@leiabeia09 The cruddy economy and poor sales made Ford shut down production of the '08 Bullitt early, then finish the limited amount of 7,700 as '09 models. They are essentially the same car.

yes it does, I don't have any drone. I had a 07 Mustang GT that would drone at 2000 rpm.

Just bolted them on my 2029 Bullitt ,that's all! I had a friend that had a set of beat up FRPP axle-backs that I could try out for awhile. By the end of the day I went to the local Ford dealer and bought a new set for myself. After I installed my new set of Stingers I went to the park and made this video for YouTube. The following year I installed a set of FRPP shorties, that made the sound a little deeper and a little bit louder :)

In the spring I will have a set of Hot Rod cams and 4.10's installed and CMDP, UDP and the Ford racing 62mm throttle body done as well.

My end goal is 325 RWHP. That is equal to the 60's top muscle cars.

Everyone tells me that my bullitt is probably the loudest street legal around.. they cackle just a tab when its cold but after she warms up.... F****** AMAZING SOUND!!! I didn't change my mid pipe to a X or a H pipe. My Bullitt is stock except for the Ford Racing axle-backs. Since this video I have a set of Ford Racing Shorty Header installed. The car sound a lot better. It seems to have more low end torque

FRPP Stingers AKA Borla stingers..pretty much the same muffler only has Ford Racing embossed on the muffler... I replaced mine with these and also BBK O/R X and I have noticed a gain in power..my friends LS1 firebird noticed it too as the first time we raced he won but the next time I did...lol

Man that sounds good. I just picked up my Mustang yesterday, a 2005. I want to get a deepr sound but don't wnat that dreaded drone that I've been reading about. I had a 07 mustang gt and I had to go with the Slp X-Pipe to get rid of the drone. I all so installed a set of longtube headers. I had lost my low tone , but it did sound tough!

I belong to a couple bullitt clubs and no one in out club has complained of wheel hop

My number was M-523005-GT. I think that number is pretty close! Make sure that they are the STINGER type muffler,not the flat oval type. The exhaust passes only once through.

Maybe. The off-road pipe is what CAUSES the trumpet/drone. Goes from sounding like old-school muscle to sounding like an off-shore powerboat.

The H-pipe that is in these cars is special design to give it that 1968 390 sound . If I change my H-pipe my Stang would sound like a run of the mill Mustang GT

yeah I realized that yesterday while searching for more info on it! I Heard some rumors of it having Independent but found out it's gonna be the same set up as the Bullitt, which IMO is not bad. But still "LIVE AXLE" sounds Geriatric! I wish aftermarket companies would offer an Independent set up for it though, but that might cost a mint!

Yes, "live axle" sounds kinda ancient but don't worry. Unless you're doing some competitve driving, you probably won't notice the difference. Its a little jumpy in bumpy turns but that just makes you drive more skillfully.Many people claim they need an independent rear when really they need it to compensate for poor driving skill.Plus as you mentioned,it costs more.The live axle in the new Mustang is still pretty decent and has garnered many champoinships for Ford. Try the Bullitt and you'll see
