  • Terrific!

  • P. Glass is the most important music composer of the second half ot the XX siecle.

  • Perfect music from a modern classical and contemporary music genious for a perfect movie with amazing performances and screenplay...

  • @shadowtriber666 Thank you so much for uploading this!!!

  • @HallOfMandos ur very welcome :)

  • Knew Philip Glass made the OST for this - Download the movie right away.

  • 7 Members of The Imperial Family didn't like this!

  • Bom Filme, Linda Música.

  • It's... too... SHORT!

  • QUE BUENA PELICULA Y EL TEMA MEJOR

  • One of my favourite movie scores. This film was made for Glass to score

  • Someone has got to use this soundtrack for a Jack the Ripper Movie...

  • i would really like to see Philip Glass and Michael Nyman composing together

  • @Jojangamer13 a dream come true

  • @Jojangamer13 a dream come true or a nightmare, depending upon a listener's point of view :-)

  • Bravo Philip Glass - Music tremendous

  • Damn it! Is there some one who know where I can get the notes?

  • the music really makes this movie

  • w.o.n.d.e.r.f.u.l.

    מלחין ממוצא יהודי.

  • wieder einmal Gändehausfeeling... Glass&Zimmer... Mozart&Beethoven von heute...

  • @Cerax83 no they are not. if mozart and beethoven would get fully blind and deaf and suffer from brain damage, perhaps then would be like glass&zimmer.

  • @GrauenausderTiefe Beethoven was fully deaf, wasn't he, by the end? Didn't seem to hold him back :)

  • GLASS RULES!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @ 0:04 seconds I was like yep that's Philip Glass

  • I totally forgot Philip Glass did the score to this film..Amazing music once again Mr. Glass!

  • HEIL HERR Enselheim , Copperfield, houdini, Angier, All SUCK IT :: AHAHAHA

  • Thank you for posting this,,,, I was in ' the business' for years. There are no great movies with crappy music ,,,, but here are crappy movies that DO have great music. The Illusionist has great music and is a better movie for it !

  • it's all a trick the ending was da bomb...

  • @bigvandave it's such a good movie, i had no idea it was a trick until the end.

  • I was happy to see this movie after seeing the Prestige, because I ended up enjoying it so much more.

  • It's a good movie. Shame it came out at the same time as The Prestige, which is several orders of magnitude better still and thus, kind of diminished its limelight. Great score though.

  • When I watched the movie I was 100% sure Philip Glass did the soundtrack. Now I'm 100% excited that I was right!

  • this gives me goosebumps :)

outstanding score in an underrated movie

  • Love this movie and this song

  • This is one of my favourite films, and Glass' hypnotic score is part of the reason i fell in love with it

  • I need to marry his music.

  • Philip Glass is a genius. Just sayin.

  • I never knew the illusionist learnt RASENGAN!!!!

  • Totally underrated movie, great soundtrack story line and cast

  • @kushumaki - I loved this movie - interesting color background from a time period ..

and story line with clever dialogue.. This is what I call interesting movie with questionable "outcome!"

  • lovely song, i like it!

  • love this, blue stars did this for their closer in 2010

  • OMG HE WROTE SUMTHIN THATS NOT SO MINIMALIST AHHHHHHHHHHHHH IM SOOOOOOOOOOO HAPPY !!!!! =D

  • Philip Glass has changed my viewpoint on music.. Dramatically. Emotions unlock musics potential.

  • VERY GOOD I AM FROM TURKEY

  • @gokgokgok1000 fuck off turk durk

  • @gokgokgok1000 You must be pretty good with mashed potatoes and stuffing.

  • first time i saw the movie when this music start to play in the main titles i got paralyzed thinking to myself "this movie will be brutal" and he was , great soundtrack

  • ahh i love this! exceedingly much so!

  • This is gorgeous. It so beautiful and mysterious. It literally takes my breath away.

  • I love this theme! Slightly minimalist, but not to much... (or else it would be a little bit boring to a soundtrack ;D)

  • hermosa musica . beautiful music.

  • Mystical... I adore this piece.

  • Incredible that Philip Glass was never awarded the Oscar for any of his wonderful movie music. It doesn't matter. I hope for him it's enough our admiration.

  • The movie was bad... if you thought it was good obviously you haven't seen The Prestige. It was a FARRR better magician movie. No but in all seriousness this music is awesome!

  • @shadowtriber666 Thank you for posting this and I love the wounderful Gothic tone with a hint of mozart in the music by Phillip Glass.

  • @dfdfgjn shitty flamey comment

  • @dfdfgjn your mom is shitty gothic music

  • @dfdfgjn Your mom is just shitty.

  • @dfdfgjn just by your username i can tell all you do is find videos and post shit like that.

  • @MasonOnPiano agreed. You wonder where they come from,lol... Who would speak like that? (dcfhdn)

  • @dfdfgjn Go fuck yourself you butt raping shitface! This is GOOD music.

  • wow, today I was in a masterclass with him ate são paulo(brasil), he is a funny guy! the musics that he compose are great, they have everything to do with image

  • Glass is absolute

  • MOST amazing life experience>>>he is a genius.................this just states what he is worth & an a amazing person in our life

  • The finish from the prestige was more predictaible (what other possibility than twins was there?) but the movie on itself had more twists than the illustionist (to me ). However, the illustionist had an ending I less expected. I didn't thought of it as such a 'twist ending'movie, since the story did not seem to be going too much into that direction. However, great music!

  • @PowerRedBull cheers for ruining the ending to The Prestige ...

  • @1337prohax

Hey dude, I'm sorry. Didnt think of that. Most people here were discussion the diffrences, well, like which one is better and stuff..so i guessed people saw both of them since they're years old

  • The Music is what makes the movie!!!

  • I love this movie, it was so well done, and beautiful. I disagree with everybody saying the music is better however, I think the movie was absolutely amazing. The music is really great too, but to me, I see it as 'completing' the movie perfectly.

  • thats a beautiful song *0*

  • your a twit who doesn't listen then

  • Glass is one of the best composers of the late 20th and early 21st centuries.

  • Found the movie to be as the soundtrack, brilliant!

  • I love this music AND the movie...

    AND Edward Norton <3

  • Great movie, great music.

  • i think the prestige was good but the music for the illusionist was so much better!

  • This great movie was made even better by Philip Glass's hypnotic and enchanting music.

  • I Think, the music is better then movie visual.

  • i love this movie and soundtrack, it sounds so mysterious xD

  • i love edward norton,he is very charismatic and he has such a special voice.the movie was great too

  • the prestige was better but this was good nonetheless

  • yeah, they made a TERRIBLE mistake showing this movie in theaters soon after the prestige....come on in "the prestige" there's Davis fuckin Bowie!!! who can beat David Bowie!!!

  • i 've watched the movie 3 or 4 times

every single one of them i think that is a wonderful piece of art

every time i wonder how all these tricks are done and i wait to find out the truth

this music perfectly fits with the movie

    it expresses all these feelings

    one of my favourites ever

  • in traghetto da barcellona a minorca avrò sentito questo pezzo 50 volte almeno :)... cmq vale la pena risentirlo ;)

  • Love it. Pretty much of Philip Glass' work is excellent!

  • bellissimo pezzo, meraviglioso anche il film!

  • glass can do better.

  • ok sure

  • I saw the movie without realizing that Glass did the music. Now I want to see it again.

  • lol watch it

  • @Fuliginosus - i feel exactly the same!

  • @Fuliginosus I knew it was Glass as soon as the music started.

  • @Crucifuck good job.

  • @Fuliginosus

same for me :) The movie was catching, the score was greatly enhancing. I'll have to check for the less obvious things in the soundtrack now

  • @Fuliginosus Thats impressive. I mean, Glass' music is very recognisable. Whenever I hear it, I understand that its him, and, if Im with other people, I always make the "smart" guy! LOL.

  • @Fuliginosus How could you not realise it was Glass? You can tell his music a mile away.

  • @Fuliginosus

I heard the music in the preview and made a mental note to tell a friend. We knew the movie had to be good with Glass doing the score.

  • Hauntingly beautiful

  • cuz ur mom is crap :)

  • @cantavoidtrite he breaks his scouter... ;-)

  • Great Movie with great music!

    Love it!

  • the prestige was totally better movie, still luv Philip glass tho

  • I feel like the Prestige was a completely different kind of movie, and two movies involving magicians were unfortunately released very close to each other. I enjoyed both immensely in their own right, and The Illusionist particularly for its fabulous music.

  • Yep, I totally agree. very similar, and good, but incomparable... both fighting the good fight together.

  • @AislinKageno i must admit the illusionist is a better all round film to the pristige.. but i do belive with you that they sort of conpeted with one and other

  • Different from Phillip Glasses' earlier works, but beautiful nevertheless.

I enjoyed the Prestige and The Illusionist equally, btw. This was also the first movie I ever saw with Edward Norton in it.

  • My castle, the Freudenstein Castle, was used in this movie. I think Glass is magic.

  • Philip Glass is the master!

  • Beautiful music!!!!!

  • this smokes.

    i love majestic severity.

  • Really Great sound, I love it

  • ah, i love that movie and the music :)

  • One of the best scores ever!!! Really amazing melody and also the whole movie!!! Thank you very much!

  • The Prestige is much better, but I prefer the score from this movie

  • I'm speechless ... very moving

  • OOh, gives me the shivers. Beautiful music.

  • Nice theme, love Philip Glass' music (L)

  • Good!!! Im from México!!!!!!

  • I love that movie!

  • la mejor pelicula...grandioso

  • the best movie yes!

  • whoa! I just studied Philip Glass today in Music History class! I didn't know he wrote music for this movie as well as Watchmen! WOW!

  • PHILIP GLASS IN WATCHMEN?!!!!! im going to do some research.

  • They sampled him. He wrote the music for Koyaanisqatsi, a quasi-documentary cult classic from the 80's. It was actually a very good movie, mostly because of his haunting score. When they made Watchmen, they used parts of that score, especially in flashback scenes.

  • Thanks for the info i now know a little more about him.

  • Not really, they used his music brilliantly in the trailers and thats about it. Watchmen's score was lost with cheesy/cliché 80s hits.

  • Check out his scores for other films: Truman Show- The Hours (fantastic) - Notes on a Scandal.

You may also like Michael Nyman's score for The Piano.

  • this is like the best song i've ever heard

  • you bet it is.
