Why yes, Google has pretty much any field you'd need. If it's not there, you can create it.

Not to mention that GMail is an ungodly good mail client.

I think the features are neat but I don't feel it justifies the annual price tag. Without a data plan or wifi connection, these on the fly updates seem worthless. All this does it take out some small busy work. if the appointments are that important, you can manually update these things yourself

Maybe so, but that doesn't mean Mobile ME will be compatible with all 3G and 4G network phones, especially when it comes to competition. I got this for a year free so I really can't complain. But I also don't have an iPhone. The features are down often too.

Updating calendars is a bitch though you have to admit and if your using it for work, you might have deadlines, meetings, interviews, work e.t.c.

If you dont have much free time, why spend it organising yourself? I really love the fact you could update i-cal with your i-phone, I would be able to organise when theres nothing better to do, like sitting on the tube home.

I have a macbook pro, but cant afford an i-phone lol and im not really sociable enough to need one.

I updated itunes and then in noticed mobileme in the control panel, I didn't ask to download it or install it. Fucking apple is nearly as a aback as a trogen i didn't want that shit and i didn't accept it .Apple installed via the back door.

Another thing -itunes sofware is a pile of shit it difficult to use and you cant copy any thing back from the ipod to the computer.

I hope you are not including legitimate purchases bought through iTunes in that statement, as we all know that is possible. Legitimate purchases can go back and forth from iPod, Touch, iPhone back to PC without any problem.

If you are talking about MP3s that went from your PC to your iPod, then of course Apple are not going to assist you in the proliferation of potential pirated material. Why would they?

Every other mp3 player can do that like creative. I wouldn't buy a thing from Itunes as they are more expensive in the UK than they are in the rest of europe, and itunes blocks you from buying from else where in europe, which is against EU policy, The EU doenst really want to help out us brits, even though we pay 9 times as much as the french.

What you say about every other MP3 player is probably correct, but don't forget that Apple's approach to creating an MP3 player, wasn't just about creating a device that could play and copy music, instead they revolutionised an industry by introducing the possibility to purchase digital media online through its iTunes application. The most I've paid for an album online was €9.99 but generally I pay less.

A CD would set me back at least €12.99 and I think most are still sold for €15 here in NL. I personally think that this is a great service offered by iTunes, and I save a fortune in the process. They've sold over 6 billion songs since it's introduction, so it can't be that bad a service they offer surely. You've brought up a good point about the Free movement of goods and services in the Eu, I'll have to look into the legality of that. I never considered it before, very interesting!

Personally i would rather pay say 15 euros for a cd and have something in your hand a convert the music to mp3 or a flac ( the highest quality available) manually, I think that itunes was not really a revolution as it was only a one stop shop. I used minidisks many years before Mp3 but just has to convert the files.
