thank you. in the text book for my printshop class it said there was cmyk and rgb but never explained why one is used for one thing over the other. and my teacher kinda hates rgb. mainly because its more work on him to get things printing corectly.
Hello, although my English is very bad very bad very bad, something I could understand, well I wonder if this can be applied to the printing and if you have this excellent material in written form to be able to translate and understand more. because I left little doubt as. Which is better rgb or cmyk?
Agradesco you in advance for sharing your knowledge ...
Mmm... i see thanks for answer my coment im 16 years old and i study graphic design so... im very interested in this topics if possible I'll be looking forward to videos subtitled in Spanish thank you...
Oh... Sorry The video is very interesting... and very ilustrating... But... im Mexican and my English is very Basic... im sure that many Latinos are interested in this information (My english is very bad.... Sorry...) so im apreciate so much a subtitled version o better a version in espanish.... Thank you...
@tovarsin - I don't speak Spanish and couldn't make a clear translation. I am willing to add a Spanish Subtitle Set but don't have any way to make the translation. If someone is willing to do it let me know.
CMYK are the inks they use to make the full range of colors. They also have CMYKOP (adding orange and purple) or CMYKLtCLtM (adding light cyan and light magenta) to expand the gamut of colors that they can print. When printing on paper you are starting from white and adding inks to darken that white to whatever color you want. The exact opposite is the case on a TV screen where you start with Black and add Red Green and Blue light to make it lighter.
Thanks for your encouragement! :) Yes, there are at least 6 more planned but there is always room for more. If you have any suggestions please let me know.
very helpful and clear

Thanks for the great video. I would love to see the color balance video! One question, why do they print in CMYK in the first place?

Excellent video, it was very informative. This will help me avoid costly print production problems in the future. Will there be more?
