (Evile and Sylosis) are subgenres of heavy metal, dumbass!!! I mean, those bands are the new NWOBHM.

  • @666unnamedfreak666 You sound like one of those cunts who you can't talk to about music because your opinion always has to be right. Fuck genres. And fuck you genre wankers. My genres go 'Heavy, Heavier, Heaviest'. Get over it - stop being a cunt.

  • @hobobastard Mate, If you think that I hate on metalcore or death metal then you're seriously wrong. Maybe I didn't express myself good enough in my post but just to inform you, I listen to Metalcore, Death Metal, Hardcore, Heavy Metal etc etc...

I ain't hating on anything tbh just ain't calling RTR Heavy metal, but it isn't like I hurt your feeling did I?

Now please, respond in a nicer way next time no need to talk trash.

  • @cristian17vigo the new new wave of british heavy metal

  • @yaknowbratz please god no!!!

  • @yaknowbratz PLEASE NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO !!!! SUCH AN INSULT !!! THIS CAN NOT BE THE NEW WAVE OF NOTHING METAL... lol

  • @cristian17vigo new NEW wave ahahha new wave was ages ago

  • @cristian17vigo And OpposeMyDemise dude, they are sick

  • @cristian17vigo Heavy Metal ? UmadBro?

  • @puspi94 Ummm, I don't think so

  • @cristian17vigo The New Wave of British Metalcore

  • Comment removed

  • @cristian17vigo you now metal men...

  • Austin sounds nothing like his dad. If i was bruce i would beat him up. This is nothing like iron maiden.

  • @MrJoeTsunami he wouldn't beat him up because it's his son idiot, he's going to support him no matter what he does. That's what good fathers do, from your opinion i'd say that you didn't have that privilege.

  • @12nightmare34 i was kidding about beating him up... and about that privilege... u 're very wrong. i'm just saying that when your dad is a metal legend, let that inspire u and try to be like him...

  • @MrJoeTsunami Yeah.... it's waaaay better than the last, what, 5, 6 Iron Maiden albuns. The boys is talented!

  • @MrJoeTsunami Why does he have to sound like him? I bet Bruce fully supports him and the band even if he didn't like the genre just because he is his son.

  • Hey i don't want to spam anyone, but it woul'd be awesome if you could spend 3-4 minutes of your time and check out this young metalcore band from Switzerland called Save Your Last Breath.

    watch?v=fZTsXKQQE6M

I'm really thankful for everyone who clicks on that link.

    Peace Out :D

  • he took his father metal career a bit further

  • O________O This is AMAZING! Juanxxxmetal...Why?

  • damn gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooood

  • @OHmygodXoBil3 well, your right but what i meant is that he has talent even do hes bruce's son, and well its your desition whether to like it or not

  • Saw them live in September and seeing them again cant fucking wait :D

  • very gay metal

  • @juanxxxmetal Haters gonna hate

  • @juanxxxmetal *KILL YOURSELF*

  • Hot hot hot people<3

  • Oh great another shitty metalcore band...

  • @woweasyguides wtf?

  • @woweasyguides did you know iron maiden's vocalist son is the vocalist from this band?-.-

  • @99AArroyo Yes... point?

  • @99AArroyo

Just because he's bruce dickinson's son doesn't make him a legend, he sounds like any other generic metalcore vocalist. band is decent, but pretty generic imo

  • I love his voice, but the music is pretty generic

  • The son of Bruce.... playing generic metal?

  • @theonewhoknowthetrut Well when according to everyone everything is generic can you complain? "lawlzit'sgeneric. it sounds like some other bands I can't like it. must. be. hipster."

  • I like how even though this group is one of the hardest metal, (lets not have an argument about genre) bands, they don't dress like complete emos, (black veil brides for example).

  • @braders790 but Bradz black veil brides are awesome, it dosent matter what they dress like :P

  • I didn't like his clean vocals, but his screams are awesome.

  • He sings like an angel!

  • Kerrang! got me into these and I fucking love them

  • They sound a lot like All That Remains and Machine Head. I'm digging these guys, especially the vocalist!
