probably the best version of neon knights ever. better than live evil version. the best black sabbath / heaven and hell assembly ever. RJD \m/ 4ever...
great stuff. Ronnie was Amazing when I saw these guys in Sheffield a couple of years ago. Feel really lucky to have seen him twice, once way back in the 80's when Dio were second on the bill at the Monsters of Rock festival! yes, I'm an old fart! Also, dont you think Geezer doesn't get the credit he deserves? Live, he Drives the whole band. He's a fantastic bass player. Maybe not as flashy as some but should be in the top 10 on Anyone's list
@tour93 I was at the chicago show 8-19-2009 also seen them in tinley park il with judas priest in 08-19-08.wierd that both shows were exactly 1 yr apart.when i seen thse guys in 09 u would have never thought.it would be my last opertunity.the way these guys looked and sounded I figured they would be around for at least a few more albumsand tours.they wanted to make at least one more album and I heard they had planned a 30th anniversary of HH album tour. and were going to do album in its entierty
These guys are great and I enjoy their music and it makes a lot of difference in this world today and there is no doubt about it. Thank you Ronnie James Dio , I give you guys all the praises.
Ronnie looks the same too(just kidding),his voice is amazing, he has never been a partier & the other guys you mentioned were, that makes a big difference, he told Eddie Trunk after being diagnosed that although he was never a big drinker, a drink or two each night after a show for forty years could add up & cause that, but nobody knows for sure, the fact he's taken good care of himself can only help.
@fastwayroknrolla um, what do you mean he still sounds the same? have you even listened to "falling off the edge of the world" from Neon Nights? i'm as supportive of dio as the next, but what excuse have you for how his voice breaks before the song gets heavy?
That's Iommi's Custom made John D sg. made in the mid 70.s. Affectionately nicknamed "old boy". The paint pealed off after leaving the guitar in a car in Arizona.
Wish they would have played the complete Country Girl song as it is one of my favorites from the album Mob Rules. August 18th 2009 Cincinnati,OH It's going to be an awsome show!
I was at the Cinci show too. I was standing right behind the barrier in front of the stage. It was so close some people were actually able to reach out and touch RJD's outstretched fingers when he came over to flash the horns. I was just blown away by the whole experience.
I was in middle section 101. Closer to Tony Iommi's side of the stage. I noticed several people getting to bump horns with Dio. Of the three times i've seen them perform together,Tuesday night's show was by far the best!
I wish they did the whole country girl song eve n though it sounded too kool the way they led into neon nights. oh well, ill be seeing them again this yr in chicago just like i did last yr. and if they tour i 2010. ill be their
Yes i agree with you, but we have to concider his age also, coz no one could do what he is doing now. He is still and he the king of Rock vocalist for ever. Long Live Ronnie.
Indeed! Dio is the absolute ruler, not only for his voice, but for his exquisite writing abilities. I'e always enjoyed this current assemblage of musical talents. I just hope there are more postings on this an other HH concerts. Many thanks--VDP44
C'mon guys....Country Girl is the greatest heartbreak song of all time. It deserves more than just one verse played live.

unfuckin' believable , Ronnie can still bring it after all these years. he sounds exactly the same as he did 20 years ago.
a lot of the singers from the 80's can't sing worth shit now.
david lee roth, vince neil, Sebastian Bach and most of the rest from that era are DONE.
Ronnie's still going strong.

one of the reasons is because hardly did any drugs and even if he did it wasnt hard he doesnt even smoke which helps

"Country Girl" is a classic, the main riff is one of Iommi's best, and THAT'S saying a lot! What a tease though! Cannot wait to see them this week!
