@TonyG Yep.. It was really amazing.. I lost a hundred lbs. in a few months and it was actually good.. Anyways, I think you got the diet name mispelled, its WeightLossAction.Info..
Doesn't it seem odd that we evolved on animal products and now these nutritionists are say we need to cut back on it? Our genetics haven't changed. They are smarter than evolution?....hmmmm I smell money and agriculture.
there are many debates surrounding the weight loss and diet, it makes people obese difficult, but easy to maintain human health must comply with diet and exercise. no path success easy, eat food grapes healthy and exercising regularly will help you a lot
@NVOLIKOS Actually there is and I have. Just toss the bun, toss the ketchup, throw some cheddar cheese, mayo and mustard on there with some bacon, wrap it in lettuce and go. I've lost 6.5 lbs just this past week. Do some research on the low-carb way of eating and the history of the nutrition scandal that has run rampant for the past 60 years.
OMG, that nutritionist lady pisses me off. Try going out in the non agricultural wild to find the amount of grains and vegetables she eats every day. I'm sure the land would be more than happy to give her straight extra virgin olive oil and beagles and pasta, since it's so natural. WTF is wrong with her. She doesn't even contribute to the video at all. She basically says the exact opposite is good because I said so.
What many of the less intelligent critics fail to remember is that fruit is seasonal and largely unavailable for most of the year. Also, saying that Atkins is no good because when you come off it you put the weight back on is as moronic as saying that you shouldn't quit smoking because if u start again the health risks return.
I got fat eating carbohydrates and lost weight eating carbohydrates. Traditionally in China, most people were never fat despite eating carbohydrate rich foods like rice, except emperors who enjoyed plenty of food and remained sedentary most of the time. So I know for a fact that people can be lean even while eating carbohydrates. It's how much someone uses up the energy versus how much eaten. In historic China, people walked and worked A LOT. For me, I biked a lot and ate somewhat less.
@sabby123456789 - My marathon running brother had a heat attack on carbs, and never gained weight on carbs. He always lead a healthy lifestyle promoted by people like the nutritionist lady in the video. This is not just about chubbiness, and high carb diets are extremely unhealthy. It's much more complicated than eat 1500 calories, spend 2000 calories. I recommend watching "Fat Head" as a starting point to do research from.
Thank you for your concern. However in my family, meat is the cause of high cholesterol. My auntie and grandma eat the most meat and have high cholesterol. My vegetarian uncle is obese and eats large quantities of carbohydrates from grains. No doubt its causing him to be obese, but every time he gets his lipid profiling, his cholesterol level and triglycerides are well within the normal range.
My uncle's brother in law consumed carbohydrates on a daily basis at home with normal cholesterol levels. After spending some time in Denmark, where he ate considerably less carbohydrates and more meat like shrimp and lamp meat soup, he was stunned to see that his cholesterol level hit 500 upon returning home. After taking cholesterol lowering medication for a few months, his levels receded and he is now eating what he usually eats: rice and noodles and limited meat without taking medicine
@sabby123456789 Carbohydrates combined with cholesterol raises small dense cholesterol levels (the bad cholesterol.) Cholesterol by itself won't impact your cholesterol levels. Carbohydrates by themselves (which would pretty much only occur in a vegan diet) wouldn't raise your cholesterol levels either. But combining those two together is a recipe for disaster.
Inuits who eat virtually ZERO carbs and only eat meat don't suffer from high cholesterol lol.
I am very sorry to hear what happened to your brother. But was there any study/exam done exclusively on him that showed that the amount of carbohydrates he consumed turned out to be the dominant cause of his heart attack?
@sabby123456789 - His heart attack was actually more of a mystery. He wasn't predisposed to have one. I need to continue researching nutrition. I really can't say right off the bat what's good or bad. Eating so much of the bottom of the food pyramid is pretty unnatural, but unnatural doesn't necessarily mean bad, only questionable. Our bodies might not have evolved for agriculture. Again, these are just suppositions, upon which I will do some research on, to find the truth.
@sabby123456789 GI of rice is much lower than bread. Not to mention, rice has less phytic acid, lectins, omega-6s and no gluten. It's also much more rich in protein.
And Asians in general have a diet richer in vegetables and fish than most people nowadays.
@Nefus1988 People always state that we were made to eat grains; It is confusing, because I wonder what we ate before agriculture, hmm. I smell money involved with the determination that grains are healthy.
@ppd8472 First, we ate starches and vegetables! Second, starches and grains powered great empire throughout history from Alexander and the Greats to Genghis Khan and the Mongols. The money is in Wonder Beard and bagels and donuts! The health is in whole grains, brown flour, and no bagels!
@ShadowLink108 Well, I would have to disagree. I am in no denial that grains played a part in the empires of those you mentioned. But what about our ancestors 50,000 years ago? We evolved in an environment that most likely included meat, vegetables and fruit a lot less sweet than our modern fruit. Agriculture has really only been around for roughly 10,000 years; the mantra that grains are healthy is definitely hallow as a precept for good health. I'm not purporting any particular diet though.
Do you get your health advice from a fashion magazine?
Stop being a sheep and PLEASE do your research.
How can whole grains possibly be healthy with the abnormally high omega-6 content, abnormally high phytic acid content, high lectin content and gluten? It's poison, not food.
I might as well be taking drugs. At least with drugs I'd feel better than if I was eating grains.
@Nefus1988 But there are a lot of anthropology that shows grains fueled the world's most powerful empires from Genghis Khan and the Mongols and Alexander The Great and the Greek army. Chinese and Japanese eat a lot of rice, that food for Samurai, Shaolin Monks, and Ninjas! Get out to the library more!
@MadForColors First, our ancestors were caveman who lived to about 25 at best because of terrible conditions, high-protein diet diseases, and low-energy! Second, the most successful empires eat starches and grains! Only the useless rich ate high-protein diets became mummies with heart disease and rotten teeth! Rice is the food for Samurai and Ninjas!
@ShadowLink108 I was sure they lived 'till the age of 25 (Questionable fact?) because humans are physically inferior to other wild animals and kinda lived in caves with no protection against weather and diseases except for fire and sticks. But what do I know?
Fact is, Japanese eat fish and pork as well. (GASP!) Also there are countries (Holland and Norway) where they eat protein and have very little heart disease. While in Chile they don't eat much protein and have high heart disease rate.
Saturated fat is natural and so is animal products. When we stopped eating that she is claiming to be the reason for obesity we got bigger and bigger. The more fatscared the country is the fatter is the population, while in France were the population is still very thin they eat alot of food wich contains alot of fat.
@Bobby25ification um? the whole point of the diet is to reach ketosis. a state where ur body prefers burning fat over carbs. so fat can be consumed in great quanitities without gaining fat
@badmudda Ketosis eats at our padding and storage organs. We had fat to protect our organs and pad shocks and torsion. Eating away at fat is dangerous to bone health, kidneys, and your brain! You need carbohydrates to run properly. The carbs that caused weight gain are simple, like Wonder Bread and sodas! Fruits are not evil! Second, starches are the carbs that proved hunger cessation and high quality energy!
@ShadowLink108 so for 100,000+ years were humans didnt eat starches and grains on a regular basis and were fine in fact in some senses healthier then we are now, they were actually hurting themselves?....
I have a story to tell I discovered the atkins diet by coincidence. I was fat and i would eat donuts and sugary food with no limit. once i decided to never again eat donuts or foods that contain sugar, I also knew that bread and tortillas weren't good for you so I also stopped eating them. Well all I ate for the whole day was chicken and guess what i lost 100 lbs in 8 months.
lots of people tried to sell this kind of diet...what made Atkins successful is that he got aggressive with people to break through people's food addiction
Personal finance guru, Dave Ramsey is successful similiarly. Dave's wealth plan is simple and everyone knows that it would work; however, Dave has to call people's behavior foolish, selfish, stupid, etc. to break through people's self-destructive beliefs.

The sweets you buy at the store are certainly bad... but you can make your own low-carb hot chocolate with unsweetened cocoa.

It's sad how people have been brainwashed into thinking that grains are essential in the diet when they simply aren't even natural for us to eat.
