Well you have to get what you can get at the time. I managed to phone a mate not far from there while I was still in the air. He came around promptly and took about 70 high speed shots. No video on them as yet. Ian.
Nice, Did the eagle follow or seem interested. I did a cularis glider flight and had 3 ducks flying in a row alongside and quacking like mad. That was fun. Still trying to get that on video
Hi there. Eagles can be moody. Most of the time they are friendly but at certain times of the year (nesting time perhaps) they will attack. On the day of the video they were reasonably friendly, although there were times when they decided to chase me. You can tell their mood swings by watching the video when the sequences change. On one occasion, not in the video, I hovered my glider, allowing one of the eagles to creep up behind me ever so tentatively, then it bit my wing. Ian.
the Ricochet still going, fantastic. It was the one to have on the slope when i was still in school in the early 80's. I'm inspired to get back into it and see southern sailplanes are still going .
Yes, the Rico is still going. They are still manufactured but on a much reduced scale nowadays. Check out my website where there is more on the Rico and other slope soaring happenings. Ian.

Nice. For me, this is what the hobby is all about. Also, in my opinion, the best videos are made with still shots, well edited. Thumbs Up!
