@stephanievalderrama Aloe vera is great for burns, you can add it right to your lip balm recipe. Also, coconut butter has natural SPF in it, about an 8, i believe. but if you want an SPF you can add zinc oxide.
Great tutorial thanks! For an ultra natural lip balm, or if you don't have pigments, you could use a small amount of beetroot juice to tint the lip balm :-)

The top of the sweet almond oil bottle is actually a dripper, so you dont need to extract out... just turn it upside down and you'll get drip by drip :)

@ASCAntonio I will make a video on this topic for you! Thanks. In short, the SB foundation looks like real skin and is a little bit moist/dewy in appearance. The Dinair is a bit more heavy-duty, full coverage and it sticks to the skin immediately. It gives a solid, matte finish. Both are really exceptional. Just an issue of preference I guess :D
but Michael, i guess you need to add preservatives to your lip balm. otherwise it would develop bacteria in a month. in summer it would spoil after two weeks.. i' ve always been attracted to idea of making diy cosmetics, but unfortunatelly i have no time to learn it.. god only knows where to get those "surfactants, emulsifiers, etc" here in germany.. so when adding a preservative to the lip balm to make it last about 4 months, which one should i get and in which proportion?

@MsSunglassesGirl The mango butter is important for the consistency...but you can supplement another cosmetic grade oil product that is solid at room temperature (perhaps shea butter). I have not tried the mixture without mango butter, even though I have made around 15 versions of this balm. Maybe you can get mango butter on eBay for cheap. do you think it's ok to put coconut butter in instead of mango butter? I want to make an organic lip balm, but I can't find any organic mango butter that is reasonably priced in my area.

@MsSunglassesGirl The mango butter is important for the consistency...but you can supplement another cosmetic grade oil product that is solid at room temperature (perhaps shea butter). I have not tried the mixture without mango butter, even though I have made around 15 versions of this balm. Maybe you can get mango butter on eBay for cheap. The city is right on the Marina (of course) and there is a lot of fishing, but it is mostly for tourism or for boat enthusiasts who live in Los Angeles to cruise around on weekends. actually I bought yesterday the lip balm from chanel, I thinkt it's great. So if ur lazy to do your "do it yourself mix", u can buy it, it works great. they use shea butter instead of vaseline. This product beats la prairie, la mer and sisley, although they are okay, too:)
