The funny thing is that this band is neither from the 70's or from the UK. Glass Hammer got their start in the 90's and they are from Chattanooga, Tennessee. One of my all time favorite bands!
Can't see (or hear) it, Mr E. Apeing your influences is hardly progress. Note, I didn't say it wasn't good - it just comes over a little too similar in a relative way. Even in excellence and virtuosity there are degrees of deflection.
@doedelie I'd say that this owes more to Keith Emerson, Rick Wakeman and a touch of Kerry Livgren when he was on keys instead of guitar. How does it compare to DT without a single hint of shred guitar?
Ersatz Greenslade with Pallas sauce. Far too much latterday "prog" hasn't moved forward at all. Nothing WRONG with this, but it's just so bloody familiar.
@Kwinquark1 Actually, that IS the point of Prog. Progressive Rock is as much about excellence in the craft of performing as it is about expanding musical frontiers.

Pretty cool. But it sounds like Dream Theater with a bunch of cheese if you ask me.

A lot of bands are called "underrated," and it's usually for good reason.
