  • it sounds like he said at 6 10 kobe bryant in the beginning!

  • 0:31 - 0:36 WHAT SORCERY IS THIS?

  • i use to always say to myself because im a kobe fan that lebron might of been better in high school just because he did the between the legs in a game this is my first time seeing kobe do damm hes the man

  • damn, kobe was a skinny fuck before.

  • Between the legs way before LeBron was doing it in HS on ESPN!!

  • high school games are rare?

  • lol imagine if he didnt even play varsity

  • not between the legs mr bryant

  • I mean these guys were playing literally the laziest defense I've seen in my life.

  • 1:17 ref wearing shorts

  • @ntbhsg is that ur first time seeing ref wearing shorts or something? lol

  • @MrFPSken

yea he was good the sixers were suppose to draft him plus a whole lot of teams never got a chance to look at him before the draft basicly the p.a. area teams like sixers and the lakers. even the sixers gm said he was gunna draft kobe, kobe used to practice with philly before the draft.

  • that was awsome!!!!!!!

  • There is no way,on gods green earth that kobe was better tan lebron an highschool!yu don't know shit about bball if you sayin that!

  • why is he not the 1st pick? :(

  • @topex12312 coz his skill level around the age of 18-21 wasnt as good.. he had high potential though

  • @MrFPSken he was good. look at his 1st game in a laker uniform.

  • it's a classic

  • If i was KOBE i would have my own t.v. show. Wit the laker girls.....

  • What is this beat from I've heard it off a song before? Can someone tell me what it is that would be great

  • guys what's the original song from this beat??

  • my uncle went to that same school in philly

  • man no one in the crowd is even moving oO

  • you will notice that the song is keep on repeating

  • kobe bryant is the best there is

  • silky smoooooooth

  • dddeeeeeaaaaaaayyyyyyyyuuummmmm!

  • I like how he's trying to make a name for himself, not trying to be a Michael Jordan. Look where he's at now.

  • who would of thought 5 championships later

  • how can he not be the #1 draft pick. Bunch of idiots

  • @sharkl11 He was picked where he was for reason. He wasn't a lebron in high school. HE wasn't as good and didn't get as much attention because he was just another real good highschool player going into the league. At the time most of the picks before him made perfect sense. No one knew he was gonna be what he is today.

  • @tchris2725 actually he broke scoring record of kareem in high school, was sensational and is considered one of the very top high school playrs of all time

  • @tchris2725 ...He Was Always More Skilled Than Lebron Even In High School...The Biggest Difference Then & Even Now Was Always Lebron's Size & Speed That Allowed Him To Truck Over Defenders & Finish Plays...Although He Doesn't Finish Too Well Nowdays...In High School, It Was Almost Automatic For Him To Be Able To Do Whatever To Those Players...Haha

  • @sharkl11 and rookie of the year.

  • @sharkl11 cuz he was gunna get traded to the lakers anyways :p

  • @sharkl11 cause A.I was in the picture then.

  • @sharkl11 He was only 17 they didnt think he had gotten all his skills yet But they know now

  • @sharkl11 easy... cos of A.I. aka Allan Iverson

  • @sharkl11 If you a nba gm you wouldn't have. Picking an 18 year kid out of high school is pretty damn risky. Kobe just happened to be a legend

  • @sharkl11 cauz he was outta highschool u dumb FUCK!@

  • @sharkl11 if he would of been a center he would of went 1

  • @sharkl11 because he went straight to the nba thats how good he is!

  • so which ones kobe?

  • 16 years old here right? GOSH DAMN he's scary good...

  • Any one else noticed he's wearing the number of one of the greatest lakers ever? Now look where he is.

  • they are all so tall but not that buff, i mean there muscular and ripped but werent packed especially there leg, its like as skinny or skinnier than there upper body.

  • he actually looks good at basketball unlike lebron whos just athletic and huge

  • i love frutiy pebbles !

  • WHERE DA THE INSTANT REPLY

  • @24chickenbutt he can't take the king at the age he is now! i ant omeone to tell me the last time the laker beat Lebron and his team, otherwise shut up!

  • i didn't know hoopmixtape made videos in the 90's jk

  • he started his ballhogging early, nigga

  • what track is this

  • lebron would of killed him in highschool

  • AWSAME

  • Looks kinda stiff...when he was young..

  • kobes the one scorin all the points?

  • kobe sucks

  • kobe is sick, but PISTOL PETE IS THE GREATEST BALL PLAYER EVER. I WELCOME YOUR HATTING COMMENTS ON THIS!

  • @magnapillow stu nobody cares

  • @magnapillow stfu nobody cares

  • Lamest

    Crowd

    Ever

  • didn't he do this every high school game?

  • He actually passed ?!?!

  • Heard that kid didn't even play college ball...

  • LeBron traveled to watch Kobe play in this game.

  • the website gymratmidnightmadness is hacked

  • Damn...Kobe had GOAT NBA skills in high school. Its like his game never changed.

  • @magnific82 I was about to type the same thing. His game never really changed at all. That's why the only SG in history i'd take over him is MJ,other then him, nobody's on Kobe's level.

  • @blackricktheruler Jerry West arguably still has a better legacy than Kobe

  • @seanymandx no

  • @TEHtaytay What do you mean no? Jerry West averaged 27, 6, 7 shooting 47% from the field.

  • @seanymandx did ferry west score 81 points, no didn't think so

  • @NBAseasonmix So? Does that make David Thompson one of the GOAT?

  • @seanymandx David Thompson scored 73 points 1978, kobe scored 81 points 2006 it's harder to score 2006 then 1978, i mean David Thompson could never have scored 73 points in 2006 at the same age as he was in 1978, just saying because no one is ever going to score 81 points at this century.

  • @NBAseasonmix Your kidding right? It was easier to score? Since the rule changes in 2005 that allow no handchecking It's allowed more offense and less defense to be worked into the game. Plus he was playing the Raptors, I repeat, the Raptors.

  • @tchris2725 hand checking still goes on ALL THE TIME dumbass! they don't call it at all like you are assuming so stfu

  • @seanymandx Despite having his career averages skewed by a lack of playing time early in his career, Kobe is still statistically better than West with a career PER of 23.5 to West's 22.9

Kobe has won five championship rings already. Despite having either Elgin Baylor or Wilt Chamberlain on his team throughout his career, West only ever won one ring as a player.

I'm not even a fan of Kobe but you have to give respect where it's due. Do more research before you make silly statements like that.

  • @TEHtaytay Kobe is a great player. One of GOAT. But Kobe averages 25, 5, and 5 throughout his career on 45% shooting vs West's 27, 6, and 7 on 47%. Championships have little to do with how great of a player an individual is. If we are comparing player using PER, Wade is better than Kobe. I can definitely see why u would put Kobe over West but I still have to say West is still the 2nd best SG in NBA History while Kobe a close 3rd.

  • @seanymandx you can't give me a stats based argument in favour of West when if Kobe's PER is still higher. That makes no sense. You are only giving me three stats, PER is the best rating we have of overall statistical prowess and Kobe is better.

Kobe is statistically better (so is Wade). He also happens to have 4 more championship rings, which are one of the biggest factors in comparing the legacies of players, particularly when doing so across different eras.

    Give up.

  • @TEHtaytay 3's, Steals and Blocks werent recorded back in those days. Just look at the stat line. If you just go by statistics, West is superior to Kobe and thats a fact. PER doesnt tell the whole story

  • @seanymandx yeah and Wilt Chamberlain was better than MJ (same team as West by the way) he averaged 30, 23 and 4.5 to MJ's terrible 30, 6 and 5.

Whichever way you try and spin the stats, Kobe is better than Jerry. Go and look at some articles by top sports writers on top all-time players,

  • @TEHtaytay Part 1

Michael is greater than Wilt statistically. Michael has a higher PPG(Has higher all time as well), 10 scoring titles(wow), 6 Finals MVP's, 5 MVP's, 10 First Team, 9 First Team Defense, with a stat line of 30.1, 6, and 5 on 50% shooting(TS% at 57%) and also has more scoring records than Wilt. Wilt has a 7 Scoring titles, 1 Finals MVP, 4 MVP's, 7 First Team, 11 Rebounding Titles(wow), 2 First Team Defense, with stat line 30.1, 23, and 4 on 54% Shooting(TS% 55%).

  • @TEHtaytay Part 2:

Jerry West has 1 scoring title, 1 Finals MVP, 0 MVP's(Wilt and Russell too good), 10 First Team, 4 First Team Defense(Wasnt Recorded till 69, and retired in 74) with a stat line 27, 6, and 7 on 47.4%(TS% 55% no 3's) Also stepped up a lot in the PO. Kobe has 2 scoring titles, 2 Finals MVP's, 1 MVP, 9 First Team, 9 First Team Defense(This is complete BS BTW), with a stat line 25, 5, and 5 on 45% shooting(TS% 55%) but goes south in PO. Very Close+Kobe will probably with better

  • @seanymandx and 4 more rings

  • @TEHtaytay Rings? He's only lead his team twice in the championship. On top of that, Kobe has only had one year where he played well at least average in the Finals out of 7 tries(Nets)

  • @seanymandx Now we could argue that one for days, lls.

  • what happened to this kid, I've never heard of him since

  • Jordan at age 17 wasn't all-american. hell Jordan at age 16 was cut from his high school team. lol Kobe's been sick for a long time... Kareem Abdul-Jabbar type shit.

  • @lakeroyalty Jordan was cut because he was deemed too short (5'11'') to play at that level, not because he sucked. As a senior, he was averaging a triple-double: 29.2 points, 11.6 rebounds, and 10.1 assists!!

  • @Kingjulez1201 hey why dont you calm down i was messing around haha

  • rare video of kobe passing the ball =)

  • wow. His number in high school was 32. His first number in the NBA was 8 . And then 24. If you add them thats 32. Interestinggg...... ^.^

  • @bowenike he wore number 8 in the NBA, because his number in a summer league was 341 or somethingg.

  • @bowenike his number in highschool was actually 44, this was a one game thingggg

  • He went between the legs in a game!

  • He had alot of young Jordan moves in his game on this highlight reel..especially at 0:31.

  • in-game between the legs dunk! awesome!

  • the thing i like about kobe is that hes not that good...but hes still better then everyone else, and he just beats people...idk if that makes sense but thats how i feel! kobe is a sick guy

  • now i see why dude didn't go to college

  • This kid is alright what ever happened to him

  • @Offensiveguard65 lol good call :D

  • @Offensiveguard65 oh i think he went on to the NBA and became the best player in his era and is still playing...he has 5 rings...

  • @Offensiveguard65 He started playing with pros and now has 5 rings

  • @Offensiveguard65 It was the fro. lol

  • @Offensiveguard65 oh he went and got 5 rings.

  • he passed the ball 200 times better at this age then he does now

  • i think this guy is good that he is going to be just like kobe :)

  • the crowds are like "psh... he does that in his sleep"

  • not so rare, now that it has 115 thousand views...

  • wow was he dominant. and who dunks at 0:14?

  • @L0ubr0n I'm not very sure, It might be Jermaine Griffin /watch?v=eV9Ho9QoJhI

  • Kobe knew he was going to be a star...just nobody else knew.

  • well its not so rare anymore

  • kobe is killing these highschool kids... imagine if he was to come bak n play these guys now.... :(

  • these guys are wack in basketball!

    not kobe but

my schools opponents look way harder than this

  • imagine this man didnt know he was going to be a nba star

  • @DanielAmos412 he went from high school to the nba, and he's always been kinda cocky, he probably knew he was gonna be a star since like 9th grade lol

  • @DanielAmos412 Nah Kobe already knew at that age he was going to be great, we didn't though ...

  • lol well was pretty much an nba player ;]

  • - thumbs up if all of the shots kobe took is contested (:

  • im guessing 14 people are lebron fans

  • money shorts on the ref at 1:17

  • It doesn't look like there playing D to hard

  • WOW the big time MJ wanna be when he was only a little MJ wanna be he needs to hop off MJ's nuts

  • @Thebrothersfolife

Ignorance is bliss... Everyone who plays bball idolizes MJ...

  • @Thebrothersfolife You make it sound like a bad thing that he is the only man who is worthy of comparison to MJ's skill set. The fact that you call him an MJ wanna be clearly shows that you believe that much to be true. I'm not even a Black Mamba fan but you just come off as a bitter hater.

  • @greatestxgift LOL I AM a bitter hater jk but I'm tired of seeing this guy taking all of MJ's moves and on top of that he makes them look ugly

  • @Thebrothersfolife lmao hes way more smoother and skilled then mj sorry just fact and on top of that he has more moves

  • @thug8200 Kobe has the ugliest moves, no body control, he only uses like 1 move and that's the fadeaway when he is wide open, as for more skilled just because he can do fancy ass dribbles doesn't make him more skilled. Not smooth, not very skilled, not enough moves. fail

  • @Thebrothersfolife are you smokin crack or suckin mjs dick cus you are out of your mind

  • @thug8200 how am i out of my mind? prove it to me.(this will be hilarious)

  • @Thebrothersfolife kobes handleing is better shot is better moves way smoother footwork better passing better mj is a better defender off ball and a better rebounder and slasher thats it

  • @thug8200 Kobe averaged more turnovers than MJ, Kobe never even shot 50%, MJ averaged more assists than Kobe. you have no argument.

  • @Thebrothersfolife I'D REALLY LIKE FOR THE NBA TO DISTINGUISH SHOOTING AND FEILDGOAL PERCENTAGES THEN YOU WOULD SEE THE DIFFERENCE KOBE IS A BETTER SHOOTER THEN MJ EVER WAS MJ LIVED 15 AND DOWN SO 50% MEANS NOTHING OK SHAQ SHOT 58% CAREER IS HE BETTER SHOOTER THEN MJ OR KOBE HELL NO SO DONT MISTAKE THE 2

  • @thug8200 lol r u mad? Michael Jordan from 89-03 had a long range game he could have shot 3s but he didn't he slashed and when the other team started double teaming him he would pass off for an assist. Michael LIVED 20 feet and down. do some research. Shooting and field goal percentage go hand in hand. Your argument is failing here.

  • @Thebrothersfolife no its not compare mjs shooting percentage or lebrons shooting percentage to people who take alot of jumpshots like ray allen kobe or reggie miller take away slashing and you will understand what im talking about i gurantee kobe miller and allen all still shoot in the 40s while mj is low 40s and lebron 30s

  • song sounds like willie hutch from the 36 mafia sample i choose you by project pat which was given to ugk and outkast

  • @Gmase15 yeah it's.

  • This is when he wasn't selfish yet

  • @DionNL95 this wasn't when he had Kwame Brown and smuch parker as part of his starting 5

  • SONG -INSTRUMENTAL ??????

  • lol... in the beggining I was watching for number 24

  • Smooth. Young Kobe could take a game over.

  • wasn't kobe # 24 in high school? i thought that's why he changed from 8 to 24, to be in his old high school number. the video shows him as 32

  • @bobthepirate911 he also wore 33...he's worn several numbers in hs...

  • i guess you could travel in this league too nice lol

  • to easy

  • underrated !!

  • 13 celtics fans disliked this

  • @ballinboss23 WTF? You r fucking stupid !

  • Kobe has skill. Lebron has athleticism.

  • that first pass was a lil too nice

  • you can see so much of shamgod wells handle in early kobe its crazy, its almost like watching god shamgod.

  • fuck kobe

  • @TheEaglesfanindc fuck u stop hating

  • that move he does at :32 is so natural ..

  • Comment removed

  • @TheRalpheb haha rofl... shaq and gasol have rings... kobe sucked without gasol.... barely made the playoffs. Lebron had no one on his team and his team had best record in nba... i am not a lebron fan either.

  • @Lolercopterz Lebron had better people on his team than when Kobe had no one.

  • @Lolercopterz gasol sucked without kobe, and kobe dropped 81 without gasol, besides shaq always had penny, kobe, or d-wade

  • @alfonzolamar kobe without shaq or gasol=nothing. gasol DID have a higher efficiency rating in the 2010 finals which the celtics won but the horrible refs killed. (celtics woulda won by 4-6 points if they would have officiated correctly instead of catering to kobe as he choked in front of millions in his home court game 7 in the most watched finals since 98 jazz vs bulls). and dropping 81 points is easy when the refs won't let u play defense without blowing the whistle against a horrible team.

  • @alfonzolamar the vast majority of kobes high scoring games have been against horrible losing record opponents, and plenty of his points came from free throws. kobe's also set the record for lowest fg% for having at least X amount of points (at least 40 or 50 i think). kobe simply hogs the ball to try and artificially gain fame. he's very overrated and has been getting tons of bandwagon hoppers. players like tmac and iverson were both better than kobe in their primes. kobe just has an amazing

  • @alfonzolamar has an amazing team. and no, kobe is not near lebron. kobe just got to start out on the lakers as a top pick because he was traded, if kobe was stuck on the hornets he would have just been another vince carter, with less hops and maybe slightly better 3s (though carter has a franchise record for 3pters as well). i know alot of shit about basketball. and right now we have jordan as the best of all time, with lebron far ahead of the rest (3rd all time ppg behind wilt/jordan).

  • @alfonzolamar and in case your wondering. rings are a testament to a TEAM winning. in order to get a ring your team has to be very very stacked, be it the 80s 90s or even 2000s, its the fucking nba. you don't get by with a weak supporting cast. and kobe has had the strongest supporting cast other than the celtics and the current heat, since the 90s bulls. people don't realize that shit and just follow hype. alot of players could take kobes place and the lakers would just improve.

  • @jonnieos As if you could be any more biased defending your teammate?

Antawn Jamison, Mo Wiliams, Daniel Gibson, JJ Hickson, Delonte West.. He didn't have a "star" studded line up, but NO way can you say he didn't have enough help.

  • @zephah give me some numbers to prove lebron didn't have to contribute as much as kobe. i already stated black and white that lebron accounted for 48% of their offense last year which dwarfed what ANYONE else did for their team. kobe is included in the anyone category. i'm pretty sure your argument was lost before you started it, i'm notsure what your getting at. the lakers have a much better lineup than the cavs if u subtract kobe and lebron from them, no way around it.
