@eventfularse my friend after effects is not comparable to final cut, rather to apples "motion" witch is part of apples final cut studio. compare adopt premiere pro with final cut pro and its a draw, if u would have ever seen them side by side u would know what i am talking about. but compare final cut studio with adobes creative suite 5 final cut wins by miles just because the workflow is so much faster and better. I should know i have worked with both.

well the biggest minus of Windows is it's registry, MAC OS X don't have it, it have some sort of ini files, if they are deleted, they renew automatically, if registry is deleted, then you need to reinstall the whole OS, plus registry will make you more junk than you can ever imagine.. But MAC and PC, are all the same in most case, but great minus of MAC now is that it's new processor series are incompatible with windows OS and many WIndows based programs..The market will be won by Windows..again

The thing about Apple's hardware is that you get it's full potential, they chose hardware that cooperates fully and you'll get about 95% of it's full potential while if you chose an i7 cpu, a Radeon 6700 series, some DDR3 ram from kingston and top that off with Windows 7 you get about 65% of it's full potential. (If you're using the latest drivers)

@VProdnomnomnom not quite true, look at the macbook air. the macbook air is 1149 which indeed has a dual core with 2 GB of memory however it does have an SSD, is ultra portable and will be way quicker than you $570 PC (not with hardcore tasks but just with web browsing, viewing pictures or a movie what so ever it will do way better than your PC)

Windows 7 can't even do folder networking right, it crashes explorer on all of our, and our clients machines.
Windows 98 wasn't shit, though -- in fact, for the time, it was better than Mac OS.

Oh, and LOL at using Either Explorer or Internet Explorer. The only advantage that IE has is over Safari, and that's basically security. Otherwise, it's slow, and anyone that uses it...well....yeah, they shouldn't.

Mac's are user friendly trendy computers. I used a Macintosh and it's iMovie program to make a film for a school project. I was behind because 2/3 times I had to start it twice and the IMovie shortcut never worked so I had to navigate through the awful hard drive display.

i have a pimped out windows (pc is just a term) for gaming and rendering. i have a macbookpro so i can browse websites and type up documents really quickly and efficiently

To be honest these MAC vs PC commercials are all a bit ridiculous.
Both Macs and PCs can get viruses sometimes.
Both Macs and PCs crash occasionally.
Macs and PCs run about the same speed.
PCs can be tweaked easily... overclocking, switching out parts, etc.
Macs can't be tweaked easily, but they look more clean and are slightly easier to work with.
The big difference is that PCs cost less for the same processing power. This won't show up in stores, but online you'll really see the difference.

@VProdnomnomnom Agreed, but you have to take in mind that Mac OS X is faster than Windows 7, but that doesn't matter as much as the processing speed if your a video-gamer....
The bad things about Macs is the lack of choice....

pc is known for getting viruses quite often,unless you buy the latest virus protecter and up grade often about every six mouths.apple computers get them,just very rare.never spent a cent buying virus protection.iv had pc's before & mac is just so much faster.dont need to live in beverly hills to get one.the money u put into your pc adds up in the long run. so what really is more?i did my math.

186 people care more about having a stylish computer than they do getting their moneys worth. if I could afford a mac I'd get a PC with the power to smoke any mac at the same price. my $400 PC smokes the $400 apple product and when brand new had the exace same specs as a $1000 mac. but I guess mac user is the new evolution of Yuppies and DINKs.

@Regenerationvideos no, its not always the well every side has it's pros and cons. PC's can do everything macs can do, sometimes worse with a free download, sometimes better with $10 software. Mac's are user friendly trendy computers. I used a Macintosh and it's iMovie program to make a film for a school project. I was behind because 2/3 times I had to start it twice and the IMovie shortcut never worked so I had to navigate through the awful hard drive display.
