these videos always tell interesting stories but the problem i always end up having with them is that in gensokyo, youkai magicians are human magicians that reached a point in which they became immortal and did not require sustenance hence becoming youkai magicians. and it is something ALL powerful magicians eventually achieve. i think it's safe too assume that marisa is powerful enough to reach that point.

I've read elsewhere that the story could be this synopsis: Marisa knows that she is human and that Alic will outlive her. So she decides to read up on how she could change that and finds a book about putting their souls into dolls. She needs other peoples "souls" or has to sacrafice them to have the spell work. Does it fail? Well...honestly the video does not explain it exactly but I'm guessing it failed....

I don't know, here's some theories:

-She was looking at a magic chart, so maybe she's preparing sacrifices to resurrect Mima, her master

-Marisa did state that she was already insane in Imperishable Night, which is why the red moon (which drives humans insane in seconds) did not affect her

-Marisa decided to become An Hero, and went out in a blaze of glory before killing herself. Dying with her signature grin on her face, no less!
