  • I find it a bit much that everyone needs surgery these days to look better but i guess hard work is too much for some people. Cant people just stop eating loads without having surgery? Poor country's are not full of obese people and that tells me its not a desease or illness its eating too much food and being lazy

  • I am so glad to hear it does come back, and doesn't take forever. I had been told by others theirs didn't start growing back for a couple of years. It's getting pretty thin, it's now obvious in the front.

  • Yeah! My hair is getting so thin. :( I think I may have to cut it, it was thin to begin with!

  • Don't worry it will come back! I have more hair now than I know what to do with..lol. Peace!~

  • I'm 3 1/2 months out and loss hair like crazy. I've been told it will grow back, I just hope I'm not totally bald by then and it doesn't take more then a year to come back. I may be buying a wig.

  • I would say it took about 4 or 5 months of my hair thinning before it started growing back. It WILL come back.

  • Feel free to stop by our channel or to call the program. What you're dealing with is TE and it will grow back in most cases...hang in there:)

  • I just started getting hair loss and I had the surgery 4 months ago. I am so nervous cause i think my hair is really a asset to me. I actually cried! I am gonna try that silica complex stuff. I hope it works.

  • Don't worry, your going to lose more, but it will ALL COME BACK... TRUST ME!! Nothing much you can do except to eat your protiens and take your vitamins. Best wishes.

  • It's called starving. Sorry you guys...I wish I could have gotten a hold of you all before you mutilated your bodies. I dropped 180 pounds in two years with diet and exercise and I am now a PT. I pray for you all.

  • LOL... Well it wasn't an option. I don't get my kicks from being cut. This surgery was serious. I had tried everything prior.

  • I had gastric surgery also and had the thinning hair. I had hair down to my waist and got it cut short. One suggestion if you don't want to cut your hair, find a beautician that would add extensions to help fill in for you maybe? Good luck

  • I just recently had a hair cut and it is fairly short than what I am used to. I couldn't stand it anymore. Thanks!

  • I wish you the best of luck, don't get discouraged about it. Just keep up your protein, and vitamins. I get my vitamins from GNC store. I buy the powder protein mix chocolate flavor from there also. For something different i mix it pour it in a cup and freeze it, then eat it like ice cream.

  • I lost most of my hair as well, I am over a year out and its STILL thin and growing in slow.. however you can do things which will help you. One, make sure you take your supplements and biotin. There are pure protein drinks out there you can take that have 42 grams.. you need to aim for like 80 MIN a day. Good luck :)

  • My goodness, I need to do another hair video to show y'all how much more I have lost. I am chugging down those protein drinks! Oh well. I have thryoid problems that will add to this. Peace and thanks!

  • l think your beautiful reguardless but yes blonde will look good for you,you should do it:)

  • OMG.. you know something? I did go blonde, and it is toooooo blonde now!! I will make a video soon:D

  • hey sweetie, I had really bad hair loss almost Bald and they found out I wasn't getting the right Vitamins so please get checked and tested!

  • Hi there, OH NO ALMOST BALD??? I guess I better make an apt with my surgeon. It is a bit of a trip to go see him. Maybe I could call and they can prescribe a better protein supplement. Thanks!!

  • yeah It was so thin you could see my entire scalp.. soon as I got better vitamins bam now I have hair that I am growing to cut for TJ lol

  • Oh my. Kinda scary. But you said it WILL grow back, right? How long does this normally last? Good luck too you. ~Bekki

  • Not sure how long it will last, but lots say it will come back. I would assume as soon as we are able to get in enough protiens on a regular basis?

  • You look beautiful and I doubt anyone would notice

  • Awee thanks!

  • OMG! You need some more protein and potassium (banana's)! Are you using any protein replacements like New Whey (25 or 42gm's) or Worlwide Pure Protein (35 gm's)? I love both of those and so far I'm doin ok with the hair thing, but I'm watching it closely. Also it's only been a couple of weeks for me,LOL! You can get those items I mentioned at GNC or online. They actually taste good. New whey is like a jello shot and the other is like a more flavorful slimfast.

  • Yes, I am drinking a protein whey isolate, trying to get in at least 40 grams by food, and the other 40 grams from the shakes. I shop all the time at GNC..lol. Have to remember I am also a thryoid patient. That probably has something to do with it too.

  • hallo lilvoice!

it seems that you take it easy!?when i wash my hair (dayly) i notice that i´m losing around 50 or so per day.and sometimes when i compare pictures when i was 16, lol i had much more on my head as today.but i wear a had sometimes. xD

  • I am trying to add in another protien shake during the day. Hopefully this will help. You have nice hair. :D

  • I had hair loss as well. My hair had already gotten thin from medicines I was on and when it started falling out it was awful. But... it does come back. Have you tried refried beans? protein shakes? For some reason I had a hard time with protein shakes after surgery. They just didn't taste good to me.

  • I am afraid of the beans. Aren't they high in carbs? I would love to eat them though..lol. YUP them protien shakes are what I am doing. I had a hard time with them before and after surgery. Bleh.

  • how much weight have you lost so far

  • It fluctuates between 45 and 50 pounds so far.

  • o girl that not good / but you have a cute pie in the background

  • Thew weight loss doc up here said that thats one sign ur not getting enough protien in your diet. He said if you see this start to let your doc know so they can get you a supplment to help before it gets too bad. Make sure ur doc knows so u can get that suppliment!

  • I'm 4 mos postop today -- haven't lost any yet, but my hair is so thin already that I know it'll be noticeable when it starts. I dread that part, but it'll still be worth it!

    Dena

  • You bet, I would buy a wig and be thin before going back to the old me..lol.

  • Thanks y'all for commenting! :D

  • Oh yes, honey! I gave birth to several "kittens" of hair! It WILL stop-and it WILL grow back! Yes-going lighter will help hide it a bit. I should try to get a pic of my regrowth. It's hilarious! Little baby hairs coming up all proud! LOL! Hugs!

  • Wow.. So how long does it normally take to get back to normal?? You look like you have a ton of hair..lol. Must have been many, many kittens..lol.

  • Hey doll!~ I lost hair for exactly 2 months. That was month four through month six. I am now in the middle or towards the end of month 7 and it's coming in. It honestly did get thin for "me"-I do have a ton but I feel your pain!

  • I had a close girl freind that that happen to to. I think she had to up her protien.

  • Yes, I am sure I am still not getting in enough protien. The only think that doesn't hurt my tummy as far as meat goes is really fish.

  • You're gonna be just fine

  • hiya! I hope you are doing well, besides losing some hair!

    hugs

    lee

  • that must really be painful for ya but it will get better and hey wat a CUTE baby in the background:-)xxx
