Hey can anyone answer me what age is 'the best' for doing hair removal? I'm 21 now and I noticed a lot of hair is starting to grow on my shoulder and on my chest area, what I'm trying to ask is; is it smart to do removal now or should I wait a couple more years to get all my fur lol. I don't want to remove a lot of hair and then get new hair, that would suck..
A doctor told me that you can get skin cancer from laser hair remover because it can burn the root of your hair so is that right?? anyone help me please
This does work. I'm very hairy naturally, too and I've had my back & shoulders completely lasered off, with no regrowth, (after 6 sessions). I'm now working on my chest and abs. You need to make sure the tech doesn't turn up the laser too much for the first couple of sessions until you get used to it. Also, your skin will have a lousy looking rash on it for a week or two after, but it does work, but only if you have regular to light skin, and dark hair. Dark skinned people cannot do this.
@Nick153452 : It takes 8-10 treatments then touch up spotting sessions 2-3 times a years since the body can and will produce new hair .It is a progressive thing.
ive had this done twice, it is unimaginable pain, the pain will shock you and it wont feel right... its been a few years now and i dont notice much if any difference!!!
No it does not hurt, due to the chilling cold marble stone applied before and after. Also the laser is a NDYag long pulse laser with a wavelength that is not absorbed by the skin, just the hair. Visit the male beauty forum site for a more clear explanation.
@nikeshocksshocks don't listen to these people...it's all marketing...i had my chest done...the pain was excruciating...it cost thousands of dollars and took about 8 sessions to get even decent results...in their ads, they make it seem like it is painless and quick...not even close...total waste of money...waxing is more effective...i spent housands and endured so much pain, and now almost all that hair has grown back...don't fall for that shit...find a chick who digs body hair
@nikeshocksshocks by now you must have tried it :P anyway ... if its power is set to higher volume for better results you will hurt... if its in lower volume you wont feel much pain ... also if you hit the neck , it will hurt according with hitting your back or your leg
Everyone should stop being racist and a little bit more loving to one another. Imagine a world like that. A world where we don't go out of our way to insult people because we are filled with anger and rage and depression and feelings of helplessness consume us.
I totally agree here with you! you should listen to this guy.. we only live one time! let us live with people around us who loves us and not go around and insulting and being racist and haters!
excuse me.....for your information....theres a lot of americans who teaches english here...coz they are not paid well in there homeland...simple logic is needed...your citizens needed our money.and we can provide them a greener pasture... we are not the poorest country...ur referring to North Korea..or maybe u don't know the difference of North and SOuth....u better study world history before commenting....whose MORON now????i think its u...Monkey1111

I had laser treatment at my doctor's office several years ago. It takes several treatments but it has worked and is permanent. Electrolysis also works but takes more time. It doesn't hurt anymore than laser. The advantage is that you can do one hair at a time, so you could change a hairline for instance, or make a hair finer without killing it, because each time you zap a hair it comes back weaker until it finally won't regrow. Laser will not work on blonde or white hair.
The laser might provide instantly visible results but beware, from numerous examples of anecdotal evidence, it to be a total scam which 1) can ultimately leave you hairier (thickens soft vellus hairs), and 2) the long term effects are unknown.
The ONLY thing that will work without any long term harmful effects (if done properly) and with permanence is electrolysis (ideally, by the blend method). It's tedious, hurts a bit, but is ultimately cheaper and more effective than anything else.
I've had electrolysis (it hurt like hell and all my hair came back) I've had it about 30 times. Then, I decided to get laser. It worked about 40% or so. The healthier you are the more your hair will come back. I went out and purchased one of those epilator hair removals (gentle gold) and such. It hurts at first, but after a while it's tolerable and your hair truly does get very weak and soft. It won't grow back for about 2weeks to 4 months.
Which method? Straight electrolysis takes minutes per hair, and thermolysis, while quick, is not very effective. If your results were that bad on the "blend" method, I would assume your electrologist wasn't very good, or you're trying to remove hairs so fine, that shaving would be more idea. I'd be very surprised if you had the blend done by a skilled electrologist and not get good results (but there is that rare group who just don't respond well).
why dose it have to be so much .. i have to much hair on my body for my age ... if i had the chance i whould love to kill myself :( frig im only 16 :@
get the laser hair removal and if you dont have the money..talk to your parents how you really feel..and go to the gym to get fit... run a lot and do bench press...and youll be looking good in no time.
just get waxed. it isn't permanent - but NEITHER IS LASER....LASER IS A HOAX !!! RARELY, does anyone have good results. the only proponents you will hear are those who make a living off this, or those who haven't seen it all grow back. SAVE YOUR MONEY !!!
You obviously don't know a thing about Laser Hair Removal. Most people who say Laser Hair Removal doesn't work are people that don't understand the stages of hair growth and why you must stay compliant to scheduled treatments!! Waxing is so old school!!
You keep going for your laser hair removal, and we'll talk again 3 months from your last treatment. I've had 8 treatments over the coarse of over a year and there's been absolutely no permanent hair reduction whatsoever.
SAVE YOUR MONEY ! Tried this for years, spent thousands on what was supposed to be this state of the art system. Pure crap. You may seem some slight diminishing ...but it's not worth it. It's a racket to keep you coming back in and spending money. Just wax...it's cheaper....and just think of it like regular grooming....like getting your haircut. Can't believe they let an industry get by with this.
2. u werent treated with a laser machine. it could've been some "concentrated beam of light" machine which actually gives u one heck of a diffrerence in the result u get comparing to the laser machine itself.
3. u werent a good candidate (skin color/ hair combo) or u got tanned during treatments.
even the individual posting this video calls it "a sort of progressive continuing form of permanent waxing". good lord. RIP OFF. Customers will give a good review at first...but then WAIT and see it all grow back in a few months. I was a good candidate with a god technician...state of the art equipment. THE INDUSTRY IS A SHAM.
This individual is right! Laser treatment for hair removal is bullshit. I'm the "perfect candidate," have had 8 treatments and I'm hairy as ever. Laser hair removal is not for permanent hair removal, rather, it only stunts the regrowth of hair.
I heard laser only kills 1/4 of the hair roughly and just lightens all the thick hairs. Tell me if u keep doing laser wouldnt u eventually have no hair?
Yes you would eventually have no hair for now,if the body produces new hair roots those would have to be treated with touch up treatments later.Since laser is a sort of progressive continuing form of permanent waxing.
I regret to hear you did not have good results ,lasers are just tools ,how effective they are depends on the technicien using them. They also only kill roots growing hair now ,the body may and will produce new hairs that will have to be treated at that later date resulting in it being a progressive... ie numerous treatment thing.A form of expensive waxing .

@malebeautyforum And each session costs like how much money? If it costs like more than 200 dollars, that would not be worth it.

Hello -
I am in the US.
I looked into what was cutting edge electrolysis in the US in the mid 1990's.
The co was Lucy Peters - I shyed away because I was told it would take up to 18 mo.
I regret not doing it. I still wax and I get more hair w age.
So, please explain how electrolysis is different from laser?
What is most efficient? QUICKEST?
Do I need to let it grow between treatments?
DoctorSapperstein 1 year ago
@DoctorSapperstein I read somewhere that a test between the two in turkey found that laser hair removal was 60 times faster and efficient.
