how do i make it so that the blade sticks when i try to stab something(not a person). so the latch that holds it in place an doesnt just slip out of place? and do you think you could help me think of a way to make it so i can just pull on a string twice instead ofhaveing to push the latch back in. because if i had to push it back in it defeats the purpose of having the blade be a true OTF it would just be a regular dime-a-dozen drawer slider hidden blade. i wanna FEEL like an assassin.
I had found one error in the dimensions of the Ts. In the instructions, it says that both Ts are of equal width. However one T is slightly larger than the other in your model. I'm not critisizing, I just figured you would like to know that.
By the way, for anyone else reading the comment, I'm talking about the link in the description.
salve, per caso ne potresti fare uno simile e vendermelo per favore??? dimmi se vuoi qualcosa, spese di sped o altro ... la mia e-mail: doom10@live.it
figured that a OTF automatic knife would work cause of its design but im sure you guys have seen IXNAYxxx design looks like the parts could be made your selfs with a dermal and it seems that ammnra's design runs of the same make up
@gunsandbeyond It uses a pulley mechanism (I have a video of it on my channel) with an arm connected to it, this arm pushed what JmetalJ calls the slider/switch, so as the pulley rotates 180 degrees, it will push the switch backwards and forwards activating the mechanism, check my video out for a better understanding :)
could you replace the plastic blade with a steel one or any other light weight metals? would the blade's time of deployment and retraction would be affected if this was done so?
I e-mailed you and i just wanted to ask a couple of questions about some of the measurements and the in groves on the switch and side pieces how far they are away from certain points and would you consider selling me one cause ive tried and it hasnt turned out so well?
This is the best hidden blade video on youtube, it actually works... But, if you could make just one string, not full metal. It would be the most perfect hidden blade on earth!
1) I never said that I could mace a better one (I couldn't even make one)
2) It works nothing like the one from the , it has a string rapped around one of the fingers when pulled in a certain way the blade comes out and when pulled in another certain way it goes back in.
I think that it's great but i'm just saying that it doesn't work like the one in the game. I do agree though that it is the best one one YouTube but like you said it would be better if it were fully metal also it's a bit big for a hidden blade, it wouldn't be very hidden.
@ACULimoncelli10 Metal would make it a lot heavier.. Making it a little smaller is possible, but you sure can hide it well, btw. Im trying to make a hidden blade that is on the top of the arm. Like the one on "the smuggler" in AC Brotherhood multiplayer.
Can you hear the blade move inside the housing while you are moving? Also, can you change the materials from plastic to steel for a longer lasting blade? I do not intend to use this for deadly purposes. only a fanatic and id love to have a blade replica to show my friends lol.
that is a fantastic creation you have there. It is the closest thing I could find to the actual game blade, as far as extension and retraction. The only request I have is to find a way to make the switch in the hand so as you wouldn't have to reach over every time. have you put any thought to that?

For it to work better as a wrist blade, the system on the switch should be more like the spring and lock on a ball-point-pen. Meaning that one pull locks the switch into upper position and another pull releases it, making the blade retract.
@ jmetalj can you please make a video of the action with out the cover or the blade on it cause ive watched this like 3 times and looked at the plans and i still have no idea how the spring mech works :P
If i were to make this out of acrylic sheets instead of a piece of PVC from a computer board, would it be able to withstand the force of the blade coming out and then retracting back in. Also what do you think if i used 1/8 inch thick sheets what the minimum square inches will be necessary to make all the parts, i want to get a 12 x 12 inch sheet but i don't know if i will be able to get all of the parts.

I understand this, what i dont understand is, how you keep the T or the blade itself to not getting forward when you push it to make spring strech.
In other design the latch also hold the blade, so the blade has a notch, i dont see in this one.
