Hey,could you tell me how easy the knobs are to return, especially the tuning knob? I don't know if you are familiar with the Pres Lincoln CB radio, I would like to know if the tuning knob is similar in resistance to the one on the Lincoln, or whether it is like a normal CB. The reason I ask is because I am disabled and find turning knobs quite difficult, I have no problem with the Lincoln tuning knob, thanks very much. 73 Penn

@PennG0VQY i use to own a president hr2600 which is the same as a lincoln 2510 basically. the big knob you use to change the frequency up and down is almost identical to the one on the lincoln. it functions the same way. it moves easier then a normal cb knob does. if it doesn't work out for you, you could use the up down keys on the microphone and on the front display of the radio (also much like the lincoln radio)

hi ive looked it up on cbtricks they dont have the mod info on non of the rci radios except for the texas ranger line thats the only mod infos they have i do have a book on mods i am not sure if it has the rci 2950 or the 2970 radios it does have info on some galaxy radio s few others i will check defrom and see what info they have on the 2950 and 2970 line

@bluejay148 i cannot. mine does not have a jumper block, he modified it another way. look it up on the defpom cb mods site or cbtricks.com

if you are buying your radio from a shop just have them do the mod

oh yeah is the mod that you take two resistors out to do the mod for the expanion for the channels

@bluejay148 it comes with this black plastic plug you plug into a port inside the radio and the mod is complete.

99% of the time who ever sells you the radio (radio shop or what ever) they take it out completely and do a transistor mod for the sake of being inspected by the fcc
